We're all mad here.

I wasn't a big fan of
Brave New World
, though I admit I didn't read all of it. I was in a hurry and it was for class so I read the parts we actually looked at and moved on. Personally, I found the book had a more dated feel as far as science fiction goes, and felt less relevant than it could have been. I was much more interested in the book
We
by Yevgeny Zamyatin. It felt much more poignant to me, and overall more frightening.
We
was actually written decades before
Brave New World
but was only published piecemeal until 1960, about the same time as Brave New World was published for the first time.
Unlike
Brave New World
,
We
is written from the perspective of a person who is a member of and believes in the superior and idyllic nature of their society, which is the current result of extreme revolution and cleansing.
