Recording Desktop Programs?

I have been wondering for a while what kind of programs are good to record what you are doing on your desktop

my purpose for wanting this is to record as I am drawing have a saved file and then I could later upload it on a site

it would be nice to know how to also do a live drawing thing

I know X-Split, can record and livestream. It is a little buggy... but it works.

I occasionally draw things while people watch via Livestream.

For streaming, there's Livestream, ustream, join.me, and a few others. Recording things to upload later...I know of Fraps, but I'm sure there are more.

Umm. I use fraps. it doesn't live stream but it is good video quality and sound.

I thought fraps can only record games... not the desktop.

It can record desktop. I did it before and it made me mad when I was playing minecraft

See I can't do that... I tried that but it didn't work XD..

Anywho Fraps can run about 20 or 30$ was it...

fraps was shit for me v.....v

Glass Heart 09-01-2012 10:40 PM

ah yeah I've heard of Livestream before, forgot about it though, it's been a while since I heard of someone use it...

Fraps, hmm never heard of it... (looks into it)

hmm ah never thought about it more likely would get better quality if it was bought, had used one thing before my computer had gone bad and I couldn't remember what it was, wasn't a good quality one but it was also free, hmm...

just remember, if the free version can't hold water the paid version prolly won't be too much better
