Hey everyone! Glad there is a gamers hangout! To introduce myself, I'm 25 years old, female, and live in Canada. I'm engaged, getting married later this summer, and between me and my fiance we own several consoles. Right now we have a SNES, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, Xbox360 slim with Kinect, Wii, N64, and we each have our own DS and PSP. We also have 3 computers in the house, 2 are desktops and one laptop. Obviously I love video games. I grew up on the NES and still have one but it's at my parents house cause mom likes to play Mario Bros lol. My latest addiction has been Modnation Racers on PS3. Recently finished Dante's Inferno on PS3 and I'm also playing through Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts on the PS2.

I haven't touched pokemon white.... ._. Well... I have but I haven't played it through... XD
After I beat pokemon black, I got a bit bored of my DS... So I haven't played on it....
If you consider a 3d avatar community a game, then I've still been gaming... mainly cause I go into the RP chatrooms that the VIPs make.... o3o Lol.

I haven't touched my DS in a while either. I don't have Pokemon white or black. I never really got into pokemon until maybe earlier this year. I was playing diamond and a friend is a total fanatic, but to the extreme. He's so set on his own ways that everyone else is just "wrong". So... he kinda ruined pokemon for me and then I had no interest in finishing diamond or getting black or white. Everyone has their own way of playing games but he kinda doesn't get that, he's the type of person that if you aren't playing his way, you aren't playing properly. It made for some really bad gaming experiences.

I have been playing pokemon since I was 4.... o3o I have the original silver and gold. I also have:
Mystery dungeons: Blue rescue team & Explorers of darkness
Sapphire and emerald
Diamond, pearl, platinum, soulsilver, black, white
And I have pokemon revolutions for Wii....
I'm wanting to get another pokemon game for wii.... I can't remember the name of it, though
I saw it one day at walmart and had an "omg" moment.... XD
I also have my pokemon cards.... and marbles.... o3o
My daddy has the 24k gold pokemon cards.... I think I have a pikachu one... that, or my dad took it and put it with his... XD I think he has 4 or 5... They are in big pokeball holders....

Yeah i just wanted to play my way but he gets very defensive as if I was saying his way is wrong (which I wouldn't say that ever) and argues about everything. I understand that he's devoted to it and wants to level every pokemon using EV training and what not, but I was just getting into it and just wanted to play my way for the fun of it. Now I haven't touched a pokemon game in a couple months. Sounds like you are really into it, that's great. I know a lot of people are, and it seemed like fun for a little while, I just don't like pushy people insisting on their way of doing things.

I agree, there are many ways to play games and everyone has their own style, as long as you play it without cheating and have fun, you are playing it right in my opinion... back seat gaming, he was doing it wrong! haha
