Not at all. It was a very small magnet (small enough to not be noticed)

Tomorrow, Mom, a neighbor lady, and I are going to Omaha to a metaphysical conference/shiny thing show/shopping experience. I can't find some of the stuff I wanted to bring with me as comfort items.
I use They/Them pronouns.

Because Mom and I don't get along very well most of the time, and I also wanted to compare decks and see if there were any that I might be interested in getting at a later date.
I use They/Them pronouns.

Later today, I have to take our kitten (we think she's about 6-8 months old now, but we aren't sure because she was a rescue) to the vet to get spayed... Sadly, we're also declawing her front claws. I tried pointing out how cruel declawing is, and gave examples of kinder alternatives, but Mom wouldn't budge on that.
I use They/Them pronouns.

i agree. my mom had her cats declawed too, and i feel that's just not right.... so my cats are never declawed. it's also major trauma to the cat, too.

One of my friends did get her cat declawed but that was because there was an infection problem and if they didn't want the cat to die she had to get her declawed. She was a rescue kitty, so it could have been because of the condition she was in before she was rescued. And actually I think the cat had been declawed before adoption now that I think about it...

Declawing really should be illegal. Says the animal disliker. But it's actually chopping off the first joint of their toes.

My sister used to chew the legs of our plastic farm animals. I didn't do that after the first time because I didn't want to wreck my toys. But when I got older I went through a pen cap chewing phase. And I chewed my nails well up into my mid twenties. Those aren't as funny as little kids nomming dirt or feeding people funny sammiches, though. Den and I wrote a cute and silly little story for a friend last night. | ||||
