This is a tv show based on the zombie apocalypse.

Personally, I love this show. I'm impressed by the realistic makeup and visuals, and the acting is alright. I was kind of disappointed that the search for Sophia dragged out for as long as it did in the second season though.

Any thoughts/opinions on this show? Favorite/least favorite characters? Where would you go, what would you do, and how would you prepare if a zombie apocalypse happens? Are you a zombie? Because I am ;P

My favorite character is Daryl and I'm starting to like Maggie but she hasn't really done anything cool yet. xD I absolutely haaaate Shane though. :I I just feel like the group would be better off without him since he's just a loose canon ready to explode.

I wasn't expecting what happened at the end of the mid-season finale of season 2. xD; I know it kind of sucked that they dragged that Sophia search on soooo long but I was just so shocked by it that I had to watch it again. O:

Love the show, but unfortunately haven't been watching season 2. Been busy so haven't been keeping up with it.

No real favorite character, just the entire plot is interesting.

When compared to the book, they killed of the characters I wanted to keep and kept the ones I wanted to throw away, the biggest example is Shane.
He makes me angry, and annoyed, and creeps me out.
Almost every female in the series gets on my nerves too. Andrea and Lori in particular, even Maggie with how she treated Glen.

Yeah I reeeally don't like Shane. :/

Looooooooovvvve this show! :D My bf got me into it because he has cable and I hardly watch TV, but we watch this every time it comes on. :D

So happy when this came out. Finally a tv series about zombies.

I tried watching it. I love zombie flicks and shows. I wasn't quite ready for how sad it is, though. I cried like a baby then couldn't watch anymore. :c

Yeah I'm not too happy with how Maggie treats Glen either :c Poor guy..

Also Shane creeps me out too.

Well I got drunk one night and watched all of season one. I fear zombies so I guess the only reason I agreed to watch was because I was drunk xD Anyways my friends fell asleep on me. >=| JUST. FAN.TAS.TIC.

Anywho I ended up enjoying it and not permanently scarred like I feared I would! 8D Season one wasn't so bad. Maybe I'll watch season 2 sometime. But meh I still have Stargate to catch up with. I got the Seasons for Atlantis and SGU for the Black Friday sales. Woot!

I really do not care for Shane, and in fact would not feel bad if he died.

The show feels like a bit of a soap opera + zombies to me, but I still like it - I like that they didn't just go with "ZOMBIE KILL KILL SHOOTING BLOOD GORE ACTION SEX" concepts that are often approached in this field. The characters are actually real as opposed to zombie bait/gunpeople.

I love the series. I didn't like how season 2 had the group stay in the ranch for so long. Season 1 was great though :3

Daryl's my favorite character.

i like Daryl. I just started watching it with my friend like a week ago and we're both hooked on it. It really is fun to watch and it really pulls you in

I like the show a lot but my huge beef is this:
It’s the zombie apocalypse. Youd think by now people would have learned to use the BLOODY buddy system.

the second season seemed a bit slow for a while but whoo did it catch up wont say anything so i dont spoil you know

I must say i LOVE this series and i can not wait until it comes back on with season 3! Just love it so much. Me and my boyfriend make it a huge deal every sunday night on AMC.

I've seen season one, but have fallen behind in that I missed season two completely. Need to catch up and will be playing catch up with season three as well.

you should get on that alpha i beleive it is gonna be coming out around june or august

well, august would help since I will be on a bit of a hiatus until then.

No, not poor. Just training that requires me to relinquish most of my contact to the outside world except for mail and one phone call a week.

One of my favorite TV shows. I personally felt Shane Walsh was a strong character in the show, who hopefully is replaced by someone equally talented. I'm digging the premise for the next season, staying at the farm house was getting a bit too familiar.

I honestly didn't like Sophia's mom. I think she is a weak chara at best and just kinda there as filler.

yes you should!!! it was really good... though the second season you feel like it is more of an Apocalypse then a zombie apocalypse

LUCKY! i don't much care for his character but to met him should have been fun, to hear his side of the story!

I love the zombie apocalypse as much as anyone, but the show isn't about that. Yes that is the setting, but the show is much more about human nature.

Tarrek : That is 100 % True, I can't tell you how many times I talked with people who watched the first season and was like... it isn't about zombie's it isn't enough action. I can't tell you how many times I told people it is about the humans and how they change when the world has gone to sh*t. It is a dialog heavy show.

We were suppose to have all the stars at the con but they bailed out at the last minute because they were doing a shooting for season 3

I know that sophia, amy, and dale was supposed to be at a convention an hour or two away it was too late to do anything about it.

Season 3 looks like it is going to be good. I'm excited to see what Merle is going to do. I've read quite a bit of the comic, and the show has already diverged from what the comic has done. Daryl isn't even in it. I'm excited to see the way that the show goes compared to the comic.

Tarrek: Well according to Glenn (producer) Woodbury/Prision is prob going to be about 2 seasons. The show and the comic are going to be really out there. SPOILER In this section this is where Dale would of lost his legs and lori would be killed, with her daughter Judith. And Rick goes insane. I think that it will follow the major plot points but things will be whole lot different. What I am more excited. Robert Kirckmen said that a new male character is coming to the comics later, and he uses a crossbow. Everyone is hoping it is Daryl

I can't wait either! any one have a date for it coming out?
