MMOs

:s-laugh:

There are many MMOs out there. What MMOs do you play?
I've gotten caught in the Secret World, Rift, and DDO.

Alpha 01-24-2013 02:27 PM

Hmmm.....well, guess it's all on how you define it.

Big ones? WoW, occasionally Old Republic, sometimes Diablo 3....yeah, that's about it.

Smaller ones? Dawn of the Dragons......yeah, I got nothing else right now.

Kit Katy 01-24-2013 09:48 PM

Tried out WoW and I haven't really played the others. I couldn't really get into WoW mainly because a good portion of the players are rude especially to new players. :/

Alpha 01-24-2013 10:55 PM

Eh, they are. Quick question though, did you try out Horde or Alliance?

Espy 01-25-2013 01:11 AM

Could've sworn there was another thread like this somewhere...

Anyways, I just recently got into TERA, and that's about the only MMO I've been playing lately (what a surprise!)...I'm probably going to try Star Wars TOR this weekend.

I've played almost every single free-to-play MMORPG out there.

EDIT: /fantasy/ MMORPG. I don't do much FPS.

Kit Katy 01-25-2013 01:20 AM

I've heard of Alliance, not Horde. Haven't really played either one yet.
Do they cost or are they free?

Alpha 01-29-2013 02:41 PM

The game itself? Free to play up to level 20. Both factions included.

And Old Republic is good Espy. Played it before they made it free to play though....well, did the "up to level 20 thing". Also, tried out Star Trek Online?

Kit Katy 01-30-2013 03:54 PM

Heard of Star Trek Online but I'm not really a SciFi person.
What about Age of Conan?

Alpha 01-30-2013 05:15 PM

I'm more of a sci-fi person, so the games suit me....well, that plus fantasy.

Never played Age of Conan.

Currently I play LOTRO as my mmo of choice, Tera goes free to play next month though hardly did well in the states and my poison I am really waiting to release or get into a beta for is Elder Scrolls online ~felt the need to share~

My husband and I started playing Dragon Nest together just last night. We enjoy it so far, though sometimes I get frustrated with the camera controls.

Espy 02-04-2013 03:56 PM

Dragon Nest is fun. I haven't played it in forever, though. I get discouraged when everyone else is way ahead of me.

Lucid: 02-05-2013 12:55 AM

That's the main reason I almost never play MMOs, but it's much more fun when I have somebody to play with. And I also like how everything outside of town gives me my own instance so I don't have any max-level jerks ruining my game and taking all my stuff.

Maro 02-06-2013 02:31 PM

I've played so many it's hard to remember them all.. but the only one I've really stuck with is Wonderland Online

kiwii.bomber 02-14-2013 10:20 PM

Oh dear; let's see here...

My very first MMO was PWI [Perfect World International], and have since played 9Dragons, Forsaken World, Aika Online, Heroes of Three Kingdoms, WoW [the F2P portion], Chronicles of Spellborne, Aion, and was one of the first beta testers for FireFall - which is pretty awesome, even though it's still working out some kinks. :'D
There are definitely a few others, but i don't remember what they are at the moment... >>;

One I'm planning on playing when I have the time is Blacklight: Retribution. *o*

I'm a WoW girl all the way. I miss it!
