Ascell's Jacket is glitching out - Top layer doesn't appear, bottom layer hidden
I'm trying to use the Ascell's Jacket, and when I try to save my Avi, the top layer of the Jacket vanishes, and the bottom layer suddenly shuffles down below everything else. Not sure how to fix this...
EDIT: I am wearing only the jacket now. Not sure what's going on, but this is what happens to the jacket. |
coda has not kept up on your browser's ability to read his coding, this is an error caused by your browser being too new or in the case of ie never having been compatible, chrome still works i believe
...oh, so it appears normal to everyone else?
no, it appears normal for chrome users, if you have ie safari or firefox you may or may not be able to have it work
unless you mean visibly, in which case no, it is most certainly not there for everyone |
Alright then.
sorry dear, i say you should mention it to him, if enough people complain maybe he will try and fix it?
Uh... what? No, no, no, the avatar editor is COMPATIBLE with all of the major browsers. It even works on an iPad, if I recall correctly. The timeout issue isn't a question of code compatibility.
If you're having problems with layers saving, yes, try a different browser, but also try editing your avatar at a different time of day. It's really about speed more than anything else. |
you said back in 2011 that trisphee was not made to run on ie and was never going to be fixed to run on ie, you never fixed that issue to my knowledge and that is what it means to be compatible, to have the coding be readable and usable, the coding cannot be read properly on other browsers anymore therefore is not compatible light a bulb with the wrong wattage
for the record though noone has mentioned there ever being an influx of glitching during high-use times and before i had an upgrade of my firefox i did not have issues. i have made avatars all throughout the day with both high traffic and no traffic and during high-ussage and low-ussage times of day with no difference barring times of high traffic during high usage which simply does not allow the avatar page to properly load |
I believe your thinking of the mobile site Choco, the Avatar Editor can be used perfectly fine with all internet browsers. And it's just the browsers time out issues that are causing the layering problems, nothing to really do with the editor itself, it just glitches when it takes to long to load a new outfit. And this is only to some people, I don't have this problem on the mobile site myself, but if I use my firefox on my laptop some items do have issues.
not the mobile site dear, i have nothing to do with the mobile site
Well it works fine on EI, I even double checked right now, still works fine. Coda probably did fix it and just did the normal coda thing and forget to tell anyone lol
you are anble to save your avatar without errors then?
Yea, I'm not sure if anything below I believe 6 would be the same though, I believe that's the lowest version of IE it was made for.
ah, well then i stand corrected on ie and i am glad that one now works
I only have IE,Firefox, and Chrome though, so if it's a problem with another browser I'd have to jab Coda or Toho to stab at it and fix it.
But for the actual layering issue it's just the time out settings on your browser, Firefox and IE have shorter ones than Chrome, that's why it's working best right now. |
What I had said was that IE wasn't on our first-tier support list. It's on the second-tier one, which means that it's possible that things might slip through the cracks here and there but it's SUPPOSED to work. Especially in IE10 things should be pretty solid.
