Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE, omg...

So many browser choices...so which do you use?

Personally I use both Safari and Chrome as I love how fast and useable both are. :'3

And using both also helps me keep organized between stuffs I do. So Safari's usually for real life, hockey/sports stuff and Chrome for online stuff. :3

How about you?! :')

Yokuutsu 02-02-2012 12:40 AM

Chrome

Facebook kills the speed and so does Youtube. Surprise!

But otherwise it's fast and (usually) crashes less than Firefox EVEN if Chrome is not updated. Also, one tab on Chrome may crash while Firefox in it's entirety will crash.

Firefox is my second choice.

Tiva 02-02-2012 11:36 AM

Safari! Because I use a Mac!

Dallas 02-02-2012 09:45 PM

Chrome, is always my first choice. Unless I have to use something else, it is Firefox.

Cyanide Lollipop 02-06-2012 11:42 AM

Firefox, I love it. I was having problems with it crashing for a while but that seems to have stopped with newer versions. When I was having problems I used Chrome which is a great browser, but I still prefer Firefox.

Serra Britt 02-06-2012 02:20 PM

I use Chrome mostly with IE as a backup. Also mostly because I have far too many bookmarks on IE that I don't want to transfer.

Demonskid 02-07-2012 10:48 AM

I use Firefox and Opera >.> Opera works best with my clicky pets... and Firefox is easy for me to use =w=

Avox 02-07-2012 08:18 PM

I use Chrome at home and Firefox at school. XD

Does anyone actually use IE anymore? O.o

Echo-chan713 02-07-2012 10:33 PM

I used to use IE but then it got jacked up from the desktop doctor and it kicks me off the internet by saying that I'm not an administrator so I would have to log out then log back in as an admin (since my account is the only one on my computer) then it still kicks me out of IE by saying the same thing.

So now i use Chrome and I have no problems with it XD

Espy 02-07-2012 10:42 PM

I use Chrome for school stuff and then Opera for...non-school stuff, because of its handy little Hide function that comes into play whenever my mom wanders too close to my bedroom door.

FF is a pain in the ass because of its relatively pathetic speed. I use IE for almost only one thing, and only because the program only works on IE.

Alpha 02-08-2012 02:55 PM

I personally use Safari for most of my browsing.

My second choice would be Firefox.

Yokuutsu 02-08-2012 09:18 PM

I hate safari. On the university's computers...it's SO SLOW! D:

Echo-chan713 02-08-2012 10:14 PM

My school computers use IE, it sucks and it's so confusing XP

Yokuutsu 02-09-2012 12:33 AM

Well, safari is mostly on just the macs.

Firefox on the PCs...though Idk if that's all of them or not.

Used to, they only had IE on PCs...I HATE IE. Slow and a safety hazard.

Straywolf 02-09-2012 01:05 AM

I mostly use Chrome for anything. If there's something I can't access, or if Chrome just dies on me (it rarely happens though), I'll use Firefox.

I never really liked IE...

Quiet Man Cometh 02-09-2012 03:59 AM

I use IE 9, and Firefox. I find IE 9 actually faster for most things, but my school site wouldn't open with IE so I picked up Firefox and it works well enough. If I hit a troublesome website with one, I switch to the other and it seems to help, though the majority of the time it's IE.

I'm using safari now and it's not bad, but yet again I'm on my iPad so I need to use safari. My school had one Mac and I hated it because you couldn't really do anything because there was no volume control as well as most kids are use to pcs so the navigation through the page was hard and the Internet ended up being so slow

hyjin 02-11-2012 06:42 PM

Firefox

I dont trust chrome because of it is made by google... and it is pretty much a back door malware... they spy on what you do...

pachi 02-12-2012 11:43 PM

My default is Camino, secondary is Firefox.

Opera started being stupid so I swapped that out for Seamonkey.

I used to have four browsers open at once but now I'm averaging two.

kyza 02-13-2012 04:18 PM

my school gives all the kids labtops to take home an they have firefox and safari

Lucky my high school is brand new and still have desktops and they don't trust kids with laptops to take home.

Yokuutsu 02-14-2012 07:11 PM

@Echo
I wouldn't trust kids with laptops neither. I see (and know) what they do to computers.

I used to do it too.

Echo-chan713 02-16-2012 05:29 PM

What, put porn in it?

Rinni 02-16-2012 07:06 PM

I'm mostly a Firefox user, but I sometimes play in Chrome. :3

Kiddiss 02-18-2012 03:43 PM

I use Firefox on my notebook, but since I do 95% of my internet stuff in my DroidX, I use whatever its default browser is. It's not too bad- I get something like eight or ten windows at a time, and it only crashes during peak hours (during which, thankfully, I am usually asleep).
I absolutely loathe IE. It not only let viruses happily skip past Norton, but in the early 2000s, I used to have to unplug my stupid computer because I couldn't close pop-ups as fast as they were popping up! Ugh- the "bad old days".

AgentKaz 02-18-2012 11:20 PM

Firefox! I use Chrome for my tumblr rp blog, but I don't really like its interface very much. My Firefox is customized to hell and back and it is perfect.

Funkduder 02-27-2012 12:15 PM

Firefox has always kept me organized. It also saves my session when I close the browser.

I had a laptop to use during school and at home. :3
And now that I think back on it, I don't think it's a bad idea...but they should disable the internet on there and not allow the students to be able to download or install any programs/games. This way it's strictly for work and work only.

Serena Yuy 02-28-2012 03:29 AM

When I was in high school, we had laptops you could take out to use for the block while in the library. I don't know what my school does now since I've been gone since 2006.

I bought myself a netbook last March. Like it, going to get a laptop sometime before I start classes in August. As for what os and browser I use. I use Win 7 and I like using Chrome for the internet ^^

Kasolyna 03-04-2012 01:48 AM

I use a mix of Chrome and Firefox, depending on what I'm using it for.

Echo-chan713 03-06-2012 03:30 PM

My work uses ie, it's so freaking slow and my home uses chrome

Nods, i use Firefox @ home and for my own stuff @ work, work stuff via IE (no choice) & trys to avoid the Goolgle demon as much as possible

Deadajes 03-24-2012 09:47 PM

I personally love Safari. And I use firefox as a backup, even if it pisses me off. It's still the better option. Google Chrome has a lot of instillation/compatibility issues, Internet explorer is... internet explorer... And Opera looks nice, but there's nothing spectacular about it.

XAllurcore 03-27-2012 08:17 PM

Chrome for me. :)
I have Firefox as a back up though.
IE is too slow and crashes alot for me to use, lol.
Others I don't like or havent't used. ;3

momo the peachy 03-28-2012 06:00 AM

I prefer chrome, because it's a heck of a lot faster than the others. I have used Firefox before but didn't like it. AND I.E. is just so slow, it's not even worth using. I know of another one. It's called Palemoon, and it's like firefox. It can be fast if you know how to set it up right. But it comes up as a virus, or spyware. My AVG free doesn't like it, that's all I know. I removed it, just to be on the safe side. I'm not sure if it is, just if you use it, be careful.

Zach 03-28-2012 06:37 PM

I use firefox most the time sometimes chrome because it loads faster then fire fox most the time it seems like, and when I am vending on gaia I use pale moon.

Lollipop 03-29-2012 01:33 AM

I use Chrome most of the time. I used to also use Safari to log into a site on two accounts at once, but then I figured out that I can just open an incognito Chrome window XD.

littl3chocobo 03-29-2012 05:58 AM

firefox, i have a bad habit of eaten posts through all sorts of means XD better to have a clickable back-up, two of my friends says chrome cannot do that

Alpha 03-29-2012 04:12 PM

I mainly use safari, but use Opera for when I need an extra browser to run things off of, and then Firefox for when I need three.

Adagio 03-30-2012 02:42 AM

Iuse chrome now ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
firefox and IE doesn't seem as fast at it yet, chrome tends to crash on me some more times though Q // Q but i think it being faster is much better c:
