No weapons? D:

Are there no weapons in the stores? Cause I haven't been able to find any via search feature, but I don't wanna waste time searching page by page so anyone know?

And if there are none, why is that? D:
I need more weapons!!! >w<

Reyoki 06-10-2012 08:00 PM

I do not believe we currently have and common items that are weapons.

Arikana 06-10-2012 09:47 PM

Damn. That sucks. D:

Quiet Man Cometh 06-11-2012 06:18 PM

Yeah, most are event items or token items, or attached to the monthlies. Somethign you're looking for?

littl3chocobo 06-11-2012 06:28 PM

we have more than a dozen even weapons and oodles of monthlies, why would we need commons too?

Arikana 06-11-2012 06:38 PM

Cause the ones in the DIs are too fancy. >w>

littl3chocobo 06-11-2012 06:58 PM

.....that seems like a rather poor reason, are you expecting plainness from commons?

Reyoki 06-11-2012 07:17 PM

I think what she means is they're rather... specific to their sets. Perhaps common weapons would have more versatility?

Gallagher 06-11-2012 07:17 PM

It seems like a fine reason to me. A lot of the weapons we have now, I dislike using because of the complexity. Commons would be plainer, if only for the fact that they would be more limited in colors... Which is the big thing that I see as an issue.

I mean. Dyten's Bow is nice, but not always the sort of look you might want an archer avi to have.

Extreme simplicity in weapons, while not what people call for, is a wonderful addition that does get noticed when it's NOT there, even if people don't give them any attention when they are. It's like if all the shirts we had were lacy and frilly and polka dotted and plaid and striped, but none were JUST a solid color.

The fact is that, as far as commons go, there's still a lot of areas we're lacking in, and as much as we'd like to, we can't get to them all at once. They'll happen when they happen, I'm afraid.

... -hrm- Anyway. I love bows. I'd kill for one of them, like whaaaaat. Oh my god. Or a wand. Does a wand count as a weapon? I mean, it's like... whatever. Yes.

Reyoki 06-11-2012 07:23 PM

A want is not a weapon! It is an instrument of destruction! XD

Quiet Man Cometh 06-11-2012 07:24 PM

A plain old recurve bow would be a nice thing to have, just a plain brown thing, or maybe even a regular long bow. I agree, Dyten's bow is nice, but if you aren't going woodsy with it, then it does stand out.

Things like a plain bow, regular steel dagger, quarterstaff, and axe with wood handle sort of things would make nice common additions, without making the fancy ones redundant.

Gallagher 06-11-2012 07:26 PM

It's truuuue. And, I mean, I know it wouldn't get as much love, but a hot pink dagger would be amazing.

DESTRUCTION! ISN'T THAT WHAT WEAPONS ARE MADE FOR!?

Killing and destruction are practically the same thing, right?

I WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE IF YOU DON'T AGREE!
... Yeah, same thing, right?

Reyoki 06-11-2012 07:30 PM

But the wand doesn't deal the damage. It merely channels the destructive force.

Gallagher 06-11-2012 07:32 PM

... I could smack you really hard with it? Would that make it a weapon?

I mean, it's kind of a stretch here, but couldn't you say a gun doesn't do the damage, the bullet does? Practically the same! ... Sorta.
Alright, probably not.

... I just want to fulfill my dorky desires. -sigh-

Arikana 06-11-2012 07:43 PM

I see I won't need to reply to choco since Reyo and Gall have already done so for me. owo

This is what I get for being distracted from Trisphee... >.>;;

Reyoki 06-11-2012 07:46 PM

XD That aside, though, wands would also be great.
