Seabreeze

Is it just me, or do the last three poses of Seabreeze Caress look a bit...faded...when equipped on an avi? (As compared to the preview)

Coda 10-01-2011 01:42 PM

I don't suppose you have a Mac, Espy?

Espy 10-01-2011 01:53 PM

Nuh-uh. I don't like Macs. (But how's that relevant? o.O)

Coda 10-01-2011 02:41 PM

Because certain information in PNG files is handled differently by Macs than by Windows PCs, which could manifest as appearing as different brightnesses or being slightly faded. Your web browser on Windows completely ignores it.

I suppose it's possible that the avatar editor's backend actually DOES pay attention to it when saving the final version of the images, so what you see in the editor and what you see after you save will be different.

It's not terribly difficult to fix but it'll take a long time on the server and I don't want to start the process when there are so many users logged in.

littl3chocobo 10-01-2011 02:43 PM

so you'll fix it at about 4am?(it's before 2pm here now)

Espy 10-01-2011 02:43 PM

Alright, thanks for the info :) Really doesn't matter much; I'm just OCD about stuff.

Coda 10-01-2011 02:51 PM

choco, no, probably not tonight, it'll have to be some time when I'm still awake. I'll find a good time to run through everything.

Espy 10-02-2011 11:48 PM

Oh, I've noticed that it's only the teal and dark blue three-triangle/jewel waistband-ish male pose that has that problem. The female poses are fine.

Coda 10-03-2011 01:19 AM

Espy, I've got the process running right now, can you check this for me tomorrow?

Espy 10-03-2011 01:21 AM

Not until at least 3 pm PST. But sure.

Coda 10-03-2011 01:22 AM

That's fine, it's going to be a couple hours before this finishes most likely.

Espy 10-03-2011 01:24 AM

Okies, cool. Will try to remember to post here tomorrow.

Espy 10-03-2011 05:36 PM

Reporting back! Nup, the poses are still off-color.

Coda 10-03-2011 05:44 PM

Hmm, if that's the case it was probably saved wrong. We'll have to get an artist to fix it. (Don't we have an official Item Bugs thread?)

Espy 10-03-2011 06:30 PM

(Whoops. Forgot about that. Should I post there?)

Echo-chan713 10-03-2011 10:10 PM

Is the Seabreeze problem fixed cause I'm trying to find the error in Seabreeze
