Niya's Training Grounds
 

Welcome to my training grounds. I warn you now, I will use any means necessary to beat you down until you learn how to defend from it. I am joined here by many other leaders and they will help me whip you into shape.

Your trainers are:

Niya Sunder: Daughter to Ryuko sunder, future leader of the Ascent Arco people. Wields a naginata, can fly, uses ice elements, is deadly accurate with magic.

Panora Karsalia: An estranged *spoiled brat* relative of the queen. Wields a whip and powerful 'Hydra' magic. *But is to afraid to do anything useful*

Dyten: the leader of the Alti'ui of Kalin. He agreed to bring his people and fight for Ryuko. He wields a long bow, can fly with deadly speed, and uses light based magic.

Ryuko Sunder: Former keeper of the sacred book of secrets and leader to the Ascent Arco, though he can no longer fly as his wings were cut off when he was banished by Maesha. Wields a spear and uses powerful 'hydra' magic.

Axel: Once a human of Kalin, Axel is now a powerful creature of the night. He is here to help his friends in any way he can and assists in the training of troops here while other leaders are away. He is skilled in magic, however he has the strength for physical combat as well. His weapon of choice, when not using magic, are his own claws which extend from his fingertips like a cat.


Word Bank: (for those of you who might be confused)
Naginata: Much like a spear but has what looks like a short curved blade at the end of the staff.

Hydra Magic: Any element can be used by a person who uses Hydra magic. Currently speaking there are only three known wielders; Maesha, Pandora, and Ryuko.

Kalin: one of Quesaria's sister planets.

Npc's will be in and out of this thread, you can role play with them here and interact and perhaps even affect the story line.

(Isn't a naginata a halberd?)

Espy slipped quietly into the outskirts of the training grounds. It was almost empty, for now. Perfect. Wouldn't like to hurt anyone with alchemy...

She had been practicing plenty since the last war. Her enemy...might be surprised.

Ah, Kalin. I should return home sometime.

(Inasmuch as they're both polearms, yes, but a naginata is a blade on a stick while a halberd is a spike on an axe on a stick.)

Niya walked up to Axel quietly "I must thank you for your help again, after all your skills are of a true asset to us." The woman smiled lightly, she wondered what his motivations were at times, what ever reason it was Niya appreciated it.

(o.O;; Coda's turn to make my day, haha.)

Axel turned to Niya and nodded, "I am honoured to help my friends in their time of need. Please think nothing of it."

((So what would make a glaive?))

Quiet couldn't help but overhear. "You are from Kalin, Axel? You came with Dyten then? Or are you here of your own accord?"

((Quiet - It's more like a glaive))

Axel turned his head to the figure dressed in white, "Yes, I am from Kalin, however this is the first time Dyten and I have met. We did not travel together."

(A naginata is simply a specific kind of glaive.)

"I will continue training troops while the other leaders are not around. Please don't be shy. I don't usually bite."

"That is good to know. The battles are getting more and more fierce. I just finished a rather lengthy sparing match. Fortunately, that skill is on our side."

Reve walked quietly into the training grounds, her gunblade in tow. "I would love to train any recruit who wishes to learn the art of the gunblade. It is a powerful weapon. But I warn you, I'm a bit of a workaholic..." she chuckled.
