Avi problems
 

When I save my new avi, it shows me that my old one is still used. I've tried reverting my character, which still shows that the one I recently saved is being used, but not on the forums or the top-right corner. I tried clearing and recreating, which still gave me the same results as when it first happened.

So you save it right?

Have you tried pressing f5 after that? It forces the website to completely refresh whereas the normal refresh button it may not (it "remembers" some images sometimes and doesn't replace them with the new ones)

Yes. I've even go so far as to deleting my cookies and logging out with no results.

It has been going on for the past few hours, Sei and some of the admins have been informed.... I have been waiting for *counts on fingers* Over 4 hours now to see if it saves.... I cleared my cache and history and restarted Safari.

I tried on my PSP, and it didn't even work.

Yeah it is the site ( we are guessing) not your connection because we used both the wifi and his 3g connection on his iPhone to try to change.

Hmm. That's different. I'd say try again in a couple hours, but I'll investigate.

Sorry 6 hours... it is 2 am now... i tried to save right before Gall started uploading the new stuff

I've tried refreshing, hard refresh, shutting browser and bringing back up, and restarting system.

The problem you're describing is definitely server-side. :) But thanks for giving the usual browser avenues a try.

Trying to save you the time and the breath of asking people to try it with every person.

Basic thought is that the server is taking its time updating the non priority ( aka new non colored named users) to the cache because of the uploads. We have 3 hours til server down time, so if it doesn't update by morning that idea is out the window.

Not trying to sound bad here but the only updated avis i have seen are colored names and older users (2000 and before) so slow cache update makes sense.

Not entirely correct, though. The issue happened to me when I just tried.
