I am proud because I did most of my shopping way earlier in the year than usual.

My gift I am most proud of is that I got my friend that is a HUGE Aquaman fanboy (since forever, not just since he's been sexy) a waterproof notebook...so he can write him love letters. It's like one part gag gift and one part nerdy joke and I love it.

Gizzie is receiving CASH from others LOTS OF CASH no gifts lol

Mekatra 12-14-2017 12:53 AM

That's mostly what I have gotten too. Cash and cookies.

Giving candies mostly. I always worry I'll give people stuff they don't need or want ^^;;

I bought my dad a neat mechanical train kit... And haven't picked something for my mom yet. Nor a few other people. I'd better get on that.

i've already wrapped all my gifts, so i can't show pictures of anything. but i got my sister a little book of color your own postcards, got my mom an adult coloring book and one of those wax candle bowls that have the scent infused in it, my other sister is getting a blanket, an ugly sweater, some jammies, some llama kitchen stuff, and various other little stuff, and her boyfriend is getting a south park figure and some deadpool socks. i'm excited for christmas to be here already!

.....grgh. Call me a killjoy, but IMO the whole gift-giving thing is just a consumerism ploy.

trystan830 12-14-2017 02:17 AM

i crocheted a number of my HollyDay gifts, actually. and i got some gift cards for others. =)

Mekatra 12-14-2017 02:23 AM

Oh I 100% agree, Espy, but I freaking love giving presents to people and Christmas is an excuse and no one gets weird about being given a gift

tsukiko 12-14-2017 02:57 AM

most of my gifts were either from the thrift store, from the dollar store, or super duper on sale xD

Panda 12-14-2017 04:07 AM

I'm about a third of the way done with my shopping. I got my little sister a locally published cookbook that's proceeds go to the local women's shelter. Sister likes to cook, sister went to school in this same town, and sister is a feminist so it's really a perfect gift for her.

I got her and my mom (and myself) each a necklace a friend of mine made, and got my boyfriend some beard oil that my photo teacher/boss makes at the 'annual ceramic sale' at school (but people in the arts sell stuff that isn't ceramics lol). Gonna miss the ceramic sale when I graduate, makes my shopping a bit easier every year.

Probably gonna get my mom a candle or something, something else for boyfriend, and then I gotta do something for sister's boyfriend. I have no idea what the hell to do for my dad ever. Considering framing one of my photos for him or something, I usually get him a book and find out he's already read it. He's hard to shop for. Every year my mother and I lament that we have no idea what the hell to do for the guy. He just doesn't care about stuff. Hard to find the right stuff for a dude who couldn't care less.
