Invisible Bugs

My cat must be seeing them because she keeps stalking around my room and staring at random spots ;-; It's creeping me out.

Your cats ever do that?

Taki 05-20-2011 10:57 AM

All the time. D: and she doesn't try to catch them either, but play with them or just... stare.

I'm usually like "KILL IT ALREADY OR DO SOMETHING IDC."

Alexander Linden 05-20-2011 10:57 AM

My cat does that all the time. She chases them aroung too.

I may be crazy, but I think when they do that, it's like spirits or something.
And only they can see them because they have that heightened sense.

Oh yes, my cat does that all the time. All of a sudden he'll start glaring at a spot and pounce. I have a decent bug radar myself so I know there's nothing there...

Back in a town I used to live in if I was sitting on the couch that went the same way as the hallway I'd see it out of the corner of my eye. Sometimes I'd see a white figure glide by the end of the hallway, towards where my room was I swear. I thought it was just a trick to my eyes until a cat (and dog, we had a couple there) were in the same room as me.

a lot of times cats are seeing either small gnats, large dust motes, or pricks of light. This is why playing with laser pointers is hilarious. My last cat didn't do these things, he was more fixated on me petting him RIGHT NOW. But my brothers cat would do that, then randomly go insane and cause himself to tumble nose over toes...he was a speshul li'l thing.

LOL yeah i know right...so creepy..

Ashley 05-21-2011 12:59 PM

My cat does that sometimes and I'll just be watching her trying to figure out if an actual bug is there and I'm just blind or if she's hallucinating <.<.

Demonskid 05-21-2011 01:00 PM

my cat does that but.. he knows its a spot and it amuses him

Hiccup 05-22-2011 03:22 PM

Mine does it, but it's nothing invisible. Every time, it's something she can see, with her way-more-awesome eyes. And if I follow her line of sight, I'll see whatever bug it is too. It's very interesting to watch, I agree, because cats are always in their hunter mode and on guard. Well...at least, I can't speak for the cats that have eaten too much.. xD

Ginger 05-22-2011 04:09 PM

I don't have kitties but I've seen them do that before. I think it's pretty creepy but at the same time it's interesting and I can't help but stare xD

Nightmare 05-23-2011 12:32 PM

I think my cat does that when she sits in my bath. x u x
Right after someone gets out she'll go sit in the tub and
look around like there's a bug. It's creepy to watch, but
funny at the same time. xD

Maybe your kitty is just hyper. :3
