Saiunkoku Monogatari
☲ ☲ ☲ ☲ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ☲ ☲ ☲ ☲ This is a series that I want to read and when I get the internet back I think I will look for it to read. I've read some speculation of what is going to be in the final chapter of the manga, which is coming out soon if I'm right. I'm wondering if anyone has read this series, is currently reading it, watched the anime series, what they all think of both versions. I'd love to watch the anime, but I don't know if I should just read it first then watch it or watch it and then read it. Any suggestions would be loved. Okay, I've watched both seasons of the anime and read as much as the scanlators have translated. All in all...it's good, if a bit unsurprising in it's plot twists...mostly. I'm NOT a fan of the english version for one reason. They freakin' change characters names. I KNOW they did it cause trying to explain that two family names sound the same but AREN'T is hard for american audiences to understand.
In so far as I know they're actually both based on novels, and there some HUGE twists that come up near the end, but I don't think the manga is anywhere close to that point. After all the anime sorta skated over about a third of the storyline, and the manga isn't even halfway through the first season of the anime's plotline. |
