It depends on what part of america duchess xD

North part normally calls it Pop

southern parts call it soda.. since I lived in north carolina for like 7 months.. I have taken to calling it Soda Pop xD

I dunno... pop comes from when you pop the top of the can to get into the drink xD *or pop the top of the original glass bottles* it makes a pop sound

I don't know how they got soda.. but.. I was down there too long xD

when i traveled down to texas for a week they ask what kinda coke ya want. and i was super confused at what they were trying to ask XD its not pop or soda in texas... its coke. no pepsi. just coke.

I would usually say soda.. it's an american thing but soft drinks I would know in menus in restaurants or some place you go out to eat. LOL.. I would know the difference though.. *mmm dr.pepper*

everything was coke in NC as well but if you didnt say coke it was soda..
