It was almost morning or so she believed, his long blonde hair looked ratty at the moment though around her neck would still be a plain titanium chain, his eyes looked over to the otherside of the room where her brother was, in the same situation as she was. Soon he closed her eyes, she tried to move her hands but to no avail, they to where bound punishment from when he attempted to fight off the advances of one of their parents friends.
"Brother... Are you awake?" he whisper unsure if she would get an answer, they never knew which one was older, and they didn't even have names they could call each other because they where always taught that they had never deserved such a thing. |
Slowly sitting up the other moved about hearing the chain's rattle some trying to gather up is own thoughts of what was going to happen this day. "I am now. . . .it's hard to sleep when you're cold as you know." he said holding his head some. "I think it's morning. . ." he could smell something like food drift into the small room they lived in but he could be wrong and unsure of what time it really was. "But it will be okay, today maybe different, maybe they will be a little more kind since it is our birthdays. . ." he said, it was something he had kept count on only cause when they where allowed outside he would look at the season it was the end of the summer knowing that fall would start soon. "So we have something to somewhat look forword to. . . " it was not much but it was worth a try to help the other hops up. I am the manry-est of men! |
he looked to him through the darkness, often he wondered why there was no windows in the small cell they called their room "It is very cold." he often wondered why there was no heating, where they hated so much that they wanted them to die. Closing his eyes he sighed biting his lip trying not to make to much noise or he knew the punishments that would follow. He sniffed at the air to see what his brother was talking about and smiled smelling sausages he hugged his stomach as it grumbled "s-sorry f-for being loud." he stuttered scared that their parents where going to hear and hurt him because of it.
"D-do you think they will us to keep a present this year?" it was something that never was allowed before but he thought this was an important birthday even though he didn't count overly well. He didn't ask how the other knew he just took his word for it. Hearing the words he nodded his eyes going wide as his chain hit the floor. "uh-oh..." he knew they where in trouble now and he was panicked. |
He quickly held his breath in hopes no one would be coming it was already hard to make sure things they did was not out of places. He closed his eyes trying to see what was going to happening, he could hear foot steps coming close as a set of key rattled out side thew door. Here it comes and it was going to be scary and it was going to make him fall soon. hearing the key go into the door no sooner did it fly open as women and a man stood in the door way. "My, my it seems they are up my dear husband children who are filthy are now able to move it seem they know what day it is today. So what should we do with them?" she asked holding on to her husbands arm. I am the manry-est of men! |
He brought up his chain hearing the foot step and even cowered moving to be in a small ball as he heard the keys rattling his eyes going to his brother in fear "s-sorry" he whispered to the other knowing that it likely wouldn't be heard but hearing the click and the room door opening he whimpered a little seeing both their parents he wanted to cry but didn't even want to imagine what would happen to him if he did.
The man kissed his wife's cheek smiling sadistically seeing how the two where. "It does seem like they are awake doesn't it..." he moved into the dark damp room "So, do you know what day it is today?" he asked chucking seeing how Xue seemed to be cowering knowing he was likely the one to drop his chain, he dismissed his wife's second question at least for the moment to see if one of them would speak up to his question. |
He looked at his bother shook his head saying it was alright once the door had opened, Taihei held his hand up to shield his eyes from the light that poured into the small room they where kept in darkness so it was rare they got to see the outside light, what was even worse for them both they had pale color eyes by being kept in the darkness. "Since you are asking father, it wouldn't happen to be the day we came into this world. . . " he said as he bowed his head in fear he couldn't have been wrong but was afraid in case he was wrong. The women stood in the door way leaning against the frame as she watched on looking and watching more it was amusing in away and it was rather a sight to see in away. But she was also rather unhappy that her other half dismissed her question to him. I am the manry-est of men! |
He looked to Taihei as he spoke and smiled nodding "You are indeed correct, it was the day we where cursed with you two filthy children." he looked back to his wife and smiled with a little wink showing he was just playing so he needed to dismiss the question for a short while. "As for your question my dear, I believe we should get them bathed, changed and give them the present from us..." he paused for a moment going to Taihei undoing the chain from his collar, before removing the bindings doing the same to Xue.
"Your bath has already been done, hurry up you have half an hour to be at the dinner table in the nice pyjama's we've left for you. with that he moved out of the room kissing his wife's lips heading to get ready for what he had planed. Xue had kept curled during the whole event his eyes had been closed due to the light, his skin like his brother's was pale due to little sunlight. As the parent's left he remained where he was unsure if it was some sort of trap and was didn't want to tempt fate by even moving. |
Taihei blinked some seeing as the chain was removed from him and his bother he moved off the bed to help Xue off his and head off to the bath. Walking out of the small room they walked into the bigger room which was a show room of where they would look like it was there room that they lived in, it had all the things from past birthdays and small parties they had gone to it was nothing more then a mask no one outside of the home knew what they both face and what they both had to deal with. Making his way across the brightly lit room from the open windows he was able to get him and his bother into the bathroom the one they saw only so often when they could come out of there dark hole in the wall. Getting into the bathroom the air was warm from the bath water that was drawn as he moved the other into the warm water them climb in him self. "Turn around so I can wash your back and make sure you look fine for them when we get dress down to the table." he said as he reached over to take the bath sponge and soaked it started to lather it with soap. Feeling his brother's hand he took it without any hassle and moved off his bed being careful not to make a noise. To him it seemed like they where being to nice like they could be pulled back into their dank dark piece of hell that was their cell. "Taihei, why do they hate us?" he asked biting his bottom lip his head turning to look over his right shoulder as if they where being watched. Even now his eyes remained almost closed as he tried to get use to the sunlight. "It's our doll house." it's what he called the room people outside the household seen knowing that soon they would be going to the doll room, what he named their wardrobe as all it was, was to dress like dolls for the façade that was suppose to be their lives.
"I-isn't that water going to be to hot." when they did wash it was usually in ice cold water. but done as he was asked undressing from the ragged clothing he wore allowing his back to be washed. "W-when do they ever get us presents?" he asked he was never one to upset his parents but he was curious on what his brother thought. |
Taihei blinked didn't say much they where nothing but dolls to there mother and father no one knew the ugly truth everyone thinks they are happy family but it was all lie that they followed so they wouldn't get hurt. As he continued to wash the other. "I don't know why they hate us. . . .it could be cause we where born different from everyone else is what could be. . . .but I don't know why they hate us so much." as he started to rise off the other. "Yeah the doll house. . . .the house where we have to dress up for them and look like family. . . " he muttered. "Yeah they made sure the water is warm today it seems. . . .but I am not sure when they will give us anything all we can do just wait and see." was all he could say once he was done he help his bother out of the bath then got in him self after discarding his rags that was call night yime clothing started to wash. Xue said nothing content for the moment nodding at what the other had said, he knew they where dolls hidden away unless they needed to be shown to someone. Thanks to his long black hair and frail features and build he passed as a girl it hadn't been the first time he had been called a girl by friends of the family and there parents had agreed that he was indeed a she which often left him confused even going to a special room to 'entertain' friends but he was given a chocolate bar but often came back crying and withdrawn for days at a time, but never told his brother why.
When moved out of the bath tub he began to dry a little before helping to wash Taihei's back before going back to drying himself, his eyes going to the pyjama's that had been left out for them, as they couldn't read but had been shown a sign that represented them he blinked sighing a little "Why do mine look girly... every year this happens." he whispered continuing to dry himself "D-do they which I-I was a girl or something?" he was confused about himself and his parents and their inner circle where the cause of it. |
Taihei couldn't even understand it him self from time to time he would be held in another part of the house when the took Xue away he would need to tend to the lady guest. When they would meet back is bother was in tears and he would be left clueless as to why and why the other would be so far away from him for days. "I don't know why. . . I have asked they tell me to be quiet. . . " as he finished and got out of the tub to dry off and walk over to the clothing that was laid out. He looked down seeing his was matching top and pants while his sibling had to wear the frilly looking night gown. I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue looked to the frilly peach nightgown he found himself wanting to cry again but he knew it was best if he didn't after all this was meant to be a special occasion so placed on the underwear and slipped on the nightgown. he felt so confused and muddled that he really needed to ask "What am I?" he removed the little clip with his symbol and placed it on an empty peg. his hand going to his brother while the other went to the collar around his neck wondering why these hadn't been removed yet

"Xue whatever they say. . . .you are you. . ." he wasn't allowed to say other wise he would be beaten half to death like the last time he spoke out of line. As he took the hand of the other. "They will never come off. . . ." he said quietly knowing it wouldn't when he did he was beaten when he told them take it off he was beaten. In his whole life he spent more time getting beaten then ever being loved. At times he felt they loved Xue a little more but it could be cause they treated him differently. "B-but I don't know who I am... I-I was born a boy... a-an..." he started sniffling showing he was upset more so as tears began to fall as he continued to walk he was trying to put on the mask but it had already broken for the moment but it was to late to mask by the time they got to the dinning hall, he wondered if they where late as the dinning hall seemed empty for the moment.

Taihei tried to shush him this was something they couldn't talk about openly and if they tried to they would get yelled at once they go to where they needed to be he looked around confused at everything. "Hello?" he called out trying to see why no one was around not even the help. "We didn't take to long did we?" he asked looking to the other. I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue wiped his tears on his sleeve trying to calm himself once more with the help of his brother he quickly gained control knowing that they would both being harmed just because he got upset over something he should just be accepting. It seemed like it was just in time as he seen their parents coming into the dinning room. he shuffled to hide behind Taihei afraid of what they where planning.
Their father looked at them and smiled "Don't they look marvellous my sweet,like real children, you weren't think they where filthy little animals" he laughed a little hugging his wife closer. "Oh seems we have a hider, so they will not want to enjoy the nice breakfast and gift we have for them." he said sitting at the table. Xue didn't move from hiding he bit his lip a little "Mummy, daddy what am I?" he asked his voice showing just how confused he was on the subject he wanted to know why they made him dress like he did and do what they forced him to, he wasn't one to ever ask questions but this one was eating away at him. |
Taihei looked back at Xue then bowed some knowing that something was going to coming flying at them. So he was going to protect Xue from it. "Ummm. . . .it is just a simple question Xue would like answered please!" he said shaking some. She looked on with a scowl across her face as she hid it behind a fan. "My what a way to start a morning. . . .I thought they where children but it seems they want to question everything they are given should we take it all away dear?" she said at the end. Xue whimpered hearing his mother's voice and how angry it was "I-I-I'm sorry I-I don't mean to question I-I'm a-a-a good child." he didn't know if he use the male or female way of referring to himself as he was confused. "P=Please don't take it away from us i-it's nice." he said walking out his head propped down as he knew he had been bad.
Their father hugged his wife close kissing her on the cheek "My, my... you did wake up in a foul mood this morning is it because of the day?" he asked listening as Xue apologised and begged he found it amusing and sweet all at the same time. "What do you think my dear shall we give them a second chance since it is their birthday or do we cancel it like last year?" |
Taihei looked at the other then looked up as much as he could to see his mum and da, but it was but hard so he looked back down to the floor in hope they wouldn't take it away like last year. "I guess we can give them another chance this year, I will let this all pass so come and have a meal on this day of your nasty little lives of being born into this world." she smiled some and she kissed her husband back on his cheek watching the two move to the table. Xue moved to the table as they had been instructed and sat down glad that he didn't cause their birthday to be cancelled like last year. His eyes went to his brother "W-we aren't nasty are we." he shook his head "S-sorry I-I know better p-please don't send me to the toy room." he whimpered shaking a little his head lowering his hand reaching for Taihei's under the table as fell silent.
The father helped his wife to the table bringing out the chair and helping her sit "If you don't ask anymore stupid questions then for today no you will not go in the toy room." he sat himself down next to his wife wondering what had gotten into Xue who normally wouldn't say two words to them |
As the servants came with the meals placed them all down before each person. Taihei couldn't believe the food they would be getting it was rare for them to have such meal but he would enjoy it as much as he could. While holding his bothers hand he said nothing to what his father had said they didn't need any more trouble. "Stupid indeed, well dear shall we tell them what we have planed for them this year?" she said to him as she started to eat the meal that was placed down before her. I am the manry-est of men! |
As much as Xue wanted to touch this rare delight his eyes closed and turned his head away from it. His stomach hurt showing that he was hungry but meat hurt his stomach even more and wouldn't touch it no matter how hungry he got. "M-mummy c-c-can I have some porridge p-please." he whispered he was scared to ask any questions normally more so now as their parents where trying to be nice to them.
"We should my dear but let them enjoy their breakfast." his eyes went to Xue as he asked for something different he was fine with it after all he wanted Xue to watch his figure but it wasn't him who had been asked it was his darling wife and so it would be her decision alone. |
Taihei looked at the other with a worried look but started to eat it was something he needed if he was going to have so something today that may need him to use strength as of them. "Hmmm fine if that is what you want then you can have it." she said taking a bite of her meal. "If that is all you want then you can have it all." waving her hand telling the maid to take the meal away and bring forth what Xue had wanted. Soon the maid returned with bowl and a spoon. "There you go now eat." I am the manry-est of men! |
Not once did Xue let go of his brother's hand afraid at what his question may have caused but he was surprised when he heard his mother reluctantly agreeing to his request. "Thank you mummy you are so kind to me." his voice showing true gratitude as the food was taken away and his breakfast came back Looking at it for a second he looked to his mother again "Mummy is indeed a generous being worthy of being a goddess." he knew better than not to sing her praises considering she was being so nice. Soon he began eating his food quietly not making another sound

"Such a cheeky child you are but I will allow you say what you want since you hardly get your way." she said to Xue pick up her coffee mug to take a sip from it then looked down to the end of the table, then looking back to her other half. Taihei blinked some hearing the person they called mother accept what Xue said with out getting up or being mad, he knew better that is what she wanted a child to tell her how she was wonderful and she was doing right. "I-I'm sorry mummy I-I didn't mean to be cheeky." he said dropping his head his eyes closing as he thought he had gotten into trouble "B-but I do th-think you are spoiling me, b-by allowing me to change my breakfast, you are such a wonderful mummy." he said stroking his mother's ego before falling silent once more to continue eating his breakfast without another word his hand squeezing Taihei's a little for support.
"He is indeed very cheeky, but he is right my dear you are a beautiful goddess in my eyes and a wonderful mother in theirs." he smiled before picking up the newspaper to see what was going on in the world "Isn't that right boys." Xue nodded quickly "There is no better mummy than you in the world." he said gently, his hand squeezing Taihei's a little more |
Taihei nodded some, "Yes the most wonderful mother a child could have. . . ." he said holding on Xue hand looking over to his sibling at times like this he would say something but he knew better but in away at times like this is own mother would baby Xue it was rather odd but never brought it up when they where alone. -- "If you stay good little children like your wonderful father says, you can wear something nice this day that I think you maybe ready for and we can get your little birthday started. . .what do yo both think, hmm?" I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue remained quiet eating his breakfast he wanted their parents love so much so tried to be good as possible but at times it was hard considering he was confused on his own gender. "M-Mummy t-today is it boy or girl clothing." he was scared to ask things normally he got hurt but his mother seemed to have been in a good mood today, but still his hand didn't move from his brother's hand. He didn't want to say anything to the second question he just continued to eat.

Taihei just looked at him then looked to there so called beloved mother watching her movement some as she placed down her napkin he didn't know what was going to happen it scared him some. -- "Girl. . . girl. . . girl!" she yelled throwing her napkin down on the table. "Why is it so hard for you just take what I give you!" she started to yell at Xue. Then looked over to Taihei who looked down said nothing at all. I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue jamp when their mother yell at him tears falling from his eyes as he knew that he had angered her, his hand squeezing Taihei's tightly "I-I'm sorry mummy b-but I have both kinds in my wardrobe I-I asked to so I could make you happy." all he wanted was his mother's happiness in the hopes they would gain a better life. "I-I take all you give me mummy, you are loving and caring. I-I..." he let go of his brother's hand standing up he ran back to their cell and curled on his mat like bed for safety knowing for sure his mother hated him.

Taihei felt his sibling let go and run back to the room. "Xue!" he called out seeing him run back to the room. He looked back his mother who in turn looked at him. "Do you have something you want to add to all of this?" she asked him. He knew better and shook his head and stayed the table to finish his meal. She stood up throwing her napkin to the side of the table she got up taking her fan with her walking down the hall to check on Xue leaving her husband with Taihei. I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue remained where he was curling shaking, the tear fell from his eyes his thumb going into his mouth. He tried to be good but he got confused so needed to ask questions at time to help him understand. His eyes went open as he realized he was wearing some good cloths in the cell he knew he was in trouble and whimpered "I'm sorry, i'm sorry... I'm a good boy" he said over and over again.
The father looked up from his newspaper seeing everything that was happening he sighed "It seems this birthday will be cancelled also." he said taking a sip of coffee "But we shall see what your mother says when she gets back so if you want anything off your chest ask now I may allow it to slid." |
Her heels made soft thud sound as she walked down the hall into the room making her way past the doll room into the small room the two lived in. "You going to make it dirty. . . ." she said as waited by the door, holding the fan up to cover her face as she looked in watching Xue listening to him. -- "Ummm father. . .why. . .do, do you have Xue dress like that?" was all he could ask, he didn't want the birthday to be over he wanted to enjoy the day with his bother then be locked away in the small cell they called a room. Xue's eyes opened wide as she heard the soft tapping knowing the tapping all to well to be his mothers. hearing his mothers words Xue stood up quickly looking down "S-Sorry mummy" he whispered but he didn't make any move towards her "M-mummy what am I?" he asked quieter he knew that he was likely testing her patience. "I-I get confused i-I'm a boy and I-I..." he started tugging at the nightgown "I-I don't know what I am..." he whispered.
~~ The father lowered the paper slightly hearing the question. "Hmm... I am not to sure I should answer that one." he said wondering just how much his son wanted to know. |
"If you want to know so much, your flithy little boy that I want to dress as a girl for my own needs and desires of wanting a little girl I can't have. If you want to be more noted on it, you can be a little sheit or a himher. But to me you will be a girl. . .that is how I want it. Does that answer your stupid question?" she asked. -- "I. . .kinda would like to know. . . .I mean. . . .it's a little odd to me cause he, he is a boy after all. . . " as he placed all his dishes together and held his cup of milk looking at it making sure to not be to much of a bother to his father. I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue nodded to wanting to know, it was so confusing to as he had no idea what he was classed as. "I-I don't mean to be a filthy little boy mummy..." he really felt like it was his fault for being dirty and being male though he didn't understand that it wasn't even his fault that he came out a boy in the first place. "M-mummy, can't you get a little girl like your friends have?" he was talking about adoption he looked down walking towards her slowly "Y-yes mummy I-I'm your little girl." he held his hand out to try and take hers though he was unsure if she would actually take it.
~~ He smiled a little leaning forward "You see your mother and I have tried for other children but since you two she has always had a miscarriage or a still born child." he closed his eyes "Meaning we will never be able to have the one thing she wants most in this life and that is a biological little girl." he opened his eyes and smirked "As you both grew we took note that Xue was slender more sissy than you so I suggested to your mother to make him her little girl. She seemed thrilled and so Xue has been our little girl ever since does it answer your question you pathetic boy?" he growled |
She allowed him to take her hand as she looked down at him. "You understand that you will be a little girl and I will be getting rid of all the of the boy clothing from your wardrobe soon, do you hear me?" she looked at him. -- Taihei looked at his father from across the table his hear sank as he heard that him and his bother where the reason why there mother couldn't have more children. "Couldn't. . . you or mum adopt a little girl?" he asked holding the cup tightly. I am the manry-est of men! |
Xue didn't like the idea of being changed into a little girl but he knew better than to argue with his mother so nodded, smiling that he was allowed to take his mothers hand for the first time in the house and not for keeping up appearances. "I'm mummy's little girl and will wear what mummy wants." he clarified in his own words that he understood what was going on and what was expected of him "So does that mean I answer to her and she?" this was helping his a lit as far as his confusion was concerned.
~~ The father shook his head "What part of biological don't you get you stupid boy." he growled he sighed shaking his head "What do I expect from a mutt like you, the wall would have a better understanding." he huffed going back to reading the paper. |
