Wicked's Images

So. Wicked takes photos and wants to show them to Trisphites.
She's also going to stop talking in the third person right.. about.. now.

I'm only putting up my best work
So I just want to point out that not every or many
of my photos turn out like this.

Also sorry some of the pics are kind of big.
I'll look into how to do the thumbnails if it's a problem
but everything's behind spoilers at any rate.

Random and Weird

Lots of love to Feyth for tipping me off to the concept of creating a gallery. Thanks Feyfey!

Random and Weird...yes, I agree with that. Looks neat but...weird...

Except for the Dani Filth photos, which were probably taken with a poor camera anyways, they all look really nice :3

Espy 09-21-2011 08:57 PM

AH. BLACK CAT. She/he looks awesome. And wow, I love the second goose picture, ahaha.

Wicked 09-21-2011 09:11 PM

The Dani Filth pictures are super grainy because I was mega zoomed in.
I was actually standing on the balcony about 20 feet up and say 100 feet away from the stage.
I selected those two pictures for my portfolio because he is very difficult to photograph he moves around A LOT and always makes an "ooh" face when he does his growls. >< I had about a dozen pictures where he's making that face. Ended up deleting the bulk of them.

The random weird skeletal thing I think is some deer remains.
My step brother found them in the woods and drug them home.
We couldn't figure out what the devil it was at first.
Came up with so ridiculous theories.

I really should have tried to save and bleach some of the bones but it didn't occur to me at the time.

And thanks Espy! I'll tell the Bubbas you think he's a handsome beast.

I really really want to do more portraits. I found out my step-niece relative type person has some interest in modeling so I'm going to pester her about letting me shoot. And I'd like to get my step brother to take a few photos with me because there's no decent pics of the lad and he's gotten quite handsome. He is forever making scrunchie mad faces at the camera and I think if the shoot was artistic/gothic enough for him he would break out of that. At least for that one shoot.

Wow! C:
I love your geese and landscape photos and my feelings for your cat photo can be only described by this <3_<3.
Thank you so much for sharing! And please post some more when possible. C:

Thanks Rainy!

The Bubba kitty is in my lap right now.
*makes him wave to Rainy*

I wish I had more opportunities for landscape photography.
Everything within walking distance is super flat
.

Feythfull 09-24-2011 10:42 PM

oh where is that and what is that abandoned place? >.> not like it would be anywhere near me. . .

Kotetsu 09-25-2011 04:07 AM

I really like the third Goose photo. It would need a bit more contrast, though.

But what kind of camera are you using?
Just a normal compact digital camera, right? I know it is almost impossible to take really good photos even with the best compact camera, so I would suggest getting a "real" camera. xD

SLR cameras work wonders even if you'd have to pay at 700$ for a decent lens and another 600-700$ for a decent camera. If you want to take "artistic" photos, you should look into it!
I can recommend the Canon Eos cameras. They are affordable (starting at about 400-500$ I think) and have lots of flashes and lenses.

All of these photos would look much better if there was a real focus on them. Something you can hardly achieve without an SLR camera, sadly :<

(But: cute cat, omg <3)

Wicked 09-25-2011 04:23 AM

Thanks Ven! Photography is just a hobby of mine so even dropping the 300 bucks on my camera however many years ago was a bit much. I do wish I had more control over the focusing but I'll live with what I've got.

Feyth - it was the office of a mini golf place. None of the nifty props and stuff for the holes were left behind and the lot was just overgrown with weeds but there were was a random Disney image on the walls. Not graffiti but part of the original decor.

Kotetsu 09-25-2011 04:36 AM

Oh, I thought you were going to get really into it. XD
Well, then 300 bucks seems like a decent amount.
If you ever want to get a new compact camera within the next years though, I can really recommend the Canon PowerShot cameras.
They have a really nice focus on close objects and give you that same blurry background effect that SLR cameras do. (:

Wicked 09-25-2011 04:38 AM

Nah. I'm not super serious about it.
The photos I chose are my "best work" but that just means they were worth sharing.

Kotetsu 09-25-2011 04:40 AM

Okay ^^ Getting an SLR camera sure is worth the money but I cringe even thinking about spending more than 1000$ on a lens and flash. It's horrible that those things are so expensive :<

Wicked 09-25-2011 04:46 AM

Yeah if Wicked had 1000 bucks she'd buy a new hot water heater AND pay some bills.

Heh. Maybe someday I could afford a nicer camera.

AcidDrop 09-28-2011 08:13 PM

those piccies are wicked cool <3
i love your dani filth, love him coz he's shorter then me.. WOOP!!
your landscape ones = amazing

Wicked 09-28-2011 10:07 PM

Wow. Thanks AcidDrop. I dunno about amazing but I'll take the compliment!
Dani was damned difficult to capture. He doesn't stand still, EVER. Which is great for stage presence but it doesn't make taking his photo while he's preforming a easy thing.
