Weirdest wake up call ever
 

I've found over the years that cat stares have weight. More so when you're asleep even. And when just their eyes don't work they're happy enough to use feet, tails, tongues or whatever it is to get you up LOL

I've had dreams that have had alarms, and bells wake me up on days I've forgotten to set alarms as well, so I think our brains are quite good at helping us out.

Though, fair warning with the cats, don't do the 3am thing often unless you want to be woken up EVERY morning that way, they will take advantage of it and start waking you every day.

Then I had one with a guy yelling "WAKE UP"

I wouldn't say I've waken up in any sort of "odd" way. It's usually what's rolling around in my head just before I wake up that's wierd.

Little routines are interesting though. My dog will make me up at times. Not so much now but when we was younger he would wake me up at 10am on the button. Wouldn't do anything, just be there sniffing at my face a little when I opened my eyes or felt him walking across the bed. Then he'd lie back down and go to sleep again. He did sleep in a kennel though, and he sleeps on the floor most of the night now, so it's like he decides that around that time he's going to join me on the bed for a while. Maybe he's making sure I'm still okay or that I'm still me with his 'checking in.' Now that I think about it, when he was a puppy he slept in a kennel and I took him outside at 6am to pee and then he slept until 10am when he would want out of his kennel. Maybe from their he learned to differentiate between "bed" time and kennel (sleep) time. He certainly spends a lot of time on my bed during the day.

One thing I can tell with him, is that he doesn't always like to stay up late but doesn't want to miss things. Around 11-midnight, closer to 1-2 now, he starts to pace around then goes into the bedroom for ten minutes and comes out again, glaring at me. He does seem to want me to go to bed, even though, as with his mornings, he is only on the bed for a little while before spending the night on the floor or in his bed.

When he does sleep on the bed all night, it's because he's a little insecure I think, since he will often lie up close to my head instead of down by my feet or off to the side.

It's cute. He's not much for licking unless he's nervous, so hsi nose hovers just about an inch or two away.

I like to say he is well mannered. :)
