Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
So, the first expansion for Starcraft 2 has been given a release date and much more. So, who is interested to see where the developers take us through the eyes of the Sarah Kerrigan, the former Queen of Blades? Is she human again and out to use the Swarm for good? Or is she the same brutal monster she was before?

lol the bf loved star craft. I dont play it but I watch it and the back stories and everything. The new additions to the games are good but I think that the (excuse spelling) unltralisk's are over powered they basically one hit marines now with the expansion

I still haven't gotten Starcraft 2 since I haven't had time to play it...but I really do want to get it and the expansion eventually. I played the original for almost a full year with dorm-mates in college, not to mention my username comes from it XD
I feel bad that I've waited so long :/ |
It's all good Serra, no problem with waiting. It will be worth it though, that much I can say for certain. The expansion is more for campaign content though with new features. Units are being introduced and re-designed as well, but not sure how far they are truly going to take it until release.
Pink: The story is quite interesting, especially with where they are taking it now. And yeah, the Ultralisk's are a bit overpowered, but they have been trying to scale it more to be realistic to some degree is my understanding...looks like they still have a ways to go though. |
I'm mostly interested in the campaign and friendly matches. I don't do the competitive thing...I never really played any RTS games well enough to be amazing.

Husband loves watching Starcraft videos and streams, and has lately gotten back into playing an occasional game or two with one of his friends. I've grown to like Husky as a caster, and I've gotten the hang of figuring out kinda what's going on when I'm watching a Protoss. There's just so many things to pay attention to, though, I don't think I could ever play the game myself.

Alright, I'm bringing this back up since launch is two days away.
They've announced even more details concerning the campaign as well as how mutations, evolution, and Kerrigan's powers. As they've stated, the campaign units will largely be centered around Kerrigan, and when she dies she will revive back at your base (after x time or for x resources, can' t quite remember). Evolution will come through special "Evolution Missions" where you seek out a certain strain of DNA which will allow you to evolve certain units along one of two paths, though this will be a permanent choice. Any thoughts? Anticipation? |
