Skooma's new, yo >:U

Since my old avatar site got a little blah, I've decided to do a little shopping this week and check out a variety of sites.

So, yeah. Here I are! I'm furrently...furrently...wow, I'm tired. I'm currently a freshman in college, English major and digital art minor. I want to focus on creative writing ^^

That said, I enjoy writing, roleplaying, playing Skyrim and Pokemon, and just chatting online. Chatplay is where it's at, yo >B)

So...Yeah, I dunno. I'm a little weird, enjoy random conversations. Always open for random messages and Pokemon battles :D

SkoomaCat 02-11-2012 02:11 AM

Also, I have no idea what the heck I'm doing, so if anyone wants to take me under their wing and show me how things work, that's cool ^^;

Renata 02-11-2012 02:23 AM

Heya there. Welcome to Tris. Theres plenty of places that love people to come and talk in them. Your welcome to post wherever I do. I hope you enjoy it here if you need anything you can always send me a pm.

Hey, welcome to Trisphee.

I can also answer any questions that you might have, though Ren's probably already got that down.

Welcome to tris!! C:

Quiet Man Cometh 02-11-2012 03:02 AM

There's a Skyrim thread in the games forum if you care to weigh in. ;). I'm an Elder Scrolls nut, though haven't been playing Skyrim all that much lately.

Hello! I'm Quiet, been here a couple months shy of a year. There is a role-playing forum, and a writing forum, and a few other english majors/creative writers around here.

Funkduder 02-12-2012 02:04 PM

Isn't a Skooma a type of drink in skyrim?

Reyoki 02-12-2012 09:32 PM

Yep, it's refined moon sugar. I guess it could be compared to cane syrup... or caramel.

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 12:52 AM

If caramel got you fuggin high > > XD

And wow, this place is active! Thanks for all the welcomes! ^^

Reyoki 02-14-2012 12:53 AM

It gives you a sugar high in large enough amounts! XD

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 01:00 AM

I guess that's true XD
Sort of happy to say I haven't experienced that, but kind of relieved too > >

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 01:04 AM

crap, accidental repost > < sorry

Ivan Braginski 02-14-2012 01:13 AM

Herro, I'm new here too, and I was referred by Skooma there, how can I get eyes for myself? and a mouth?

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 01:36 AM

You stalker. Y U No make your own thread?

And looks like you got it figured.

Let me know if you figure out how to view subscribed threads > <

Ivan Braginski 02-14-2012 01:38 AM

Right right, I shall do that -goes to make a new thread-

Or...maybe I could stay here?? >3> pwease?

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 01:43 AM

Fiiiiine, you can has stay here.

And I figured out subscriptions.

Because I'm brilliant. o 3o

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 01:49 AM

Sugar doesn't make you high, it puts you into a coma... (eats way too much of the stuff).

I haven't made a khajit in Skyrim yet. I have in other games though. I like the beast races. :D. Playing a Nord right now, and yes, Skooma is (technically) Elder Scrolls contraband. ;)

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 01:54 AM

I tend to stick with the Khajiit, even though a Dark Elf would be more fitting for the way I play. I just like Khajiit. My first character ever was one, and so I just kinda keep making them, haha.

Ivan Braginski 02-14-2012 02:06 AM

I think I always made a nord, but then i never played Oblivion that much because it made my computer cry tears of blood. ;_;

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 02:13 AM

Eww. I haven't played Oblivion either. I started with my khajit in Daggerfall (also my first ever character) and attempted to re-create that character when Morrowind came out. I tried again with Skyrmim but they didn't have the style I was hoping for. Because of the setting I wanted to try making something more furry, kinda like the way Ri'Saad looks, but it didn't work. :(. So, nord for me. Cold resistance seemed like a good plan. :). In morrowind I also have a second Khajit (since my first is high level now), a nord, Dunmner, and bosmer that I never play. Oh, and an argonian too. I mostly only play the beast characters. I made the dunmer solely to see what difference the game had if I played as male.

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 02:17 AM

I started with Oblivion, then played Morrowind and then Skyrim. I haven't ever played Daggerfall. And yes, Ivan's computer cried many tears XD

And yeah, I wasn't totally pleased with the way the Khajiit look in Skyrim. They seemed more feral in Oblivion and more like housecats in Skyrim.

I really want a game in Elyswir.

Ivan Braginski 02-14-2012 02:19 AM

lol house cat Khajiits. Keyboard Khajiit? That would be the most random thing if it was to ever actually happen.

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 02:23 AM

I think the keyboard would die if a Khajiit lay on it . . . .___.

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 02:40 AM

That would be cool. A game in Elswyr that is. Would be different since it's largely desert. Maybe an expansion of some kind. I really liked the Bloodmoon expansion to Morrowind with the nord island whose name I can't spell.

I've never actually finished any Elder Scrolls game. Daggerfall had a glitch in our copy and we couldn't, (not that it stopped us playing), and I'm still playing around in Morrowind. I'm farthest along the mainline quest in Skyrim, but I have too much fun just mucking around.

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 02:43 AM

*cough*skyrimthread*cough*

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 02:44 AM

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I know the name, I mean. I haven't gotten that far in Morrowind DX
I really didn't play that much of it. School started a while after I got it and then I just sort of never touched it again . . .

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 02:59 AM

Ah. I was playing it in College. Not good for studying. The game still randomly shuts down on me, but I assume that's one of Bethesda's many glitches that comes in all the games and just remember to save often.

I like it, but the environment does get a little dreary after a while, and being called "outlander" all the time does get a little tedious, even if you are another dark elf. I like the environment in Skyrim. I'm still going to make a khajit at some point but I do wish that there were more fur options. The features can be tweaked sure, but there is less character it seems to me. Khajhit in Morrowind don't get hair but they can have different ears, facial patterns, and sometimes earrings or fur tufts, etc. They do look fairly house-catish though. The Daggerfall ones looked more like people with ears, tails, and claws.

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 03:30 AM

I just googled Daggerfall Khajiits, and I see what you mean. And it does seem that in other games the Khajiit had more options for customization. I still liek 'em though XP

I'm playing it in college right now XD
And talking on here.
While I should be writing an essay.

Some things never change > >

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 03:34 AM

No, no they do not. I find my brain works best at 2 am (probably because I forced it to), but then, I was an english literature major and I can write english papers without too much effort most of the time. It was the other stuff that tripped me up on occasion. Tip: do not write an exam with a stomache ache, especailly when said stomach ache prevented one from studying for said exam.

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 03:38 AM

Awww, that sounds like it sucks D:

And recently I've found that 2AM is very productive for my creative writing. I churned out a few paragraphs last night before passing out and going to bed. Though I try to get myself into bed before 1, because if I stay up too late I start to get a little crazy and hallucinate sometimes XD

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 03:41 AM

Yeah. I would go to bed around 2am or so, get up for Swedish class, then come back to my room and crash for another 2 hours until my next class. I lived on Campus but being senior I got to be in the shared apparments rather than dorms. A much shorter walk to class. ;)

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 03:44 AM

Ah, cool. The campus I'm on right now doesn't really have any apartments... I'm just a freshman and in the regular dorms, and they're pretty ghetto. Next year some of my friends and I are transferring to a bigger university and we're going to try to get a house or apartment or something off campus. None of us are very fond of all the random noise caused by our dorm neighbors at all the ungodly hours of the night. We're sort of a quiet bunch.

That's cool you took Swedish. I'm trying to learn German. It's not going so great DX

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 03:51 AM

Ah. We had a guy above us who would practice Rock Band drums like mad. Took a bit to figure out what he was doing. He kept the music off so we let him keep at it except for the odd time it was late or we had studying to do. Smacking the cieling with a broom handle worked well. :)

More annoying was the person with the alarm in the next quad over who let it ring non-stop. Ick.

Yeah, I moved from a college of 250 people where I was living at home, to a University of 50 000. That was a bit of a jump.

SkoomaCat 02-14-2012 03:54 AM

Yeah, I have one of those alarm clock people. And my window is right above where all the smokers go hang out and shout and yell at each other.

The college we're at now has 5,000, but we're going to be moving to a big one of around 50,000. 5,000 might not seem like much to some, but it's over 5 times bigger than my hometown XD

I really like the small community and the town of my current college, but they don't offer many classes here because it's so little, and I feel that the price of room and board is a little ridiculous.

Quiet Man Cometh 02-14-2012 03:58 AM

I can understand that. My college was in a rural area, the town was 17k people big. They had to stop cutting classes when there weren't enough people because enrollment was so bad one year that if they did, students wouldn't be able to graduate. My average class size was about 6. Bigger classes were the ones teleconferences to other campuses. At least on that end we had a high tech set up.
