When I was first getting into Steampunk, I really wanted a Bustle dress... I still do, but part of me really wants a big, boofy poofy ballgown based on Civil War Era dresses.

Yeah, hoop skirt and a petticoat might work better, but with multiple petticoats, it'd be a warm outfit for winter... I might do both at some point, tbph. but the patterns I've been eyeing are for 1860's era stuff, which means hoop skirts.
