Anywho aside from not logging in or or posting much I also haven't felt like changing my avatar at all. Except of course I don't care for my current one nothing I try feels inspired. I feel like an artist who can't paint something he likes.

Anyone else currently a stick in the mud? How did you get unstuck? Is there an off chance something interesting happened while you were not changing avatars or just uninspired overall? ...okay maybe ignore some of that last sentence. This is Fashion Trends and not General Chat. ooh! What is the current trend right now anyways?

I usually listen to music when I'm making avi magic. It helps me with theme and colors.

I think the current site-wide theme is Giftmas and red/black combos.

I often forget about how beautiful and diverse a lot of the event items are. I was in an avatar funk for a while, and to get out of it, I picked a couple event items I really liked and made an avi around those. Now I'm churning out avatars like a champ!

A few people seem to like my red elf prince with white hair and crown. But I still feel a little empty looking at it =(
Gonna have another go at an avatar. You complex mix of colors is always neat Lucid =)

Speaking of music, I finally got around to ripping a few certain songs off Youtube videos.

I got frustrated trying to rip things off the youtube. If I knew how to just rip the audio...man I'd go a little crazy on my downloading xD;

I get unstuck by adventuring through my invo every blue moon. I always find something I forgot I had and wanted to make an avi with. xD

I'm kinda in a rut too. Mine though is mostly from a lack of new items and the fact that I'm stupidly going in price order for my quest for everything.

Other than that, I tend to just get new items and work from there. Sometimes it'll only take one item to spark an idea.

Well, I've been in a bit of a rut. Using the same color scheme has been a shortcoming. Trying to listen to my girlfriend's ideas though and also some music to try and see what I can think up.

Me too. :( I'm in an artistic rut and I hate that it's so hard to find people to drag to this site to make this site....less dead. I'd like nothing more than to help Tris become lively and more interesting. The people here are super nice compared to gaia. That's what attracted me here.

I can't remember where I heard someone say this but to paraphase (and probably like...a lot): "\'Humans are like cattle, the more their number their intelligence drops exponentially.'

Yeah I'm paraphrasing the hell out of the quote I'm trying to recall. But I believe that is the particular case with Gaia. At least I think that is part of the equation.

My artistic rut continues! At least in my eyes. Nothing about my red, or this green avatar stand out to me. No spark...I hope I come up with something before the end of thursday...

Yep. I think that's absolutely true about gaia.

Try going for gold and orange. Sounds cheerful. Maybe you can be the beacon of hope for our hiding muses or something. :)
