Yeah, it would be really shocking.

I'm usually pretty bad at chess, but if I could play Wizard Chess I definitely would try it at least once.

I have not played Chess in so long.

It could be interesting to watch little pieces move around.

However, if they destroy each other every game, how do you get more pieces for playing a game with??

Or you could use the spell, "Reparo".

I suppose they dump the broken pieces back into the storage box to regenerate, or maybe have chess sets made out of paper or dough or some other cheep stuff so that it is inexpensive to get a new set.

It did not look like it was made of anything cheap on the movie.

It did look like it was made of stone for the large one in the dungeon - and maybe ivory for the small one Rom and Harry played in a Christmas scene.
