do you believe in angels? what if one came right up to you and introduced himself? would you say hi and accept the wings on his back and the words from his mouth or would you look away and pretend you saw nothing, walk away and return to the mundanity of your life?

Well, Chris is going to find out on that one someday. But he doesn't know that...else it wouldn't be fun. He's making his way home after classes at the nearby university/college. He's of average height...a couple of pounds overweight-not a lot, but every now and then he gets a craving for a big mac. And being college student, he eats perfectly healthy otherwise. Does anyone else hear that lie? He has a lip ring, but that's about it on piercings. He has chin length (about) black hair with temporary blue tips. He wanted to try it. He's wearing some cargo pants and a video games t-shirt.

he rolled down the sidewalk with ears only for the music, the crush of bodies all flowed around him like so much water. he smiled, today would be a go- he didn't finish his thought as he hit the person in front of him.

See, Chris saw the skateboard coming. He did, but dodging it? That wasn't going to happen today. He didn't see it coming from that far away to be able to dodge it. Then boom! It was like it was in slow motion. Chris even hears himself making a noise in slow motion as he falls over to the ground. "Ow." His wallet hurt him magically. He's finding a new pocket for that thing. He just looks up at the one who crashed into him. And he blinks. Then rubs his eyes. Is he really seeing what he thinks he is? He tilts his head, still seeing the wings. Did he hit his head somehow? He's seeing wings...and they're not attached to a bird.

all he could see was the sky and legs, he stayed there for a second until a lady in a flaring skirt passed through the edge of his vision. he sat up quickly 'ow, ow, oww why didn't you move?' he looked over at the boy who was sorta gasping as if he was doing his best impression of a fish out of water. he blinked. ".....i am not that pretty am i?" he flashed a cocked-eyed grin

Chris narrows his eyes a bit. "Why didn't you move? You were going faster than me." And that's when his look goes flat. "In case you didn't know...I either hit my head big time or you have extra appendages on your back. Those aren't exactly normal...so I stare." He rubs his eyes again before going to check his pockets and the like-checking to see if his phone still exists and lives. "Why do you have them anyway?" Hell, he might be knocked out and all this could be dream for all he knows. He thinks it might be that one.

he lost his grin and most of his pallor "what do you see?!" he flipped over and crawled towards the other boy

And the other boy is going to scoot away as the winged boy crawls closer. It just sets off warning bells that says RUN AWAY! DO IT NOW! "Wings. Those things that normally only birds have?" That humans do not.

"oh shit, are you serious!" the smile came back only broader and partially open "you can see them, you can actually SEE THEM?!" he moved until his hands were on the boy's thighs pinning him down, keeping him from moving, his face was ecstatic. "how can you see them? noone can see them!" the boy's feathers flapped once and quivered

Okay, wing boy is starting to creep him out a lot to say the least...and he starts scooting faster...until he's caught and makes this weird noise. He just leans away from the boy at this point since he can't get away it seems. "I just can!" He doesn't know why or how just that he does.

"that's not right, you don't know anything? surly there is a reason, there has to be!" by now a small crowd of people had started to gather

Chris makes this whine like noise. "Let me go." He does not the fact that people are gathering around them. "I just do....now let me go." The people gathering make shim wish he could shrink on himself or something right now.

he drops his hands to either side but does not lean away "then tell me, am i am angel?"

"You tell me. You have wings. Wings alone don't make you anything....cept a person with wings." He sticks out his tongue a bit which lets his one other piercing show-a tongue ring.

laughingly he sits back on his legs "ok fair enough, hi, i am alec, who are you?"

"I'm Chris. And it's been said demons can take the appearance of angels. So you never know." And so, he gets up and starts checking for damage to himself.

looking up at the other he said with all sincerity "i don't believe in demons though"

(sorry couldn't do it, i tried though)

"Believing in them doesn't change anything. If they're there....they're there whether you believe in them or not." He shrugs a bit. He checks his bag to make sure stuff didn't fly out and away or anything as he obviously chews on his tongue ring a bit. It's a bad habit. "Are you fine?"

he quickly got up and put his hand to his hair fetching out the tangled headphones "yeah, though i think you are wrong. none of that bullshit about angels and demons could be true, i've certainly never seen one"

"Well, if there was any doubt, you aren't one." Chris snorts a bit. Angels that cuss? That's just a bit unlikely. "And maybe they don't want you to see them. If you don't want to believe...you won't even if you do see one straight up."

he pondered this for a moment as the crowd dissipated, teenagers talking crazy was not new or interesting "then, did you want to see my wings because you want me to be an angel?"

"I saw your wings because they're there." He just shrugs a bit before stretching. "I don't want you to be anything. You are what you are. End of story. The only way someone else wanting you to be something will change anything....is if you let it. I'd be going to college to be a doctor if I went with that."

"....be my friend" he looked at the other daring him to refuse

He just tilts his head a bit staring at the other. And he keeps on staring. "Is that a demand?" It doesn't sound like a question or a request considering the way the other is looking at him.

'no, it is a statement, and a redundant one, you are my friend now, only you can change that so accept it' he grinned again figuring himself to have won a game of wits

Chris just looks at Alec flatly. "You know that's a two way street, right?" He rolls his eyes a bit. "You can't be friends if the other person doesn't agree with it." He yawns a bit before picking up his back pack. "You sure you didn't hurt yourself or anything?"

he ignored the comment. my headphones work fine" he put them back on and found the edge of the cable, he blow it off and dug in a pocket, fining a little black thing he plugged it in "my mp3 too, good thing to or mom would kill me haha" he paused. "oh shit! mom! dude, you have to come with me, mom won't believe why i am late otherwise" he looked beseechingly at the other "please?"

He shakes his head a bit. "That isn't the question I asked." He says softly, kind of under his breath, but does no more. "I'm glad I'm in college now." His parents leave him alone nowadays. They still talk and all, but he does his own thing now. "Why does it matter if you're late?" Oh...he'll still come...he guesses, but he doesn't see why it matters.

"and that is not the answer i was looking for" he did not wait but grabbed the other by the wrist and went over to his skateboard "ride or walk? you are the first person i've ever run over so it's fair to say i can get us there safely"

Chris kind of squeaks a bit as he's grabbed and pulled. "Mmmm....I think I will walk." For his safety. And Alec's too. But mostly his safety. He doesn't want to die.

he kicked it into his free hand "walk it is" he put on a cheshire grin and hurriedly pulled the other along

He just kind of takes a step away at that grin. That grin doesn't mean good things in his experience. He still follows, but you better believe he's paying attention to the way they're going.

he looked over to the other as they walked 'so what was so important you could not see me?'

"I saw you....just too late to get out of the way." Chris just shrugs a bit. "I wasn't paying attention...just like you weren't either."

he held his tongue for several minutes after that. 'hey look,' he finally said as they came to the top of a soft sloping hill 'there is school' he turned to the other 'please ride down the hill with me? it'll be fuu~uun'

And Chris goes back to playing with/chewing on his tongue ring. It's a nervous reaction. Chris just shakes his head. "I'm still good with walking." Besides, he'd be tempted to cling to him like a spider monkey on the way down which would definitely make them crash. "You can go down the hill?"

'naw' he made a face then looked away 'how rude is that, making you walk with me and leaving you at the last minute, not worth it even on a slope twice as heavy'

He shrugs a bit. "It isn't like a couldn't catch up or anything." He just gives him a weird look at the heavy part. "I feel like I'm old." He acts like an old person sometimes.

'oh' he said, 'um, it's a steep hill, hard to manage.'

"Mmmm. Okay....I still feel old." He lets his tongue just flop out. "I think....I think like an old person too." He rubs his head a bit.
