Or the Modular organism bit? I may actually use that to explain one of my creatures (it's more humorous/less horrific)

I'm wibbly right now because of this. North-central Alberta hasn't got hurricanes or earthquakes, but we can still lose whole cities in hours.

Tam is okay. Edmonton is several miles from Fort Mac. It's where many Fort Mac residents have come to get away from the fires. And this morning it rained a little bit here in Edmonton, so Tam's not melting as badly as she had been.
