Avi Glitch

I use firefox and for some reason all of my avi's stuff is in the back of my avi's head or not there at all and it is still doing it. Have you figured out how to fix this problem yet?

Ok, so Firefox updated a while back and decided to change the browsers page load rate, which is how long it'll take to go from one page to another basically. When they did this it screwed with our wardrobes functions because it takes a few moments more than what Firefox is now giving. So when this happens it cause certain items, usually the back or hair items, to display improperly.

This is supposedly not actually an easy fix, and by the fact we have one Coder, cause Toho is pay as you go for everyone who didn't know that, we can't exactly have this fixed super fast. Plus we also have to pay said Coder still and it needs to be a fair rate, which we can't afford :I

This issue has been brought up numerous times. Unfortunately, it's Firefox's fault and not Trisphee's, making a permanent fix quite difficult to implement. I'm not really the person to give advice on this, but (as much as I hate to say it), your best bet may be to temporarily use another browser for editing you avatar.

Again, it is a known issue and we do apologize for any inconvenience.

Umm...try to change Firefox's refresh rate? There are ways to do so on the Firefox forums, I believe. (As a note, the issue also has happened on Chrome and IE)

Nexess 02-14-2014 04:16 AM

This issue hasn't happened on Chrome as far as I know Lawtan, IE yes, because it's IE, what does everyone expect from that dinosaur.

There's been several reports of it happening in Chrome, just less frequently. As I've mentioned in other threads, it's all about how long it takes to save, and it CAN happen in any browser if the server is too backed up.

So. I did some stuff today. When you have the opportunity, do me a favor and try using the avatar editor in Firefox again.

It should work beautifully, but I take no responsibility for any instance of damaging the space-time continuum or summoning of eldrich horrors from the deep.

o_o I am both excited and worried at hearing this.

That aside, I hope it works out for everyone. :)

Well, you know, it's always a good idea to disavow responsibility for eldrich horrors. :P Never know when they might show up.

Regardless, I likely won't test this out as I'm quite happy with using Safari. :)

Coda 03-15-2014 09:41 PM

I recently switched from Safari to Chrome because Safari's gotten slower and slower. I still like Safari's UI better, but it makes my laptop cry.
