So you've once found your way into the depths of Silhouettes Anonymous where you can check out but you can never leave. And to those that weren't here last time I warmly shake you by the hand. I am your host Ashy and I will be the one to guide you through the strenuous process of judging your beautiful arts and crafts. If you don't know what this contest is about my beautiful assistant will give you a brief rundown. |

Silhouettes Anonymous is a place for us all to share in our love for (-le gasp!-) Silhouettes. ...Ok, ok, not really >.> Silhouettes Anonymous is our very own Trisphee Silhouette Competition! Our lovely (-cough choke splutter-) host Ashy will post five different silhouettes of shapes. It's your job to draw what you think the object(s) casting the silhouette might look like. You can't go outside the silhouette, and your image must fill the whole outline. I recommend using MS Paint or another similar program; the drawings don't need to be high quality, but I do need to be able to tell what they are. Oh. Wait. ...Prizes. Can't forget about those, of course. Winners - 30 Rations and 15 Waters Runners Up - 15 Rations and 5 Waters Judges Choice(Ashy and Espy) - One full event set Judges Choice(Ashy) - 1 Water Set Judges Choice(Espy) - One Ration set Honourable Mentions - 10 Rations and 6 Waters There will be a winner and a runner up for each shape; more prizes may be added depending on participation. Everyone that enters for at least one shape will get 5 Rations and 3 Waters. All entries must be PM'd to Ashy. You may only enter once for each image; any posts from mules will be disqualified. Please make sure you are happy with your entry as you will not be able to change it once entered. Keep your eyes peeled for word on the end date of the contest, it will be when the event is over. Thank you Espy. *dodges the mic* Here are some examples I prepared earlier. See how it's a diamond? Good. See this would be a bad entry, because there's no way that that could be Scar from that silhouette. These will be the five you will be filling in, you don't have to submit an entry for all of them but it will improve your chances of winning fivefold. Though some of the images are quite obvious, thinking out of the box will get your entry more points. I made four out of five..
Realized my fifth one wouldn't count because it wasn't completely covered. I dunno if the four I submitted will qualify, but I still had fun thinking about what they could be and drawing them regardless. XD |

"Late at night" is a concept nearly lost to me now. The idea of there being hours where one should not be awake is now utterly foriegn.

So wait you have to make it a design that covers the whole space like the diamond...and you can't have a design that part of it is the "white space"?

What kind of white space are we talking about? Like...the image goes to the outline but is still smaller than it in some places?

I have one design that covers most of it and touches but not going outside the lines and yet has equal white space... I can't really describe it more cuz it'll give it away....^_^;

if you can rationalise what the white space is it counts

I think the idea is to consider is as a shadow. If you held the object up against a wall, what's the shape of the shadow it would make?

And now there are three entrants, people who are putting it off should enter soon or all the good prizes will be gone :o
