100 Battles!

Okay I am sure many of you are much further along than that, but I've participated (or "not participated") in 100 battles now! Ironically, half of them are wins and half losses... (oops). How is everyone else faring?

X a k i 11-28-2010 05:34 AM

I just started today 'cause I er.. don't really play here. oxo
But I'm at two wins to three losses currently.

Though I do believe the odds are a 50:50 so it would make sense, as ironic as it is, for you to have a 50:50 ratio.

femme gauche 11-28-2010 05:36 AM

Well, I think it is based on what people actually choose, more like a version of "rock, paper, scissors". No dynamite option.

X a k i 11-28-2010 05:39 AM

Haha, you got me. xD;

But yeah, it pretty much is, except with five instead of three.
It still gives you a 50:50 chance of winning though because you're going up against another person.

femme gauche 11-28-2010 05:42 AM

Yeah, that's true enough XD.

And yes, yes I did :P.

X a k i 11-28-2010 05:47 AM

I wish there was a 50/50 chance of finding feathers to broken swords though. :c
There are more items I want with feathers.
Then again, maybe those items are worth more?

Or they're just more elusive because the wind is blowing them away. oxo

I hit my 200th win today, and stopped for a while because I thought it was cool. I have 180-something losses, too. I've had about 20 more wins than losses almost the whole event.

X a k i 11-28-2010 05:49 AM

Argh, you got me again. D:

femme gauche 11-28-2010 05:50 AM

I dunno, theoretically it is still easier to lose than to win. And if you just keep the battle window going no matter what you do, and just click back to the war, you can lose many times, but winning requires actually paying attention. Haha. So... I am guessing the feather items would be more valuable, so finding feathers more difficult. See the logic? XD it took so long ot say.

That might be more accurate, as I have lost a good many just by not paying attention, which mucks the nubmers up.

X a k i 11-28-2010 05:52 AM

That makes sense, but even around the site I've been finding a lot more broken swords and only feathers twice, I would think at least there they could up the drop rate a little. x:

femme gauche 11-28-2010 05:53 AM

It's been similar for me but funnily enough I just found two feathers whilst posting in this thread.

X a k i 11-28-2010 05:55 AM

/Envy/ D:

Oh, has it been mentioned for how long this will carry on?
And when did the event first start?

Considering I got active last night, it'll be a while before I can get everything I need, especially since it was pretty much dead yesterday. >x>;;
My win to lose rate is highly in the losses /bad luck/

femme gauche 11-28-2010 05:56 AM

Yeah, I don't know the answers to either of those questions since I sort of jumped in in the middle of it as well.

Lucid: 11-28-2010 05:56 AM

Feathers are supposed to be rarer. To get a full set, you need 430 swords, but only 180 feathers. you get most of the feathers you need by battling and some by browsing the site, but to get all the swords you need, you need to be finding more swords than feathers.

the event has no set end date, because the staff wants us to have plenty of time to collect enough currency for a full set. There were also some errors that took a few days to fix, so I believe that extended the length of the event some as well.

femme gauche 11-28-2010 05:56 AM

That makes much more sense than the pseudo logic that I was using. Thank you. XD.
