which a google search does tell me that it's the cover of the original paperback. whether or not mine's a first printing or nth printing with that cover will have to wait until i get home to look inside the book.

but, i'm glad my random 'this looks interesting' book sale purchase turned out to be a good one. =D

i enjoy the series, even if i need three bookmarks in the book while i'm reading it! XD

That's the art that I got, though not sure it had the "novel of the year" tag on it. It sounded interesting at the time, but went way more into politics and intrigue than I cared for.

yeah, it's quite political - which was another reason i needed a bookmark at the start of the appendix/cast of characters - to see who all was aligned wtih who!

also, i've finished my Chicgoland vamps book, and on to the latest Stephanie Plum novel, Turbo Twenty-Three (it was published last year)

I'm used to be pretty bad at keeping track of that even with maps...but I've gotten better at it. I do need to check the maps again though just to re-learn where all the cities and downs and whatnot are before I keep reading.
I just kind of realized that I know who's where, but I don't know where those places are compared to other places on the continent, world, etc.

I just finished The Evil Genius, by Wilkie Collins.
I am going to start next the Kristin Lavransdatter TRilogy. I'm going to read the first book if I like it I will read the other two if not I'm not going to force myself.

I'm making progress on Kristin ... up to page 30 already. Its very descriptive of Norway in the 1300's. I'm trying to get into that space in my head.

It's my brother's netflix account, and I can't be bothered with it when they aren't visiting so I didn't even know this show was a thing. I hardly watch TV except for the few tv shows that I record. Right now, that's Doctor Who and Face/Off, though I haven't watched any Doctor Who in some time. Takes me a while to get around to actually watching things now. I'm usually on a game instead.

Hence my curiosity for Death by Video Game.

It also doesn't help that the TV is in this room and my other books are downstairs in my room.

Alas, Death By Video Game does not fit any categories on either of my challenge lists so it goes into the superfluous books list.

updated the book in my sig. it's a look at the supernatural fandom, but it was published in 2012, which means it's only through season 7, and there have been five more in the meantime! XD

(so it'll be accurate only for the early days of the fandom - which was pretty much the time i was crazy involved in it. i extracted myself from the fandom around s5, and was completely out of it by the time s7 came around.)

I have been reading non-stop lately. I am almost finished with The Wreath, and I plan to read the other two books The Bride and The Cross, which complete the trilogy. I expected not to like it but I am loving it, so I will continue on to the next book.

I guess I could clarify. I actually am reading quite a bit, but it's internet fanfiction and therefore not list worthy. ;)
