My Neighbor Totoro

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and still is one of my favorites.

Has anyone else here seen it? Any thoughts, critisms, interpetations, ect?

Personally, I think the movie could have had a -bit- more explaination. So. Many. Unanswered. Questions. o n o

Thank goodness I'm not the only one! I absolutely LOVE Hayao Miyazaki's work!

Rinni 12-15-2011 04:39 PM

So do I. >u< I'm still working on seeing all of them.

*wishes I could go see "Mei and the Kitten Bus"* T~T Totoro Mini-Sequel, why you only be in the Studio Ghibli Museum in Tokyo? o n o

Demonskid 12-15-2011 04:44 PM

=w= The kitty bus had genitals xD

*cough* I love this movie x3

Rinni 12-15-2011 05:02 PM

XD I knows. I don't think that would have been okay had the movie been made nowadays. Then again, I don't think most little kids (myself included) paid much attention to that part. XD

Demonskid 12-15-2011 05:12 PM

I noticed it my 1000000 time watching it xD

Rinni 12-15-2011 07:01 PM

I noticed back in middle school and was like . . . whut? o.o

Demonskid 12-15-2011 07:11 PM

For some reason I just never saw it there until the beginning of this year.. I told a few people about it xD Lucid said I ruined her childhood OnO

Serra Britt 12-15-2011 10:58 PM

I admit I never noticed THAT part...

This was my first Miyazaki film. The start of a long wonderful relationship XDD

Demonskid 12-15-2011 11:40 PM

It's good to know that the cat bus was a male xD

Serra Britt 12-15-2011 11:42 PM

I guess so XD

I really enjoy it a lot even if it was another friend of mine's least favorite... wait, no, second least favorite. Her least favorite was Porco Rosso :p

Demonskid 12-15-2011 11:55 PM

Porco Rosso was ok. My favorite was Mononoke Hime x3

Rinni 12-16-2011 04:08 PM

I haven't had a chance to see Porco Rosso yet, or Mononoke. v.v *still trying to get them!*

Serra Britt 12-17-2011 10:07 PM

I have loved them all really. I'd say my two favorites are the Cat Returns and Whispers of the Heart.

Hero 12-31-2011 10:53 PM

I've watched it and I love it!
Studio Ghibli does some amazing work
I feel like a lot of Ghibli movies leave things unexplained but that's the beauty of it I suppose
