It took years for Gabriel to discover his real talent was in healing magic. Once he did, he set out to learn everything he could for himself, taking his education in the matter completely into his own hands. He's been traveling from town to town for nearly five years now.

Mizuki stood there glancing out of the window to peer at a lonely moon in the sky "Even stars shun you my friend" He said in a lonely distant voice. With a small sigh his long pointed ears twitched making some strands of his long white bangs fall into his face. Brushing them aside he moved away from the window.

Silently he crept through the temple he called home. So many times had he walked along the cold unforgiving stone. Walking along the long coridor Mizuki came to the mane hall of the temple where a giant statue of Buhduh sat with his forgiving smile and large belly.

Walking forward Mizuki did as he always did. Lighting some insence he placed them within the burners before lighting a single candle to place infront of him. This is when Mizuki knelt down and began his soft prayer. Head hidden and hunched over the long black cloak he wore covered his true self from the world. There Mizuki sat in silence with nothing but the soft wind blowing through the window for noise.

Gallagher 07-02-2012 11:24 AM

It had been a long day.

Actually, a long week. And that was putting it mildly. In fact, in Gabriel's ever so humble opinion, this had been the worst week in his entire life, and he was never one to exaggerate.

... Not that much, anyway.

His heavy, flaxen mare gave a grunt and a toss of her mane, making the man raise a single brow at her. The crunch of dirt and gravel beneath her and his small cart was familiar and comforting, joining the faint sound of animals and insects in welcoming the night. It wasn't yet too terribly late, but it was certainly long past when he should have settled in for the night, and his horse knew it. "Now, stop making such a fuss," he murmured sweetly to her, watching with restrained delight as her ears moved in the way that he knew meant she was listening. "There's a girl. Just a little more now, we'll get you a good break, let you sleep in, get your little rear lost somewhere, spend hours looking for you in the morning, it'll be brilliant." He nodded, as if that settled the matter, and the horse gave a prompt, but rather disinterested, snort. "But, not before you act like you don't understand me in the least. Come now, you think I buy that? I know you're smarter than-"

His brows shot up as they rounded a bend, a large but far from gleaming temple creeping into view not far off. He hardly even had a chance to take it in before his cart thumped over a large rock, lurching suddenly to one side. The sound of glass clattering together came from behind him, and as the front wheel met the ground again, there was a telling crack of wood. "-That. Did not sound good." A rustle from a mass of bushes a few yards away caught his attention. "... Oh hell."

Gabriel stumbled as he reached the temple doors, catching himself before he could fall flat on his face. He huffed indignantly, a worn and stained sack in one hand, staring down at his own feet with one eyebrow arched. A wide rip in his long, brown robe showed only a small glimpse at a clotting scratch; another, much more subtle tear was at his lower leg. After a moment, he shook his head and shoved the doors open, his lips twitching into a smile. "Hello!" he called, his voice bright. "If there's anyone here that won't kill me, I'd love to know!"

Pinkie 07-02-2012 01:16 PM

Mizuki had heard the heavy and troubled feet walk up his normally quite steps. Standing just in time Mizuki heard the large double doors open and a distressed voice reach out to try and stir the darkness "Hello!" He heard "If there's anyone here that won't kill me, I'd love to know!" At that Mizuki wanted to give a smile if it was in his character to do so.

With a little sigh to himself Mizuki turned around and looked at the man that had entered the normally quite and peaceful temple. Mizuki had lived alone for so many years and hid himself well from all others that rumors from the small town began to surface. When no one bared witness to the monk who kept the temple and who still prayed to the gods long forgotten rumors of 'The ghost guardian of the temple' began to reach his pointed ears. Mizuki when he first heard this he thought of it of as something silly but it kept the children away from the temple and most of the town folk up the road as well so who was he to argue or complain?

So when his large doors opened in a loudly manner Mizuki acted if he was caught off guard a little. He was tempted the moment he heard those foot steps to leave and vanish within the darkness like he had so many times before but this is when the smell of blood reached his nose and his ears caught the distress the young man seemed to have bathed in, he didn't make an attempt to leave.

Staying where he was Mizuki stood. The long black cloak that covered his forum falling and correcting itself to once again cover the long lean muscles and pale skin in darkness. With the hooded cloak on his head covering all that was not meant to be seen Mizuki turned his head to peer at the young male standing, leaned up against the door frame.

With nothing but the tip of his pale nose and lightly colored pink lips showing Mizuki spoke for the first time in many years to the man waiting for what was to come "You wish for solace from your troubles..." Mizuki said, his deep voice rolling off his tongue like falling water from a great fall. Though it seemed that Mizuki had more to say nothing left his lips again as he moved forward on silent bare feet.

Reaching the doors he closed them with a manner of skill. Looking at the young man who now sat there in a not so well off chair Mizuki wondered if the male needed medical attention for the wounds the male no doubt had. Walking a little past the male he stopped a moment before turning his head a little to be heard "If you wish...healing is this way" And with those simple words he began to walk slower then usual to a back room beyond what was seen.

Gallagher 07-02-2012 02:55 PM

After his initial call had been uttered, it didn't take him long to take in the quiet scene before him. More specifically, the man that had answered him. Now, as many people as he had had the pleasure of meeting over the years, none that he could remember had been mysterious, slightly creepy, men hiding away under dark clothes in out of the way, unpopulated temples dedicated to whatever sort of diety had been, apparently, forgotten. Strange. He really had to meet more people, if this was the first isolated stranger he knew.

Granted, it could very well have been Gabriel's current physical state that kept him from recalling anyone. He was hardly even aware that he'd taken one of the chairs for himself, though judging from the pain in his leg, he certainly needed it. All of this movement wasn't good.

He watched the cloaked male as he stepped by, making an effort to keep his vision from blurring. "Well," he called after him, not so much as beginning to move, his voice holding just the slightest of wavers that was most certainly from his condition and not any sort of worry, "as kind of an offer as that is, I'm afraid it won't do very much good unless you happen to have a good antivenom back there. It's a funny story, really! I should tell it to you when I don't feel like vomiting."

Pinkie 07-02-2012 03:33 PM

Mizuki stopped as the male behind him spoke. Anti venom..."Hmm..." Mizuki hummed a little before turning around and peering at the male before him and thought to himself. So either it was a snake but by the looks of the scratch on the males leg it could have been anything from a low poisoness demon to a plant. Sighing lightly Mizuki walked forward swearing to himself that this was the last time he was to do this. If his true identity were to be found...a lot of things would change.

Now Mizuki stood in front of the stranger peering down at the leg before he knelt down on soft knees resting back on them. Reaching out strong pale hands that were tender and kind Mizuki gently took hold of the males leg. Removing the ripped clothe to the side Mizuki peered at the already infested area.

The blood was dark from dirt and the poison that began to flow into the males blood stream. From the looks of the punctures and color of the wound it seems that the male had gotten to close to a snake. Taking a guess about the kind Mizuki did the one thing that he could do to prevent the poison from sinking deeper into the males blood stream. Leaning forward Mizukis pale soft lips landed on the males leg and needing the flesh around the wound Mizuki sucked the poison from the wound.

Turning his head Mizuki spit the dark colored blood onto the floor before turning back and once again sucking to finish the job. When Mizuki pulled back a second time he was greeted with a light crimson trickling down the leg instead of the dark infested color he had first been greeted with. After that Mizuki looked at the still dark tendrils of damaged muscle and veins. It would seem the poison had sunk deeper into the skin then he first thought.

Humming a little to himself Mizuki moved a pale hand and placed it over the top of damaged spot on the makes leg. With light muttered words a soft lavender glow escaped from under his hand to light up for the first time his pale face and light lavender eyes. This was the moment the strand of hair he had pushed back fell forward. Long white silky strands falling to land atop of his own hand.

Finishing with his words the soft glow grew faint until once again his face was hidden in the darkness of his hood. Removing pale fingers he peered at the now rightfully pale leg in his hands. The leg having nothing to show for what happened but the two puncture marks from unforgiving fangs that seemed to cry a light stream of crimson.

Placing the males leg back onto the ground where he had found it Mizuki stood with grace before taking a step back. He had nothing to say for what he had done all that he knew was that it needed to be done so done it was.

Gallagher 07-02-2012 09:05 PM

Watching the odd man's expression was almost as enthralling as watching the way he moved. Almost. As quiet as he'd been so far, Gabriel shouldn't have been surprised that the man took the difficult way of doing things. Keeping track of every subtle sign of thought and evaluation, he couldn't be bothered to put up even the slightest resistance as the limb was held, the fabric shoved aside unceremoniously, and those delicate lips brought a faint tingle of pleasure to break through the pain... Or just more pain. Definitely more pain. A lot more pain.

His brows knit tightly together as the man worked, the telltale light was what broke Gabriel's thoughts, his eyes drifting up to his healer's illuminated features. Even after the wound was mostly eradicated and the cloaked man had stood, Gabe sat in admiration not for his work, but of the short glimpse he'd had of his features. A bright, enthusiastic grin reached his own face as he leaned back, rubbing a slender hand against the side of his treated leg.

"Well," the dark haired man began, "usually I just take care of these things on my own, but it really is more fun with another. And, you're quite enjoyable to watch. Do you make nice with strange, tresspassing men often, or am I an exception?"

Pinkie 07-02-2012 09:19 PM

Mizuki could not help the small smirk that graced his lips as he heard the male speak "You are the first visitor is years....would be a shame if you died" He said simply the temptation to shrug his shoulders barely held back. After a moment or two of standing there looking at the male Mizuki bowed a little the long white stand landing to brush over dark clothe. Correcting his stance Mizuki spoke again "I am the monk that watches these halls" He said simply.

After a moment or two Mizuki thought of weather he should give the male his name or not, but after a moment he thought that to be something of a bad idea "Make your self at home for the night" He stated instead "The hour is late and your body is stiff" He said trying not to smirk again at his own choice of words.

Turning silently Mizuki began to head behind the giant gold stained statue that revealed a large corridor leading to the back part of the temple. Before he disappeared behind the massive piece of art he spoke once more "Rooms to the right" He said his voice fading as he once again disappeared into the shadows of the temple.

Gallagher 07-03-2012 02:26 PM

'Stiff' was certainly an understatement. The man's healing certainly had done the trick, but he knew well from his own experience that his body tended to need some time to adjust. Everywhere that there had been pain was now just tightness, as if every muscle wanted to cramp up violently, but didn't quite have the energy to do so. He only managed to pull himself up to sit straight before the man was gone.

The instant that he was alone again, the room turned cold, nearly silent with the sounds from the evening blocked by all but small windows. The smile fell from Gabriel's face, but when he called after the already departed stranger, his tone was as uplifted as ever. "It's been a pleasure to meet you as well! Oh, what a kind offer, are you sure it's really alright?" He let out a quiet grunt as he pushed himself to his feet. "Such a lovely place here. Seems lonely though," the last statement having fallen to a mumble, Gabriel's tired eyes turned to the doors of the temple. He knew just what he wanted to do, but he wasn't sure he could make the long walk again. Perhaps in the morning.

Running a hand over his face, he turned, heading back to the mentioned room.

Gabriel had hardly slept that evening. It was nothing strange for him. Without a good dose of alcohol to dull his senses, he rarely slept all too well. Sometimes he worried that it showed. Usually, he just reminded himself that he takes care of himself better than many, simply thanks to his work. For now, however, he merely slept, curled up like some forgotten child, more than happy to get as much rest as his body would allow, even if it meant wasting the morning in its entirety.

Pinkie 07-03-2012 05:21 PM

It was early morning and the suns first rays shone through Mizukis window. Long white strands of hair slightly moving from the breeze that came through the window. With a flutter of lashes his lavender eyes blinked open and accepted the new day before him. Yawning slightly to himself Misuki pushed up from his bed and stretched stiff muscles.

Standing Mizuki began his morning rutine. First he dressed in white and lavender robes before covering himself in the black cloak. The only thing now showing are pale hands and light glimpses of a face in the same manner. Next he went and fed the birds, said his prayers to the gods and made breakfest.

Now Mizuki was not one to eat first thing in the morning so the fact that he went there was different to him. As he finished making the meal he began his track out of the door. Leaving his feet walked the halls to a room he least expected to be at. It was the room the male had slept in or rather was told to sleep in the night before. What had compelled him to show up at this door? No less with food for the stranger? Mizuki shook his cloaked head lightly and blamed it on his good nature.

Reaching a pale hand up Mizuki kncoked on the door lightly. With that came no answer. Standing there for a little moment longer Mizuki once again knocked on the door but with a little more force.

Gallagher 07-04-2012 04:56 AM

The first knock did little more than make Gabriel curl up that much more into himself, his brows furrowing to match. He clung to the darkness behind his lids, but when the second attempt at knocking sounded, he knew it was useless. With a groan, he pushed himself up to sit, swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. He took a deep breath before blinking down at the floor, and finally standing the rest of the way.

When his legs didn't immediately give out, he yawned, his feet dragging as he moved over to the single chair in the room, on which his worn brown robe rested. In nothing but his short, drawn up braies, there was little to cover his thin form; even at first glance, it was clear Gabe was a man that had gotten by with much too little food for far too long. The fact that his inky hair was irredeemably messed, sticking out in odd ways on only one side, didn't help his look whatsoever. He was too tired to care. Or, too tired to notice in the first place.

Gabriel grabbed up his robe, already moving to the door as he fumbled to try and find the bottom edge of it. He gave up on his efforts quickly enough, deciding that actually answering his visitor was more important than covering himself beforehand. As soon as the door was opened and forest eyes were blinking up at his host's heavily shadowed face, he resumed his fumbling with the cloth. "G'mornin'. Wha's all this?"

Pinkie 07-04-2012 01:24 PM

Mizuki stood there for a moment looking at the appearance of the male before him before he made any attempt at replying the young man "To heal you need energy...." He said looking at the messy appearance of the male "Energy is food.." He said simply and without asking for permission pushed past the male into the room. Walking over he placed the tray of food on the bedside table. Happy that it was not going to fall he turned and headed for the door again in which the young male still stood.

Walking past the frame of the door silently he paused a moment "Eat...I will gather some..." This is when Mizuki looked at the man up and down almost sizing him up before he spoke again "better attire" He said before continuing down the dimly lit hall.

Mizuki was lost in his own thought. His mind right now was nothing more then a jigsaw puzzle with pieces missing. Usually Mizuki could care less about the riffraffs that decided to use the main part of the temple as a sleeping grounds. Though this one was different and no matter what took place there was something that drew Mizuki in. He was not sure it was the kind aura about him that had tinges of sadness laced through them. Or if it was the fact the male came to the temple hurt... Right there Mizuki shook his head. That couldnt be it! Plently of men have rested in the open area hurt with no assistance... So why this man, why was he so different?

Mizuki couldnt place his pale long finger on it nor could he rationalize why he was helping the male so much. First removing the snake poison then healing, giving a place to rest, feeding him and now getting more clothes for the male to wear? At this thought his eyebrows scrunched and he growled to himself. He was causing to much to happen...the man needed to go. Grabbing the set of clothes he dug out the night before Mizuki left his chambers and headed to the males room. One knock to the door and the clothes were left just outside of it on the floor with Mizuki no where to be seen.

Gallagher 07-04-2012 03:15 PM

Gabriel turned only enough to continue watching the man in his own sleepy haze. He offered small nods in what he hoped were the right places. His ever mysterious host was already out the door again by the time Gabe succeeded in his efforts with his clothing. He blinked, and as the man left his immediate sight, leaned far out of the doorway, the relatively neat portions of his hair flopping into his face. "You really don't... Uh..." His words little more than a mumble, he cleared his throat before calling to the departing man, "Thank you."

Despite the offer of clothing, Gabriel seemed to find his own still adequate, as he slipped his tattered robe on with ease before turning back to the room. Though he was certainly hungry, and honestly thankful that the man had gone through so much effort, he could hardly eat half of the food he was given. The knock at the door was a much needed distraction.

When he was back at the doorway, however, he found he was there alone. With the smallest of sighs, he gathered up the abandoned clothes, offering a soft, and most certainly unheard, murmur of gratitude to the empty hall. Now that he was awake, there was a mountain of things he needed to tend to. He headed back in only long enough to set the clothes on the chair before, tugging his sandals on as well, he left. Left the room, the hall, to leave the temple entirely.

Pinkie 07-04-2012 03:26 PM

Mizuki after leaving the mans room found himself once again infront of the statue doing as he always had that time of the day. Lighting candles all around the dimley lit room. By the time he had finished he heard the foot steps of another apporaching. Bringing the stick to his lips he blew out the flame he used to light every candle in the hall.

Turning he admired his work. Mizuki once a day lit a total of 200 candles for the souls of loved ones past. Each candle was a hard reminder of the burden he had. Turning his head he noticed the male standing there in the same dirty clothes from the day before. Messy hair fell upon shoulders as green eyes gazed towards him.

Mizuki looked at the male before him "Leaving already?" He asked with a little tilt of his head. He could tell from the way the male looked he was at fault for the males departure and Mizuki sighed a little to himself. Walking a little forward he stopped once more before bowing lightly "Forgive my.." Mizuki thought for a moment "Consent absence...its been many a year since I have had company or spoken to another" He said before standing "My name is Mizuki" He said with a nod of his cloaked head.

Gallagher 07-04-2012 04:19 PM

Even before the man's approach, Gabe had stopped to take in the countless candles that he was sure weren't there before. Tired but bright eyes settled onto Mizuki at the first simple question. He absently smoothed out the front of his robe, bringing at least one vague sense of neatness to his ruined appearance, and smiled. "Gabriel Carnet, of Olney. It's a pleasure to meet you properly, especially after all you've done."

He nodded, his gaze shifting a fraction past the man and towards the doors. "And, no, I'm afraid I probably won't be leaving. You see, it seems as though the evening's little... adventure has left my cart, well, more or less immobile. My fault, really, I should have made sure I had a spare wheel in the last town, but I didn't. Besides that, I'm fairly sure my pretty little horse has run off on me by now." He looked back to Mizuki's face, his smile only growing the more he spoke. "Not that that's so much of a worry. Does that every morning, pesky thing. But with the fright she got, and how nice the land looks around here, it'll take some time to find her again, I imagine. No, I have some things I was going to get. Very important personal matter. I had every intention of returning and fully enjoying your absent company, I assure you."

Pinkie 07-04-2012 05:07 PM

Mizuki was in temptation to tilt his head at how many words the male now knowen as Gabriel ranted off. Did he even breath during that? At the news of the mans cart being otherwise incapacitated he felt the need to help once more "Well then...shall we go and fetch your cart?" He said before moving and walking past the male "One moment" He said before vanishing behind the statue once more.

A little while later he returned with his staff in hand. Long and slender a large lavender crystal ball was held in place my strong tongs. Curling down a flowing wing flickered lightly from the light breeze of movement. Mizuki stood there a moment before nodding his head towards the door "Well...shall we?" He asked before heading towards the double doors soon to stand out in the light his shaft sparkeling in the morning raise of warmth.

Gallagher 07-04-2012 06:51 PM

"Sure, sure," he replied as Mizuki disappeared from view. He hummed softly, passing the time by running his fingers through his dark hair, attempting to tame it. By the time the man returned, Gabriel had almost managed to do just that. Almost, but not quite. He eyed the impressive staff with approval as he followed after.

There really was nothing quite like the comfort of early morning. Or, perhaps it was just the fact that he rarely had the chance to enjoy it diluting his view. With a thoughtful hum, Gabriel looked off to one side, leaning as if there was something quite interesting to see, then did the same for the other. After a brief moment he grinned, starting off in the former direction. "Seemed to take ages walking here in the first place, but all things considered, it's probably not so bad. I suppose, if your eyesight is better than mine, you might be able to see the useless thing... somewhere... Maybe not."

Pinkie 07-05-2012 12:56 PM

Mizuki said nothing as they walked up the road looking for the cart the young man had. Looking around Mizuki spotted something tipped over up the road and he only guessed that it was the makes cart that was on its side "Could...that be it?" He asked as they got closer to the cart. Here is when Mizuki noticed that one of the wooden wheels was indeed cracked and broken almost completely in half. Either it was a large rock the male ran over or Gabriel had been riding on a cracked wheel for a while now.

Looking the cart over as they got right up to it Mizuki could tell that it had been used for a very long time. "It...will be something of a challenge to move it back" He stated before looking to Gabriel "I shall be right back" He stated to the male before leaving down the road from the way they came.

A little while later the clip clap of hooves could be heard as Mizuki reached Gabriel on a white mare. Comming to a stop Mizuki got off of the mare and looked to Gabriel then the cart "Lets get it back" Mizuki said before he started hooking the straps and bindings to the horse. "With two it should take less time to move" He said "Then once its back..." Mizuki looked to Gabriel the sun shining, revealing a pale friendly face "I can restore it for you" He said with a nod of his head.

Gallagher 07-05-2012 01:52 PM

Truth be told, Gabriel wasn't exactly all that pleased when they found the toppled cart. "That's it alright." He knew better than anyone, of course. It had been years now that he'd been practically living out of the thing. Even then, it had been used when he'd acquired it, a gift from one of the members of his village. Gift meaning a 'lower' price and nothing more. He turned enough to watch Mizuki head back down the road before his attention returned to the battered thing.

He stepped around to get a better look at the damage to his belongings, and was not disappointed in his worries. It had been difficult to tell in the dark of night, but now it was much more obvious. Even with the large, thick cloth that was supposed to propect his things from the elements and, hopefully, thieves, it had done little to keep them from toppling out. Small shards and large pieces of glass alike had scattered in the grass, some glistening in the morning sun almost like dew. That, however, was only a fraction of it. Besides what were once bottles, several jars were, if not broken or cracked, had their contents spilled, leaving an overall unpleasant smell and even uglier messes of goo here and there on the ground. "So much for recovering by year's end," he mumbled to himself, looking back down the road as Mizuki returned.

The one thing he took the time to grab before moving back onto the road was a dark wooden box, its lid thankfully still secure. Gabriel watched the man work with the horse, his gaze shifting to the comforting face at the bit of reassurance. He grinned. "Brilliant. There's nothing I enjoy more first thing in the morning than hauling wood. Especially with such good company. What could go wrong?" He shook his head at himself and looked around to find somewhere safe to set the box before he returned to Mizuki. "So, where do you want me?"

Pinkie 07-05-2012 02:09 PM

Mizuki watched out of the corner of his eye as Gabriel went about grabbing something. Though he paid no attention to what it was and went about his work. The moment Gabreil spoke though Mizuki shook his head "Its alright just one more strap here..." He said tieing one off "We should be okay to move it now" Mizuki said looking up to Gabriel "I need you to first help me right this then guide Bell as I turn the wheel" He spoke.

Moving to the side of the now hooked up cart Mizuki adjusted his staff on his back before he indicated a space for Gabriel to go "So lift and push with your knees...not your back" He said to the male before bending in a crouch and getting his pail hands under the side of the cart ready to lift it.

Gallagher 07-05-2012 02:35 PM

"Right. Righting, guiding, sounds like a workable plan to me." As he took the indicated place, he halfheartedly rolled his eyes at the man's instructions. "Come now. I might be a really terrible driver, but I can lift things."

Except he couldn't. Not that Gabriel didn't give it his best shot, but when they'd managed to right the cart a few minutes later, he without a doubt had not done an even half of the work. The simple fact was that Gabriel was not a man fit for such work. Judging by his prompt muttered ranting to himself as he went about collecting what hadn't already found its way back into the cart, he wasn't all that pleased about the fact, either.

Pinkie 07-07-2012 04:20 PM

Mizuki had ended up doing most of the work in lifting and righting the cart but he didnt mind in the slightest. Now that the cart was upright they could head back to the temple with it. "Well...lets get the cart back first" He said "Then you may go find your horse and take Bell with you" He stated before speaking past him to Bell "Home girl" As soon as he spoke to her the horse began to move "Hey now...slowly please" He stated once more and gave a smile as the horse slowly pulled the cart with his help of turning the wheel. It was up to Gabriel if they landed in the ditch again or not "Well...go steer" Mizuki said to the man who still stood there in a haze thinking about his horse.

Gabe ran a hand back through his hair, offering a slight nod at the man's words. Still, he was slow to comply, his under rested mind having more difficulty than usual to break from its line of thought. Perhaps he'd have a bit more rest later, when at least a few of his worries were eased. Quickly, he double checked that he hadn't forgotten his box before taking his place with the horse.

Despite the obvious fact that his cart had been toppled, abandoned, and otherwise ruined, he really didn't have any difficulty in steering the white mare. If anything, she seemed more cooperative than his own mare usually was, and he had been working with her for years by then. He sighed, unaware of his own display of frustration. Maybe he wasn't, or couldn't, take care of her as well as she wanted. It certainly would explain why she always ran off. "Good treats are so damn expensive, though."

Mizuki had not really been paying any mind to what was happening besides his job of turning the wheel to move the cart smoothly but when the males words reached his hidden pointed ears he smiled a little "Shes probably a free soul...I was lucky to have bell since her birth" He spoke out of no where. He knew what Gabriels thoughts were the moment he began to guide the mare. "Let her roam for a day and I promise you by night fall she will be at the door waiting for you to answer" Mizuki said.

After those words left his mouth they reached the side of the temple. When had they gotten so close to it? Shrugging to himself a little Mizuki nodded to the side where a dirt path laid "Take it that way..." He said "To the back so it can be fixed" He said with a nod of his head.

Gabriel almost, almost wanted to inform the man that he'd done that very thing countless times, and still had to go looking for her in the end. But instead, he kept his mouth shut for a change, taking care not to do anything that might irritate Bell.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew his worries were ridiculous.

It took but a few seconds for his gaze to settle on the path Mizuki had indicated and nudge them back that way. "You know," he spoke up, turning his head slightly as if to glance back at the man without actually doing so, "as it is, you've already done far too much for me. I don't suppose there's any way I could repay the favor?"

Mizuki was tempted to laugh as soon as they got the cart back to where he had wanted it. Gabriels offer was something of the interesting factor though Mizuki knew for a fact that it was something he could not do so instead he got a little idea stuck in his head. Judging from the way the sun rested in the sky it was nearing midday and there was still alot of work to do around the temple since this little mishap had all his time this morning.

Looking to Gabriel he nodded his head a little "There is....one thing" Mizuki said slightly before walking past the male and leaving, vanishing within the shadows of the stone walls of the temple before returning with a bucket of water and a mop "There is alot of floors to be washed" He said before leaving again to gather what was needed to fix the males cart.

For one much too short moment, Gabriel's interest was especially captured by the man, a raised eyebrow and slight smile displaying as much. As soon as Mizuki returned, however, the expression fell flat. Cleaning was definitely not what Gabe had in mind. Not even close. He heaved a sigh as he took the items, but by the time he looked up, the man was already heading off again. "You know, the floors looked fine when I saw them!" he called. "Have you considered not getting the chores done for a day? I'm fairly certain that the world wouldn't end!"

A little while later Mizuki returned with a large bag filled with different tools and sighing a little to himself Mizuki went to work. He would have to replace the wheel all together. As he began to work Mizuki looked up and noticed that Gabriel still had not moved from his place "Floors...wash" Was all he said before he continued his work ignorning the males protests behind him.

As the day continued on so did he. The cart was finished and ready to go a couple hours later but there was more work to be done around the temple. Replacing candles, scraping wax, and last but not least gardening which Mizuki waited to do. Now that the sun in the sky was setteling for the night a few stars began to dot a dark blanket. It was no longer day and nor was it night but the time between both; dusk.

Heading out to the main garden Mizuki looked around and sighed a moment before removing his hood and cracking his neck. Long pointed ears twitched to little sounds before they were once again covered by the black clothe. Kneeling down he began to pull the weeds from the veggies.

When Mizuki didn't budge from his stance, and Gabriel had gotten a fair amount of complaining out of his system, he went right to work. It had been some time since he'd done any sort of household chores, but memory held strong, and he had little trouble getting the floors washed. The same went for whatever other little things he could help with.

With all of the work through the day, the two didn't really have the chance to chat, beyond Gabriel's scattered attempts, which were mostly shouted from another room entirely.

With twilight rapidly drawing the day to a close, the unlucky traveler had yet to attend to those personal matters he'd mentioned at the very start of the day. Furthermore, his own mare had yet to reappear, as Mizuki had suggested she would. Gabe was starting to wonder if he'd find her at all.

Hoping that he might yet find time to get his own work done, he'd gone to retrieve the single wooden box from his repaired cart, along with a couple other small supplies, all balanced on top of it and held under his arm. He went looking for Mizuki, reaching the garden just as the man had finished replacing his hood. For a moment, Gabriel wondered if he wanted to disturb him and risk losing what little time there was before dark. He cleared his throat, deciding it better to ask than be seen as the useless, constantly complaining sort of guest. "Hello again, my friend. It seems that I may have run out of things to do... Or rather, do for you, and considering how much of your day has been spent on assisting me so far, it only seemed right to spend much of mine assisting you. Eye for an eye, or some nonsense like that. But, anyway. Uh..." He shifted his weight to one side. "Was there anything else...?"

Mizuki took a moment before he stood and dusting his hands off shook his head "No that is all" He spoke quietly "If there is anything you need please feel free..." He said motioning towards the temple "What mine is yours until you leave" After a moment he spoke up again "With one exception" He stated. This is when he raised his head his whole face looking directly at Gabriel "My chambers...is off limits" He said in a very serious tone. There was alot of items in that room that would give away his identity and that was one thing he did not need to do. "But apart from that...free range" He said once again to a calm face like nothing was said.

Mizuki then nodded his head. The hour was getting late and there was still so many things to do "Have a good rest Master Gabriel" He said before taking what weeds there was and leaving the male to stand there in the darkness of the approaching night.

Desposing of the weeds within the compost Mizuki went and headed for the stable. Entering he smiled as a knae reached his ears "Hello to you to" He said bowing his head before reaching a hand out and petting the white mare on her head. "We have a new friend to find" He said slightly before getting up and resting on her back. With a soft click Bell was out the stable and the hunt was on.
