Character Name: Zekrak Kenarn (commonly goes by Zek)
Played By: Rose Gender: Male Race: Demonic drow (also known as a mutt or half breed for insulting purposes) Age: 100 (looks about 20-25) Build: Average give or take, slight definition of muscles but not over doing it, at the least looks like he's in shape. Appearance: Standing at 6 ft with crimson red hair that stays pulled back into a kept tall. His hair stays in a kept yet not kept style with some of his bangs being at longer lengths then the rest of his hair, mainly being at the side of his face. His eyes are a deep blue, they stand out for both of the mixed bloods that he has in him. His clothing normally is rather dubbed down as far as royal attire if concerned, though to be honest he'd rather it that way. He hates being noticed but his appearance hardly helps that. Really on the first glance he passed rather well as a traveler. Weapons of Choice: Pole weapons, is trained to use them with a tower shield, but that's rare. It's common to see him with a pole axe, similar to his mother's tastes in weapons Abilities: knack for metal work, and control over fire (granted his abilities with fire are limited due to his lack of focus). Due to the demonic blood he has the ability to heal most wounds, though depending on the severity of them then it can end up doing more damage then good. Personality: Cocky, egotistical, poor flirt, smart mouth, quick tempered. Bio: Ryza the current queen of the drow of the western continent is his mother, his father was banished long before it was known she was carrying Zekrak. Though she did her best to train him and raise him as well as she could, with the help of her father; Vaden. Between the two of them they managed to keep the half blooded demon out of trouble, though it hardly said anything about his outlook on the world. Personally he never wishes to take the kingdom over, though his destiny will lead him to more then just that as his sole worry. In most cases he'll avoid speaking to women, race means little to him he just avoids them. Being the next in line it isn't too uncommon to see females try to get his attention, though seeing as he has no real experience with them let alone desire to settle down any time soon he ignores them. The also not too uncommon fact is that he will turn up missing from the kingdom, on purpose not telling anyone where he ventured off to. No real direction or goal he tends to just wander around till something catches his attention. Though most things lose his attention just as quickly. |
Elvara stood at the tip of the boat. Her white air blowing on the wind as she smelt the salty sea water below her. The sore was in view. After three days of sailing she was about to set feet on dry land and she was greatfull for that.
As the ship landed at the harbor she walked slowly down the plank until she set her feet on dry still land. Man that good! Looking to the crew behind her she gave a smile and a wave before walking off into the distance. Elvara had a lot of things to do before the traveling could begin. Walking into town she looked out and saw a little stand. Walking over she noticed that the stand had everything a traveler would need. Dry meats, breads, herbs and other things set out on the table. Grabbing what she needed she headed out. There was no time to waste. It had been hours since she left the harbor. She was now walking through what seemed to be an endless feild of trees. She sighed "If im lost I swear to to the gods..." She said to herself before the trees broke to reveal another town. The sun was setting before she realized. Giving a little shrug of her shoulders Elvara walked over to a tavern to see if a room was available. Walking in through the doors she stopped looking about. Different men and woman sat at different tables all drinking. Some were laughing and others talked quietly to the others around them. Walking over to the bar tender she gave a smile "Hello there" She said "I need a room" The bartender looked to her for a moment looking her up and down before he nodded his head "We have one left" He said passing a key to the young female "Up those stairs to your left" He stated to her. Elvara smiled "Thank you kind sir!" She said happily before running up the stairs to her room. A little while later she came back down. Getting a drink of nothing but water she went over and sat down in a table that was hidden by the darkness of the corner. Crossing her legs and arms she sighed hanging her head a little. Elvara did not know how long it would take for her to find what she needed. All she had hopes for was that she was on the right track. She had heard there to be one of the items in the sorrounding area. But where was her question. |
Even though he tried to hide his identity from most there were still the females that knew who he was. Though there were upsides to this.. even if he didn't commonly abuse them. Key word being commonly, he was a young male after all and rebellious to no end. Though in truth he feared the very thing that he seemed to desire, going through certain periods where he avoided women like the plague while other times he seemed to act as he probably should be fro someone his age in elven years.
Though today was one of his more or less normal days a small group of guys, three in total, walked into the tavern. From the reaction of the bar keep he seemed to know this group even if they were a bit on the loud side. It was a odd combination from just a glance, it seemed to be a half elf, a human and a lizardman. Th group seemed to pick a table off to the side before the conversation they were carrying on continued. One of the bar maidens walked over placing a round on the table, though it seemed one of the group either didn't drink or wasn't a regular here. "Are you still not going to? It happened once it was probably a damn fluke" The human said towards the half elf, though he remained quiet refusing to give him a answer. The third of the group shook his head before telling the human to leave him be. "he's just pissed that he lost again... not that it's that big of a shock" His ears went back at the words as he shot a glare that could kill towards both of them. "I could have won and you damn well know it!" He finally seemed to speak up. "then why didn't you? You've yet to win a match yet each time you say you could have.. prove it some time eh?" The human taunted him, though it probably wasn't the brightest move. "tsk.. I don't have to prove shit to you.. besides even with losing every match I can still get laid, whens the last time you got anything?" He waved a hand in the air with a laugh after his statement, he knew he had him there. The human seemed to shut up for the moment and the lizard man snickered under his breath. It was a bit of a crude conversation, but boys will be boys. Though the weapons they carried made it be a very odd group. Most in the tavern held no weapons. But these three had a combination. The lizard man having duel blades at his waste, the half elf carrying a pole axe and the human had a bow on his back with a quiver. Either they were a group that traveled together or they were a tournament group. Though the contests were over, they ended today a few hours before they had made it to the tavern. "So what now? we hardly got any winnings this year.. if mr hot shot over here would pull his weight instead of barking we'd win once in a while.. or at least more often." The half elf seemed to ignore the comment as he spaced out looking towards the bar counter. "simple we split up, and regroup next year.. like always. Each taking a share and fending for himself till then." He muttered out before propping his elbow on the table and resting his head on his hand."not like anything changes, i'll go back to preforming duties i hardly care about and you two will go back to being bums begging for side jobs" The lizard man flipped his tail a little at the comment. "i'd trade you places any day, I think me or Fenix here could do a better job" The half elf laughed a bit before replying "i'd gladly trade with you both, hell save me the trouble of trying to hide during the festivals over the down months." He laughed again, it was rather funny the more he thought about it. The one they had called Fenix spoke up again though it was something along the line he was going to waste the amount that was his share on drinks and pray he got lucky. Though the other two at the table looked at one another knowing that was a lost cause. "Come on... you should drink I mean this could be the last time we see one another me and Myr here could get killed over the slow months... " He smiled towards the half elf knowing he probably wouldn't win this one. "last time.. no" he hissed out and went back to watching the bar counter. "after what happened last time.. like hell i am" He grumbled under his breath. Though after a moment he sat up right in his chair and sighed heavily before moving a little just to glance around the room, he really didn't want to go back but what the hell else was there to do now. His deep blue eyes scanning each of the members in the tavern currently, he might not look like much at first glance but the idiotic act was a cover, he wasn't smart at everything but he did know there seemed to be a few faces he didn't recognize from the area. Let alone the rarity there was a dark elf in here? He shrugged that off, there were a few that went to the towns though it was more common for them to stay among their own kind. A few moments later the human had managed to down a few more drinks, probably a few more then he should have as he started his rounds of trying to pick up any female he could. Zek looked towards Myr before speaking as he stood. "That's my cue to leave, before he makes a fool of himself." He grabbed his weapon that he had rested against the wall before walking towards the door, though he glanced very briefly at the dark elf woman again, what was it.. her dress seemed out of place for this area. Whatever to each their own he thought as he left the tavern. Though he didn't go far as he stopped at the edge of the building and leaned against it before looking up. "whelp.. another few long months to come heh.." |
Elvara sat there and watched what took place before her. Nothing really cought her attention until she noticed three young men walk into the tavern. Among them a what seemed to be half elf. She watched them with intrest as they babbled on about things men usually babble on about. Then the half elf stood and walked away. She gave a shrug of her shoulders at that before his drunken friend came over to where she sat and began hitting on her.
"Look..." Elvara said "I am not interested in the likes of you so if you may please kindly take your leave before I make it for you" She said giving the male a glare. This earned a yelled from the now pissed off male 'Who do you think you are?" She heard from drunken lips. So she responded "I think I am a female that put a drunken male in his place by saying no" She said with a smirk to him. That was it and the male was pissed and she smiled. With him swinging a hand she grabbed it quickly forcing it behind her back as she gave a growl "I told you...no" With that she picked the other male up simply before walking to the door and outside throwing the male flat on his face with a deep growl "Try and raise a hand to me again and I will kill you with out a second thought" She hissed "A man should never try and hit a woman!" She was pissed standing over the male looking at him with anger in her green eyes. |
He jumped a little as Fenix seemed to be forced outside and slammed upon the ground. He stood there just watching this as the young female he had noticed earlier was standing there almost growling at him. Though Fenix never said a word with the wind knocked out of him and probably the shock a female just floored him.
After a moment he finally walked over but still kept a safe enough distance from the both of them. "Finally picked on one that threw your ass huh.. saw that coming. I told you that drow females aren't your type didn't i? Geese never listen" He shrugged a little. He never got a reply from the human though he hardly expected one. He looked towards the female, though she seemed pissed as ever still. He knew first hand how a drows temper could be.. though how would he not know. "I don't think you have to kill him, you already destroyed what drunkin pride he had as it is." He laughed slightly, he hardly seemed to care about her temper, though truthfully he didn't care. "So how about you go on back inside hrm? As fun as it would be to watch you continue to beat the living hell out of him, and I sure as hell know he deserves it.. I can't just stand by and let you do that either, not while he's on the ground anyway. If he stands by all means" He didn't expect her to listen to him at all but he couldn't stand by and watch her kill the human no matter how much of a idiot he was. Aside from that the whole line that you shouldn't hit a girl.. there were limits to that. Like if the said girl was trying to kill you. Though he was raised under the same rules, the drows here were ruled by a female. So it was only natural she had trained her own blood in such a rule along with a few others. |
Elvara stood there then turned her gaze to the other male as he stepped forward. It was the male from the tavern, the lowly humans friend. She snorted to his comment "Where I come from you dont raise a hand to a female" She spat out before she continued "Let alone royality" She said before the drunken male on the ground hissed out "Yeah and I have a broken nose" Elvara turned on her heal and kicked out.
Her foot colided with that of the males face. She gave a smile as she heard a crunch "Funny you should say that" She said looking down at him "Because it seems as though your nose is broken" Elvara then looked up to the half elf before her. "And what will you do about it if I do decide that he needs to die?' She said in an almost mocking tone. "Because to me thats funny" She said again. And it was. Looking at the two males before her she could take them out both out witout weapons and she knew that. Turing around when she didnt get a reply fast enough for her liking she began to walk away "Now take your friend him the smell of his retched blood is filling my nose and making me sick" She said in a growl walking back into the tavern and up to her room. |
He nearly snorted a laugh with the royal comment but he managed to keep it in, what the hell was she really a noble? That was almost too damn rich really, he had a million and one comments on that. Most of them would probably throw her for a loop let alone if she found out his real identity. "I never said hitting a woman was in the right now did i? Damn all drows are the same" he still hardly seemed to care about who he was talking to, noble or not.
Though he frowned a little when she seemed to mock him "I wouldn't ask something that stupid if I were you... " Fenix on the ground was holding his bleeding nose and he started to speak up about something. "Yeah because this is the p-!" Zek hauled off and kicked the poor guys ribs once shooting him a glare. That was almost close, what the hell humans were a pain when drunk. As she walked away he grappled Fenix and pulled him to his feet. "you damned mad? How many times do i have to remind you not to say the very words you were about to say!?" He sighed a little before letting him go. "whatever just go get that looked at before it makes your face any uglier.." Fenix nodded a little though he stopped a few feet away before speaking "she could have killed you, and you know it." He shrugged a little "what good would it have done her? Hell she'd be doing me a favor if I stayed that way" He never spoke further into details about what he meant by that as the human went back to walking off to seek a medical building. Zek sighed a little before taking the other direction and walking towards the exit of the town. He figured he had a few more days of freedom before anyone was sent to go track him down, he sure as hell wasn't going to walk back willingly. Though to admit it his curiosity was perked a little when the woman said she was royalty.. though he wasn't sure if she was trying to use it as a bluff or not. She defiantly wasn't from this area he'd have known if she was. |
Elvara fumed as she was in her foom passing back and forth. The nerve of some people! She took a deep breath before she calmed down going over the events in her head. There was something fishey about the half elf and she needed to find out what it was. Elvara shook her head and sighed it would have to wait. She has more important things to worry about first. Laying down she sighed before falling into a restless sleep.
The morning came of swift wings to Elvara who didnt want it. She groaned as the first rays of the morning sun reached her eyes. Blinking slowly she then stretched cracking her back and neck before standing. Grabbing everything she needed and had she locked the door and headed down to the main part of the tavern. Looking to the bar tender she gave a smile "Thank you very much for the room" She said happily and the larger man gave a smile "You are more then welcome weerey traveler" He said with a nod. That is when Elvara gave the ky to the male along with 4 gold coins "Um the cost is only 2 coins" The man said "Then think of it as a tip!" She said before waving and leaving out the doors. Taking a deep breath of the morning air she headed on her way leaving the town behind as he feet took her forward. It was a little time a couple hours most when she realized that she was being fallowed. How long had that person been there and who was it? Elvara kept walking until the trees broke into a clearing. The clearing had grass and flowers all over it and also what seemed to a little pond with fish jumping up in the late afternoon sun catching the bugs that hovered over the water. Elvara stopped and hissed out a sigh "You know...I really hate being fallowed" She said before quickly taking two daggers from her leg strap and fiering them off at the same time into the direction of the fallower in the south line of trees. She had a feeling as to who it was but still...you dont fallow people. Its just not nice. |
He never bothered to get a room, hell sleeping outside wasn't that bad, at least not in this area it was rather peaceful. Also staying anywhere would give his location away and cut the time he had for freedom in half. Though he already knew of a certain wizard that could find him no matter where the hell he went anyway so he wasn't sure why he was bothering.
As dawn broke he started moving again, no real direction he was more or less just following the path. It's not like he was in any real danger hell his weapon alone normally deterred the common thugs off. That suited him just fine, it made it all the easier to avoid conflict. Though in his aimless walk he did after a while find something that perked his interest. It seemed to be the woman from the other day at the tavern. He had to admit he was curious as to where she was from cause he knew damn well it wasn't this area. Not when his own mother kept close tabs on the clans here. Aside from that minor curiosity he didn't really care too much about her or what she was doing or rather trying to do. As a bit of time passed he didn't even mean to follow her, it just happened to be the main path. Really he was a few miles from parting directions with her. Though the next sudden movement from her he would be changing his mind as far as leaving her alone. Sure he hear her speak but she had cursed a few times during the walk, probably be lost he'd guess. This time it was different... She spoke of being followed and he thought about it in the split second he had before he saw the sudden movement she did. Two daggers seemed to leave her hand, though he was already prepared for this. It was a dark elf after all most commonly had at least two daggers if not more then that on them at all times. One he easily forced in another direction with his weapon, though the other he seemed to miss on purpose before catching the handle of it and looking at her as if to say 'really'. ""Well I don't really like daggers being thrown at me so I guess were damn even aren't we!" He hissed towards her before flicking his hand downward as the dagger landed in the ground near his feet. "also I wasn't following you, if you didn't notice there's one fucking path, so don't be so full of yourself." He huffed a little before he started to walk towards her though he made it to be a point that he was merely walking past her. Sure turning his back to a drow was hardly smart, but he had his reasons. Not only that but he didn't care to play any little who's going to move first games with her. |
Elvara glared deep as he walked past her. "Who the hell do you think you are!?!" She spat before lashing out with one of the now two drawn blades she held in her hand "Have more respect for a superior!" She said in a little bit of a frustrated tone. This man! She thought as she looked at him. How infurriating he was and they had only met twice!
When the male before he stopped then turned mocking eyes to her before he began to laugh. "WHATS TO GOD DAMN FUNNY!?" She yelled before charging at him with her two blades drawn. Swinging a right up she slashed up with her left in a furry of movements that kept comming. Well her temper was now lost and needed to be found. |
He couldn't help but find it funny, his superior. She didn't know od god she didn't know, it was just too rich for him. "oh you have no idea..." he kept laughing he couldn't help it, this was really almost the funniest thing he had heard. Someone telling him to respect another let alone someone that thinks she was superior to him.
Though he wouldn't tell her, no not yet, she didn't need to know. Hell this was just starting to look like it was going to be fun. Though the female seemed to lose her temper suddenly with his little outburst of laughing. He was forced back as he kept his weapon up, he didn't seem to even try to strike at her. As all he did was blocking her weapons with his. Though she hardly gave him time to do much else. |
Elvara slashed and hacked at the male before her. Then she slashed out with her right hand then kicked straight with her left leg. Watching the male block her attacks she noticed the weak points in the other males movements. So she struck when she was sure about it. And she was right! Catching the male off gaurd she sent him flying backwards with the force of her kick.
Though she was shorter then he was and less built she had strength and could use it if pissed off enough. And right now she was pissed off to that point. She stood straight and looked at him with a smirk. He was sitting on the ground a few feet away one hand holding the weapon while the other held his stomach. Elvara glared "You laugh and yet you have no Idea who you laugh at" She said to him before placing the blades back on her back with a huff. Ignoring him like she didnt care if he attacked or not she walked over and collected her daggers placing them with the other four on her leg. That is when she proceeded to walk past the male with her nose in the air and her arms crossed "Some people just dont even know' She said to herself as she walked past him. |
Sure he had a few chances to attack back, but he wasn't it was almost like he was refusing to do so. Though he had already made up his mind that he wasn't going to strike at her if she chose to attack. Knowing drows he knew she would if he pushed her a little too far. Though he did end up getting a little sloppy in his form mid way through this little contest, and she saw it right away.
The sudden strike caught him off guard as he tried to get his lost wind back, though that was easier said then done. 'well.. that should end this fight at least' he thought to himself knowing if he just stayed down she'd probably go about her way. Sure it seemed a little submissive but he wasn't about to try and go hand and hand with a female drow in a fight, let alone when he didn't want to fight even. He laughed a little before moving and leaning his back against a tree still staying on the ground. "I might not know who you are, but I can tell your a damn spoiled princess" he smirked a bit, thats what he had gotten from this little display. So needless to say his curiosity was settled enough as far as she was concerned. It was still funny, this woman would probably never believe him even if he told her who the hell he was, though if they kept crossing paths like this then it was a matter of time before someone spilled it. |
Elvara stopped dead in her tracks when she heard him speak next. "Spoiled no" She said before turning her head and looking at him with a smirk "Princess...yes" She said almost smugly. With that she huffed and turned her back leaving the male behind. She had things to do and wasting her time on the half elf before her seemed wrather pointless.
She completely forgot about the male as she kept walking. She was almost expecting him to fallow but when he didnt she shrugged it off like nothing. It had almost been a full day of walking and there was no towns insight. Elvara gave a sigh "looks like im camping outside tonight" She said to herself. Then she went about her way of making a fire and catching a rabbit to eat. Now she sat leaned up on a tree with a fire before her and a rabbit on a spit over it. Looking at it she grabbed something from her back and sprinkled it ontop of the rabit before leaning back with a sigh. |
After she left the area he sighed heavily and forced himself to his feet. "damn.. if I were normal that would still be hurting like a bitch.." He rubbed where she kicked a little before he started walking, though he took a different path then what she did, this one lead away from the forest. Though he knew where it lead to, maybe he'd have a few days that he could just spend there, at least before he was found out again.
It was really a matter of time before they sent the wizard to find him, there was no point in sending anyone else. Hell he only listened to the wizard at the thought of avoiding banishment. It's times like that when he cursed his demonic blood, though in most cases it had kept him alive most of his life. Due to his lack of a will to fight he probably should be dead a hundred times over. Either way he didn't need to worry about that too much. They'd drag him back to the castle he'd put on a bit of a show for the damned nobles and then when the tournament seasons started he'd be gone again. Or that's how it had worked all the years before. It was well into the night before he finally got to the area he wanted to be at. It was in the middle of bloody no where... no really it was in the middle of a clearing and the only thing that stood were a few trees that grew out from the rubble and the ruins of a town long lost now. He never knew why, but he was always drawn here. Even as a young child he felt like he should just be here near this place. He had questioned Vaden about it a few times but each time he seemed to avoid answering the question. So over the years he just shrugged off getting a answer and dealt with not knowing. either way he moved and leaned his back against one of the still standing walls before looking towards the night sky. He didn't say a word, then again there was no real point in talking to yourself. |
Elvara ate silently and after words laid down with her head on her pack. She looked up to the clear sky above her. Noting the stars and there placement before her eyes closed and she fell into a slight sleep.
Early morning came with the first raise of the sun shining right in Elvaras eyes and she groaned with a protest. Soon her eyes opened and she turned her head looking at the fire that was now just smoking embers. She didnt even remember falling asleep. Sitting up she stretched before standing and grabbing what she needed. There was no time to waste as she headed off again. Walking for awhile she stopped and looked about. Everything looked the goddam same! Every tree was as the one before it even the grass mocked her! She huffed. Elvara really was lost it would seem. Picking a direction she walked for what seemed like hours before she reached the branching of trees to reveal a small town hidden in the middle of no where. She was greatfull for that as she headed towards a shop keep. Walking in she looked at the old man that sat behind the counter. "Hello there" She said with a nod of her head "I was wondering if you could give me some directions...I seem to be a little lost" She said with a sheepish smile and the old male before her smiled softly "Oh yes these trees can confuse anyone" He said with a nod of his head "Where is it that you need to go young lady?" He asked with a tilt of his head. "I am in need to find a town called Rainscop" She said thinking of the name. The male tilted his head 'You my dear are far from it" He said 'Rainscop is about...2 days walk from here" He said with a little nod of his head "Go out north and keep walking down the path you find there and you should be there within 2 days time if yee are a fast walker" He said with a smile. Elvara thanked the man and left. Standing there for a moment she looked out of the north end of town before turning on her heal and heading out the same way. It was just about night fall when Elvara sighed "Camping out again...what a pitty' She said before taking out a dagger and carving an X into a tree. Walking further in she did it to a couple more all the way grabbing brush and sticks for a fire. Soon she made one last X then sat down on the ground back to a tree as she made her fire. When the soft glow of light shooed away the darkness she leaned back and smiled. It was a peaceful night...or so she thought. |
By mid afternoon Zek found he had company, though it wasn't like he was really trying to hide where he was. Hell he came to this spot often enough. "well you aren't hard to find, aside from getting out here to the middle of the rolling fields.. " A voice spoke before Zek looked up from where he was sitting. "I wasn't trying to hide.. just not planning to go back either."
The man that joined him now shrugged a little "Well your not going back just yet, Ryza has more then enough work piled up currently without help" He smiled at Zek who seemed to take the hint that she was busy and he was in the way. "tsk good means you can go back to what you were doing too old man" The man that had joined Zek looked to be a bit older probably around his late 40's if not a little older. Though being a elf that hardly meant anything. He wore a robe of sorts though it was hardly over done. Aside from his name being around and from being the head of the magic division in the kingdom most would never know that he was part of the royal family. Though he was similar to Zek in that way, he tended to stay away from the castle when he could, but he still tended to whatever duties needed. "I will be returning to what I was doing, but I came out here to fetch you, it takes more energy then you think to transport all this way." Zek frowned a little at the thought of that. "So to town then? I take it theres something I have to help with if your refusing to just leave me here" he sighed a little. "Indeed.. more of a test" He never gave Zek the time to answer if he was going or not before he had already cast the spell to transport them both to the town where he commonly stayed at and inside of the building he kept for his research and potions. "Oye.. Fuck! Next time warn me.. damn it... " He said rubbing his head a little, it was a known fact that transportation spells could have side affects on those that were not the caster. Though at the same time Vaden knew Zek all too well and he could be there all day trying to get him to agree to coming. |
Elvara was on the road early in the morning. Though she ran alot of the way. Jumping and running down the path she smiled as she felt free again. Her legs didnt know the meaning stop as she soon came to a town with the a sign that said "Welcome to Rainscop" She was greatfull "Cha...two days my ass!" She said with a smile as she walked into the town.
Looking about she saw a tavern and gave a smile. It would be nice for a proper rest and a bath! Heading towards it she gave a smile at the bartender as she walked in. The female behind the counter gave a smile "Hello there" She said and Elvara nodded her head 'I am in need of a room' She said with a smile and got a frown from the women infront of her "Oh im sorry dear" She said "We have no rooms ready at the moment" She said 'Though please have a seat and a drink" She said with a smile and Elvara took her kindness. Talking a glass of water with ice she went and sat down in the far left corner of the tavern there she would watch who came and went as she waited for a room. |
Vaden had just walked into the tavern when Elvara went to sit down. As far as anyone could tell he was just a normal dark elf, white/silver hair and dark skin. though his skin color varied a little having a hint of red compared to Elvara's but that was probably due to the area the drows stayed in here.
Upon walking to the counter he seemed to strike up a friendly conversation right away with the bar keep like he was a common customer, and truth of it was .. he visited often. He had just gotten whatever drink he ordered when the woman that had spoken to the female drow walked over to him and started talking to him as well now. "You still have space don't you I mean thats not been taken over with papers and books and all that?" He questioned why she was asking but was quickly explained. "I feel sorry for the poor dear, she looks like she traveled a ways and none of my currents are planning to leave for a few days." He sighed a little, he knew he had Zek staying there already though he could keep him in line. Plus he didn't see him trying to make a move on a female dark elf anyway. Not from all the years of dealing with his mother. "I'll ask her, though if she's not from around here it's a little odd for a stranger to ask such a thing" he laughed slightly before returning his attention back to the drink. Though to most in the area he was hardly a stranger. Hell it was hard to go anywhere where someone didn't know him. But he had been around for so long that was to be expected, and he never went out of his way to harm anyone even if he was one of the top wizards of the kingdom. Once he was finished he stood and walked over to the young drow female before stopped at a respectable distance and bowing. "So I heard your looking for a room, if you don't mind a few piles of paperwork and tombs your free to stay at the building down the walkway." He tried to stay as proper as he could, for the moment he didn't know of her royal background, though he did do quite a bit of reading and she favored one of the rulers over the seas. But he wasn't going to believe that she was the princess just like that. "The choice is yours, it's just me and my grandson there at the moment so you wouldn't be bothered in the least." Though that last part was probably a lie, Zek had a bit of a mouth when he wanted. But that was also just as easily solved. "Oh, forgive me I never even gave you my name, my age seems to be getting to me again." He said brushing the fact off he was probably being a little informal on purpose. "Vaden CathAn'ar at your services milady" He made a slight bow again before waiting her reply. Though he figured she was going to turn down such a odd offer, it wasn't common that drows from different clans were nice to one another. But Vaden was hardly what you call normal to say the least. |
Elvara looked up to the male before her as he came and stood bowing. She listened to him with a little tilt of his head. At the come stay with me she raised a brow to that. Was this some way of kidnapping her? Then when the male spoke his name she smiled "Oh my..." She said "Your the wizard of the..." She began snapping her fingers "Man...My mind escapes me" She said in a little laugh rubbing the back of her head "Well either way" She said as she stood with a nod of her head.
"My name is Elvara blane, princess of the western islands" She said with a smile and nod of her head "And for a little proof.." She said with a smile taking out the necklace that was hidden by her shirt with a smile. All the drow families across the world had the same family crest. One that all the royal family members had on their person in one way or another. And there she dangled it infront of her chest with a smile. "Your kindness is very welcomed" She said softly. |
He noticed her expression before his name, it seemed word got around more then he knew of who he was. Even if she didn't know the name of the kingdom it hardly mattered. "heh.. yes the wizard, the kingdom name your looking for is Celaes" He said just to jog her memory.
Though as she went on his thoughts of her being of the over sea's kingdom was confirmed. She didn't have to give him proof, not with her skin color and eyes he had enough proof without the necklace. "Think nothing of it, glad to be of assistance. Though I think they should go about remodeling so my study isn't turned into a bed and bath quite so often" He smiled saying this, it was a grim joke but still one none the less. With that out of the way and she seemed to be done here he lead her out of the tavern and a few buildings down before coming to a stop at a what looked to be a slightly remolded library. It probably was a library at one time but he had fixed it up a bit and made it so it had rooms and that it was suitable to live in. "Whatever my grandson says to you please pay it no mind, he.. can be a handful." He had given her a fair warning, though Zek probably would keep to himself as he normally did. Though the way Vaden spoke about his grandson it made it sound like a young child and not someone that was near the same age as Elvara. As soon as the door opened he showed her in, though there were books and paperwork everywhere.. it was easy to tell what his hobbies were. Though the center of the room seemed to have a sort of living room area where Zek was half sitting and laying on the sofa there. Vaden was already telling her sorry for the mess but it's normally just him, or else just him and his grandson. He said that with a slight motion towards Zek. Though Zek sat up suddenly an his face went a little pale seeing the woman with Vaden. "oh shit.." he said suddenly as his ears went back and dropped a little. This wasn't good, if she was with Vaden oh dear god she'd know! or if she didn't she'd find out! |
Elvara gave a smile as she fallowed the male down a few doors to the house. She stopped and looked at the outside before she was kindly offered to head in. Walking in she looked about the room. Papers and books of different sizes and shapes littered not only the walls but floors, tables, and book cases "Oh the mess is fine trust me" She said with a smile "The study back home is quite the same" She said with a little hint of a laugh.
Elvara laughed as he said dont pay him mind "Oh im sure he isent that bad" She said before turning her gaze and stopping dead in her tracks. Soon her ears flattened and she gave a deep growl placing her hand on her daggers at her leg "YOU!" She said taking a step forward "Why do the gods hate me!" She cursed stomping her foot. "I swear to god if you fallowed me I will do everything in my power to make sure your last breath is mine!" She growled at him seeing the male stand and get all defensive. How could this be? Was it really that small of a world? Elvara shook her head. What was going on here? |
Vaden looked between Zek and Elvara "well... by that I take it you two have met... What'd you do this time?" He never missed a beat though he didn't seem all that concerned even with Elvara threatening to kill him as he walked off towards another room still in ear shot. "well?" He finally called out again seeing as he never got a answer.
"Following you? Hell your fucking following me around! What the fuck makes you think that i'd want to follow you around you already threw daggers at me, trust me it's not a turn on for most guys sorry to burst your bubble." His ears were still down a bit, really he wanted nothing to do with this damned woman. Hell what were the odds that he'd cross paths with her again. "wait what'd i do? I didn't do anything!" He tried to protest though Vaden seemed use to Zek normally being the cause of most events. He walked back out of the other room for a second and gave a oh really sort of look towards Zek before he asked Elvara a question "do you want anything? Aside from killing him of course... because I can already telly you the daggers you have there aren't going to work." He seemed to have a method to his way of talking, hinting towards things yet not out right telling someone what he meant. Zek sighed a little "I didn't, i ran into her a few days ago he was about to beat the living hell out of Fenix, granted he deserved it but still. Then I crossed paths with her in the forest " He glared towards the woman before speaking again. "on that note at least couldn't you learn my name before trying to kill me!" Vaden sighed a little leaning against the door frame. "Did you ever think that if you acted the way you were suppose to and let people know who you are that you maybe wouldn't get daggers thrown at you?" Zek snorted a little at Vaden's comment. "I could let her know.. but it was too much fun listening to her telling me to respect her because she's my superior." He smirked a bit, this was still very funny to him. Vaden shook his head before spilling out what Zek refused to do. "Well.. how about we get off on another foot here and try a little bit of a proper introduction.." He said it a little flatly as he was keeping a eye between the two, one seemingly ready to bolt and the other ready to kill him if he tried. "Lady Elvara Blane, princess of the Western Islands... meet Zekrak Kenarn, prince of the kingdom of Celas" Well there went his fun for the rest of the time she was here. Though he thought the princess bit was a bluff. Though did he have to also tell her that her daggers wouldn't do any good... damn. |
Elvara stood there growling as she listened to the bickering back and forth between the two. She stopped though and turned green eyes towards Vaden "Him...the prince!?!" She asked shocked looking towards the male infront of her "There is so many things wrong with that I dont even know where to start!" She said in a huff as the other made a comment about her royal blood she hissed.
"For your information 'prince zekrak'..." She began in a mocking tone "I am who he says I am" She said with a huff crossing her arms. Then she got a smile and began laughing holding her stomach. When asked what was so funny she blurtted out "OH MY GOD! It explains so much!" She said still laughing. Standing she whiped a tear from her eye "And you are the one that called me a spoiled castle brat" She said with a mocking tone. "And one last thing..." She said looking to Vaden "So...if he is truely Prince Zekrak kenarn from the kingdom Celas then he is a halfling correct?" She asked with a tilt of her head "It makes sence then that the daggers wouldnt work" Looking to Zek she smiled "Seems killing you is going to take more effort then I thought it would" She said with a little bit of a frown. The only reason why Elvara knew this was because her father forced every peice of information about royal familys accross the world into her head for such a thing. And she comblained the whole time but now she was greatfull for it. |
"tsk i care less if you are who you say you are.. it'll be damned peacful again when you go back about your way." He figured he'd never see her again and as far as he was concerned that was good for him.
Though Vaden did nod at her saying Zek was a half blood. "It's true, given his demonic blood he's as close to imortal as you can get without being so, granted a normal weapon can kill him.. it'd take a great deal of effort to so do." Though Vaden was hardly done with his small speech. "though... a weapon say like this one" He said pulling out a dagger, it looked normal enough at first glance. "is infused with runes that are designed just with the sole purpose of dealing with demons.." He smiled a little. Zek hardly looked amused. "yeah yeah.. why don't you give her the damned dagger and do me a favor.." he hissed out under his breath, he hardly seemed to care about death that ws certain. Though he knew very well that dagger would do real damage and it would take a extended period of time to heal the damage. |
Elvara stood there and looked at the dagger that the older elf held. It looked simple and plain but when he spoke she gave a smile "Awww yes...runes" She said happily "I remember reading that within one of the books back in my kingdom" She said with a nod of her head "Tho the island has been dry of runes for quite some years now" She said almost sadly.
At the comment of giving her the blade she smiled and desided that it would be fun if she messed with the males head before her. "Do you a favor' She said taking slow steps forward then around the male. Next she did something unexpected. Wrapping her arms around the males waste there from behind she leaned up and kissed his cheek before whispering into his ear as she pulled away "What fun would that be..." Elvara then stood there and watched as Zek began an outraged speach that she didnt really pay attention to for half way through she began laughing at the situation. It was so funny to her she didnt know if she could handle it. |
"well.. most areas don't need them anymore, demons are either banished or stay in hiding... " He looked at Zek slightly when he spoke, though his father had been a odd one that was certain. "Very few know how to create them, so our world would be i a bit of a bind if another demonic gate appeared" Though that had been far too many years ago now, as far as he knew it wasn't possible to happen again. But .. there was always the chance.
He wasn't sure he trusted this one as he tried to keep a eye on her as she seemed to circle him a moment. Though he wouldn't have guessed her next action as she kissed his cheek suddenly and seemed to stay there a moment whispering to him. Though as soon as she let go his ears went back and he stepped back from her. "Thats hardly what i meant!" He growled at her. "I mean take the damn dagger and kill me, you already tried to so whats the sudden change of mind now?" Though he quickly noticed she wasn't listen to him as he huffed a little before grabbing his weapon and shooting both of them a glare. "I'll be back later" He hissed out before walking out of the door and slamming it behind him. Vaden stood there a few moments before speaking finally. "well... guess that test will have to wait... " He laughed slightly, though whatever she had done or said to him before it was rather odd to see Zek turn down any sort of a taunt from a female. He was hardly amused as he grumbled half of the way to a small training court that was at the far end of the town. "tsk.. bitch.. who the hell does she think she is!" He hissed to himself before picking one of the targets and readying his weapon for a strike, there was never anyone here anyway so it didn't matter if he let lose for once. |
Elvara laughed and slowly stopped with her hands around her gut "Oh my that was just to easy and good" She said with a smile. She then looked to Vaden "Thank you very much for allowing me to stay here" She said with a smile "Though it would seem that your grandson and I have something to deal with before we stay within the same comfines as the other one" She said with a smile and a nod and with that she left the house and Vaden standing there alone.
It was not hard to fallow the male for his speaking to himself could be heard for a mile away. Leaning on a tree she watched as he struck down the targets with ease. Why dose he seem so fluent now when before he seemed like a child? She wanted to test her theory so lightly removing the two blades from her back she gave a smile. Walking through the trees around the feild the male didnt give notice to her as she slipped quietly through the darkness of shade. Now...she thought as the male charged forward at a target. That is when she made her move. Moving forward she gave a growl as there blades cloided "Give me a real fight" She said forcing him back before charging at him again. It was a playfull taunt. Not one that was ment to anger the male. |
He nearly seemed to flinch as the sound of metal upon metal rang out. Though his expression stayed the same as he pulled his pole arm back from her blades. "and you accuse me of following you?" He seemed to withdraw altogether from even trying to fight her, the form and everything as soon as he noticed he was faced against someone seemed to die in mere seconds.
"Don't you have something better to do then to bother me, damn I can't even have my last few days of freedom without having some bother" He sighed a little before he tried to walk away from her. He wasn't going to give her the fight she wanted, though he had his reasons. In his mind they were damn good ones. Why was she following him anyway he wasn't going to fricken bother her, hell he was trying to give her space. Though she didn't seem to want said space. Even as he started to walk away from her she seemed to follow him her blades still drawn as she walked. He stopped a few feet from the edge of the training yard and sighed heavily. "Look.. im not fighting you, you were the damned one that said a mere few days ago no one should strike a woman." |
Elvara snorted when the male before her stopped and began walking away. She meerly fallowed behind him with her swords still drawen and ready for an attack. Then his words struck out and she smiled "But what if...that female asked for it?" With that she sheathed one black back and moved her hand infront of her in a sweeping motion.
With a smile she snapped her fingers and watched as the shadows from the trees began to dance and move on there own. Comming up off of the ground they headed right for Zek. One grbbing a leg and another grbbing the weapon trying to pry it from the males hand. Thats when she appeared before him with a simple jump over the males head. Striking out with her blade she forced him back. "Come one...entertain me!" She said with a smile. |
"Tsk... damn it I said no!" He growled at her before a sudden spark of fire seemed to swirl around his weapon and his free hand, though for the moment they were mere embers and gave off very little heat. He just needed to keep himself free.
"Whats ti matter if I fight you, it proves nothing so back off!" He warned her though with the sudden embers that flicked in and out of existence his eyes seemed to change in color a little from the light blue they were before to having a mix of red in them. Though he still didn't bother to strike at her as he kept defending himself against her strikes. What the hell was her problem?! He kept thinking as he avoided each strike and tried to stay away from her what seemed to be shadow magic. Sure he knew drows lived to fight but this was ridiculous.. why couldn't more be like Vaden and just have a damn hobby. |
Elvara then stopped suddenly placing her blade away and she gave a shrug "It dosent matter" She said to him with a little smile and a nod of her head "Either way you told me exactly what I needed" And with that she simplyt turned and began to walk away. All she wanted was to see if the male before her had strength that she could use.
And it was true that he did. Before she began her attack on him she stood and watched him take down one dummy after another with glee. And now that he was faced with an actual blade the will to fight was no longer there. It seemed weird to her but she shrugged it off "Besides..." She said "Its no fun fighting a pussy" With that she walked away and headed back to Vaden. |
After she started to walk away he growled a bit as his ears went back and he directed his attention towards a target that was still standing and flicked his hand towards it as a sudden pillar of fire engulfed it and a small are around the target before dispersing and leaving the charred remains.
He then let a heavy sight out before he opened his eye again, they were back to the light blue that they normally were. He hated that woman. Whatever it was about her just got under his skin. He wasn't going to go back just yet, not till he knew he could keep his mouth shut, till she left anyway. Though her last insult was a bit harsh, just because he refused to fight he wasn't a pussy.. After she walked back in the door Vaden looked up from what he was doing, he knew where Zek had ran to. Though if she followed him he was a bit curious as to what she found out. "So how did your 'chat' go?" He asked rather causally as he went back to flipping through a book in one hand and writing something on a parchment with the other. |
Elvara looked to Vaden and gave a shrug of her shoulders "It was as to be expected" She said "He did nothing...not even when I attacked him" At that she got a weird look from Vaden and she just smiled "Either way I would like to retire for the night" She said. "So could you please show me a room" She asked 'Maybe even a bath?" Elvara said in a hopefull way.
|
He set the book down and nodded a little. "Theres a bath right next to the room, feel free. Whatever here is yours." He got her to follow him so he could show her to where the room was though he did have a few things to say as he walked. "if your trying to fight him then I'd give up, he's fully trained. He refuses to fight for his own reasons, though it's not my place to say them."
After a few moments and going up a set of stairs he stopped and pointed out the washroom and the room. "it should be fully stocked, and if you do happen to need anything I'm right down stairs." He started to walk away but stopped a moment and looked back at her. "don't worry he's downstairs as well, though as your warning he normally sleeps on the sofa." With that last little bit he walked back down, he needed to get to finishing up the paper he was working on. Whatever the document was it seemed important enough. After another few hours when it was pretty much dark outside Zek bothered to come back, he figured if anything the 'princess' would be in bed or doing whatever and would leave him the hell alone. tough from the looks of things Vaden had stepped out. Though he knew the old man well enough he probably went to the tavern as usual. Propping his weapon against a wall he stretched a little before pulling his shirt off and flopping back onto the sofa. Personally he just didn't like the bedrooms here cause they seemed to keep heat more then any part of the building. After a moment he moved and laid down with his feet propped on one of the armrests of the sofa. Maybe he'd at least get some sleep, maybe if he was damned lucky he could get rid of the female or at least get her to leave him alone. |
Elvara nodded her thanks and went into the room. Taking off her swords she laid them propped up on the bed. Her daggers she placed on the pillow and her axe she laid on the table beside the bed. Stertching she removed her belt, and her shoes. Taking the pouch off her waist and setting it on the floor she left the room and headed for the bathroom.
Entering the room she closed the door and ran herself a bath. The hot water soon filled the room and she sighed removing her clothes. Getting into the tub she ducked her head under the water before slicking her long bangs back and resting her head on the back of the tub. Her mind was going over the events of the day. Not only that but the thought of the male named Zekrak. Why did he seem so interesting to her. Elvaras ears dropped a little at the thought that she couldnt wrap around. |
He had fallen asleep once though he yawned slightly as he looked out of a window it was pitch black outside. "ugh.. damn it.." he complained before moving and walking across the room. He was going to use the restroom downstairs but needless to say it had been turned into a storage closet. He grumbled a little before walking upstairs paying little to no attention to the fact he spare room was empty, thus meaning she wasn't in it.
The door had managed to come up a little, the downside to old buildings. He started walking into the room his mind not grasping that the light was on. Though after a few seconds he stopped in his tracks with the woman in the tub, it seemed she was asleep .. in the tub... His ears dropped a little, he was torn between getting her out of the tub before she drowned or leaving her there so she might drown. Really it was a sight he didn't want to see from the start. |
Elvara was in the tub awhile before she had fallen asleep. Really it couldnt be helped. The hot water combined with the steam and relaxation. Not only that but she found some bathing oil on the side of the tub that filled the room with the light scent of lillies. Her favorite.
Elvaras head wsa resting on the side of the tub while one arm rested over her chest. Though she was deep with in sleep she felt a pair of eyes on her and slowly her bright green eyes blinked open and she stared at the male before her who seemed to be staring at her. Elvara didnt move, nor did she blink. She was in shock. The next movements came natural and she screamed "PERVERT!" before reaching for the nearest thing and throwing it at the male pagging him off in the head. Item after item she threw until he ran from the room closing the door behind him. |
