Trisphee - Job Corps

Since finding a job for me is really this difficult, I am considering job corps.

Benefits:

Free Education
Free Dorms
Free Food
Free basic Medical and Dental care
Basic living allowance which increases over time, and a transition allowance after you graduate.

What I don't like:
I'll be away from my boyfriend (at least 150 miles away or so)
I can only leave during winter and summer breaks
I might not have internet access for long periods of time (up to 3 or 4 months at a time I think)
I might have up to seven roommates

Sooooo... has anyone here been in Job Corps or lived on campus? What was it like? Did it help you?

If you haven't been in Job Corps, what is your take on it? Do you think I should go for it?

I've known a few people who have been in job corps, and they never had any complaints. I never asked directly what they thought of it, but it seems like a pretty good deal for younger people who absolutely cannot find work.

I fit into the category of absolutely not finding work. I don't know if it's because this is such a small town or whatever, but I'm getting sick of being turned down and having no resources to get my life going.

I've never been in a job corp but I was in a job program (they never helped me DX)
