I am overly sweet. Since I'm a cotton candy flavored rainbow. In my mind, at least.

What I can't stand is bitter.
Like black coffee.

I'm picky about the levels of bitter in things.

I do like wasabi though... not sure why.

Wasabi is evil. And I like bitter. Bitter is lovely.

That's a beautiful set! I'm happy it's only a couple of years old, makes it more likely I might get my hands on it
I like bitter with sweet. Like coffee and dark chocolate.
I like sour with sweet best though, like sour candy and sweet-and-sour chinese food.

When we went to a Japanese for the first (and only) time (they're rare here), my brother took the wasabi paste that came with the vegetarian sushi, and not knowing what it was, popped the whole thing in his mouth.



He's a guy who likes showing off about being able to munch chilies, so he tried to finish consuming it but his eyes were watering and we demanded he not be a first class idiot (he was already second class by just gobbling something he didn't even know and didn't try a taste of), and thankfully he listened to us because he couldn't take it.

And now he shows off saying he loves wasabi and buys wasabi flavoured crisps because they're nowhere near as intense as the real thing and also he's an idiot.
