he had noticed the change, he always noticed when the sun stayed less and the earth slowed it's movement but the change rarely brought the winged ones. he knew they traveled before the snow to have their kits live in perpetual warmth until small wings could support smaller bodies and so when they rang their bells and walked his mountain he knew one of the elderly ones must be dying or dead. slithering from the warm belly of the mountain he went to the front of his cave to see the youth they brought to study under his tutelage and the meat and gold that was his payment for not eating it

(he has two forms and his dragon one is the one he is using now)

It was all just a blur, he didn't know how he even got where he is now. He woke up disoriented, he rubbed his eyes to see whoever would be with him in whatever place he is now.

All that he remembered though that there were some ropes, teeth gnashed, creatures fought, and a group of winged people and what seemed to be like dragons.

He felt a mix of warmth and cold, but the cold started to cave in, he tried to get up. Everything was still a blur.
