Suggestions for a Laptop

So Tai and myself share a laptop and the poor darling is now 6 years old. Yeah, old bugger. So I want my own before this one drops dead, but I have no idea what to look for.

I want good memory, ability to handle at least Sims 2 and a few expansion packs and user friendly.

I want to know what range I should look at and prices. I am in UK, so GBP would be love. What is the least I should go for and what is the most?

I also want to think about anti-virus. I saw one that was called 'Titanium'...something. It was on offer but that would be long gone or whatever.

Any help is love.

(。◕‿◕。) I have a HP Pavilion. It has 450g harddrive.
4gigs of memory. It's pretty
fast. I don't have any problems
waiting for things to load. I just
have to wait a few mins til firefox
loads up. But I think that is the
program itself not my pc.

HP has several good laptops for reasonable prices, along with Asus and Dell. Gateway is reliable as well. Just avoid Acer at all costs!! They are buggy when they do work and when they don't.....well, that's another topic.
