So I have 70 of the things with the blue background and red swirl and 21 of the pink soul looking things. What on earth can I do with the 21 soul looing things as I'm at a complete loss here.

Er...are these the icons on your currency bar thing? Hover over them; the ones with the blue background are Anka Tokens. You get them from achievements and they're used to buy things from the Token shop.

The pink soul things are Lost Souls; they're the event currency. since you have 21, you can use them to buy an item from the event shop. Just don't buy a raffle ticket; the event's technically already over so the raffles won't be held anymore.
