~Children of Song~ [Event Thread!]
 

Children of Song [CoS] owners, hopefuls, and lurkers! Come one and all to help us celebrate this most WONDERFUL Festival!

Bring your friends, bring your family, and bring your best attire! There is a ball being held by the [Mysterious] creator of the Children, and you are invited!

Whether or not the host will appear before the end is completely up in the air - but if you want to stay and find out, there will be lots to do along the way!

For those who have a Child [or more]:
Roleplaying as your Child can help reveal secrets about the plot of CoS, some neat items for your Children, and even help to grow them! Also, you'll get to meet other Children, and maybe even strike up a relationship or two!

For those who do NOT have a Child:
Come in! RP! Chat! Do whatever! I've always got my eye on people who are active, and [you can ask Rinni] I tend to give away things a lot during events.

Also: Beware of the Were-Rinni. Whatever you do, don't feed her Sugar!

[RP posts can be as long or short as you like - I will reply occasionally with an NPC or two, revealing various parts of the CoS storyline, as well as giving away small drawn items for use in the shop~]

That being said, you're all free to post! Make some noise, and be joyous, for tonight we celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us, and revel in the light of the full and beautiful moon.

[Setting for the Ball:
A mansion sits atop a hill on the very outskirts of town. The greeting room is a small affair in browns and beiges. The ballroom itself is huge, and has a very softly patterned marble floor for dancing and socializing. Food is set out on long tables, and there is a fully-stocked bar just beyond the dance floor.]

The Ball was just getting started, when there was suddenly a bright flash of light. Outside, the light grew and grew, before suddenly cutting off as quickly as it had come - leaving a tiny, shivering form on one of the steps, in a bank of suddenly-appearing snow.

In the middle of the ball room, there was a cackling, like a witches laughter, only young and most definitely male. Out of nowhere, mist started to swirl ominously around a bright ball of light, which then solidified. Into a smug-looking preteen, sitting in mid-air with his wings slightly flapping.
The unmistakable strains of Marilyn Manson's 'This Is Halloween' floated over whoever was attending.

"Nice little shindig you've got here. SO MANY tasty little young ones." the boy said, crossing his legs. "But what is a party without a little chaos, eh? I'm bored of being alone. If any of you can find me? I'll come home with you. Look hard, I'm not easy to spot. And TRY and keep up with my riddles when you find them? You humans are SO droll sometimes..."

With that, the boy vanishes, only the strains of music and some laughter left where he was, both quickly fading.
