the book lay there untouched and unshelved, looking as if it had always been there.

Poggio 09-20-2011 10:01 PM

Behind him, Robin pulled a cart along. His thin frame easily slid past most of the other patrons as he put book after book after book in their rightful home. He was only a college work study away his time at the library. Robin hummed as he worked, it was an odd little tune to hear against the library's silence. Every once in a while he would chortle at the title of a book as he put it back in its place.

As Robin neared the end of a row, he picked up a book noticing it didn't have a call number. He glanced around wondering what hooligan was playing a joke on him. He flipped to the back of the book hoping to find its call number. However all he could see written in the back of the book was the words the end. He chuckled again amusingly. He flipped to the front looking for the authors name and title but couldn't find any. Instead, his eyes scanned over the chapter heading as he read allowed. “Chapter one, Little Red Ridding Hood.”

littl3chocobo 09-20-2011 10:02 PM

it woke up.

Poggio 09-20-2011 11:26 PM

He walked, reading the book, unaware that his environment around him was changing. He flipped through the pages reading to himself aloud. “Once upon a time there was a young studious boy...” He paused wasn't little red a girl? He continued to walk with his nose in the book, only stopping to realize he had walked into a white void. He spun in a circle seeing nothing but white. Robins heart beat quickened and the book slipped from his fingers. Causing him to jump.

littl3chocobo 09-20-2011 11:27 PM

whose mother had asked him to take wine and bread to his poor sick grandmother who lived deep in the woods

Poggio 09-20-2011 11:39 PM

Robin bent down picking up the book, listening to the narration. As he walked the world changed again. Before him there was a little cottage and a woman that looked a like his mother. He jumped but had no time to process the thought as she quickly pressed a basket in Robins hand. She grinned pushing a few locks of snowy hair out of Robins hair. “Please take this to your grandmother. What ever you do don't stray from the path.” She kissed him on the cheek disappearing back into the house. Robin accepted the basket. His eyes traveled around till it found a path. He opened the book to continue to read, as he walked down the path.

littl3chocobo 09-20-2011 11:44 PM

he was known by all the villagers as little red, as he passed through to the edges of the villiage the hunter who lived in the woods near his grandmother stopped little red on his way"what ever you do don't stray from the path" he said

Poggio 09-20-2011 11:56 PM

He continued down the path not aware that he had been passing through the village as the voice narrated. When he got to the edge of the village he looked up finding the path again. Soon his nose had dove back into the book. His feet took one step to many into the thick bush. He looked up again spying an apple tree with some of the most luscious gala apples he had seen. For some reason his mind thought his grandmother would loved some of them, as well as his stomach. He set the book down and started climbing up the thick branches to get the apples.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 12:00 AM

but three times little red strayed. once to pick apples for his poor sick grandmother

Poggio 09-21-2011 12:07 AM

Once he had his apples he scampered back on to the path, soon his attention was drawn towards some roses. He thought those were would have been lovely for his grandmother. He returned to the path sticking on in his hair, the rest went into his basket. The third time he strayed his throat was parched. Robin traveled off the the beaten path this time to find water. He stopped at a stream peering into the crystal blue waters. Grinning he pressed his lips against the water sucking up the the water.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 12:22 AM

the third time he strayed he came across a great black wolf, bzou, "little red" said bzou, "why do you wander from the path?" he sat beside little red his great tail swishing "you know the great demon wolf bzou lives in these woods. he is as large as a house and if he sees you he will gobble you right up" bzou licked his fur while he waited for little red's reply

Poggio 09-21-2011 01:08 AM

Robin chuckled. He brought his head up from the water looking at the wolf with brown mirthful eyes. “But the water is so good.” He said using his sleeve to wipe his mouth. “It is worth straying from the path.” He sat back on his legs. Looking at the wolf. He reached out to touch the wolf but didn't touch it, he just grinned. “I haven't see a demon.” Then he reached out and pet the wolf. “I must be off. My grandmother is expecting me. I will be safe from Bzou at her house. It is near here. Thank you for the warning.” As a thank you he reached inside his basket breaking off some of the bread and giving it to the wolf before standing to go back to the path.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 01:15 AM

bzou let the child touch and feed him for he was patient for his dinner. he followed behind the boy for a way then running beside but not on the path he ran beside little red. soon he called out "little red, little red, would you stop for a moment, i hear something ahead of us. it could be bzou, you should wait here while i go check"

Poggio 09-21-2011 01:21 AM

Robin nodded naively trusting in the strange animal. He hopped it wasn't Bzou, he loved his grandmother and would hate if anything stopped him from getting to the woman. He paced in a circle watching the wolf go, but some what inching behind him.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 01:23 AM

bzou leaped into a deep thicket, he yapped and snarled and yips, he rolled himself in the dirt and when he was sure the child would believe he had got in a fight he leaped back out like a bullet. "i saw bzou. but i fought him and now he is gone. may i walk with you for a bit until i gather my breath?"

Poggio 09-21-2011 01:33 AM

A small sigh of relief escaped Robins lips. As a reward for his bravery Robin gave the wolf the rest of the bread. “of course” he answered. “my hero must have a name,” He said reaching out to pet the wolf again and handing him the bread. “since you saved me you don't have to call me little red, my name is Robin.” He felt the wolf had earned the right to know his real name.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 01:42 AM

bzou smiled the best he could without alarming the boy, robin. they walk a little farther until they were almost to grannies house, the bzou stopped suddenly. "do you hear that?" he said "i hear something, robin, stay here, hide alongside the road and if i am not back in five minutes run as fast as you can to your grannie's house for if i do not come back then the demon bzou will have surly eaten me" bzou then tore off into the bushes surrounding the path, a great racket and din could be heard then silence.

Poggio 09-21-2011 02:07 AM

His heart dropped. He paced around the path. How long was five minutes? Robin didn't know. He simply took off bounding for his grandmothers house. Once he saw the small cottage in the distance his heart dropped. The door was slightly ajar and he couldn't hear anything. Had bzou gotten his grandmother and his new friend. Quickly Robin rushed to the cottage. He let out a small cry once viewing the destruction inside. “Nanna!”

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 02:18 AM

bzou had rushed straight over to little red's destination and ate up the poor old woman, he dressed in her clothes and hid under the bedcovers. when he heard little red come in he called out in his best old woman voice "little red is that you? i am so afraid. a monster tore through my home looking to gobble me up. a brave wolf gave his life to sate the beast and saved my life. but i am afraid he will come back, lock the latch key and the shutters please so he cannot get in"

Poggio 09-21-2011 02:34 AM

Robin rushed to do as he was told, even picking up fallen chairs as he made his way into the room. He gazed at his grandmother a little dejected. “I guess Bzou ate my friend.” He said under his breath, but he was happy that his grandmother lived. “I brought you apples and roses.” He put the basket down on the side of her bed. Looking around the room to find a vest. Once he finished he sat on the bed beside his grandmother lying his hand on her forehead. Robin leaned in placing a gentle kiss on his grandmothers fore head. "I also brought you roses, and bread though I gave most of the loaf to a friend that saved me." While his head was close to his grandmothers, he inhaled the pungent smell of blood. It made his brows furrow. He pulled back a little. "Did Bzou hurt you?"

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 03:03 AM

bzou smiled in the gloom and linens "no my sweet it was the wolf who was hurt. child please climb into bed with me i am still upset from before" little red crawled into the bed reluctantly. "little red please come closer" the child slid closer. "closer still my pet, you are too far away" the child got closer still, until he was almost in the wolfs arms. "my sweet" he whispered to the child "bzou is still hungry" and with that he devoured the little boy whole

Poggio 09-21-2011 03:19 AM

Robin fought but the darkness pulled him, but drowning in death he woke up, panting on the library floor. He gotten his breathing under control. He didn't know how long he had been asleep but he called a security guard to let him out. After a quick scolding Robin returned to his dorm forgetting that he was holding the book.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 03:30 AM

jerial was half asleep on the couch his laptop blinking a dying battery at him when the other slammed the door open. he clicked the laptop closed ans stretched his arms. it was too late for naps. he decided to go to bed. he pushed his laptop into the couch and trudged in the diection of the tiny room they shared, the dorm rooms were three room affair a bathroom a bedroom and the rest of it was the general living space, he flopped into his bed and watched as the other boy flailed about on his own side of the room just long enough to get himself comfortable, then he went back to sleep

Poggio 09-21-2011 03:41 AM

Robin heard the other boy, but didn't see him. Like a mouse he had already scurried away. It was just as well since Robin wanted to steal some of his food. Before heading to his room he surfed the refrigerator, grabbing an unlabeled apple and soda, using its lack of name to justify taking it. He tossed the book on his desk quickly eating his food and shimmying out of his clothing into his pajamas's. Instead of doing his homework he was drawn into the world of fantasy again flipping past chapter one and into chapter two: Cinderella.

littl3chocobo 09-21-2011 03:53 AM

(you had to pick one i didn't know^^: ok, you get the musical version)

there once was a boy, his mother had died when he was young and he father sought to get remarried, he picked a wife lovely of face but cruel of personality. she disallowed him to be part of the family and instead kept him as a slave, he cleaned all day and slept in the hearth ashes at night earning him the name of cinder-robin

Poggio 09-21-2011 04:00 AM

( If its into the woods then I accept, out side of that theres the version where she goes to three different balls or the Disney version. But my favorite is Ever After. I love that movie. Though I do like it when the sisters cut off their toes and heels. )

Cinder robin awoke from the floor with ashes on his face. He quickly went about his chores determined to have most of them finished by the time his step family awoken. As the sun rose Robin had did every thing his mother asked of him on a daily basis. While his family ate their breakfast in the dinning room. Robin heard a knock on the door. A messenger had invited all the children of the house to a Royal ball. He turned to give the news to his step mother, feeling her wrath even in the form of excitement.

littl3chocobo 09-23-2011 08:47 AM

his step mother was not please and did not want the child to go "you may go" his step mother said picking up a large bowel of lentils from the table. "only if you pick these lentils from the fireplace and there had better not be a single speck of ashes on them" she cast them into the ashes, and laughing, she left to get her daughters ready for the ball

Poggio 09-25-2011 12:05 PM

Robin narrowed his eyes as his mother told him the conditions for going to the ball. He started then stopped. Some where is mind said screw it. If this was a dream he was going to control it. He waited until his step siblings and mother jubilantly left the room laughing at his misfortune. Slowly Robin dusted his hands clean of the ash and left the house. He was going to find his own way into the ball come hell or high water. Robin marched into town to get a good look at the castle. It would be very easy to sneak in as a page boy or a maid.

littl3chocobo 09-25-2011 12:14 PM

something is wrong!? the book adjusted itself, the story must continue.

the sun set as the castle opened it's door to those invited into the ball, the gold of the sun reflected the silver of the great and shining hall

Poggio 09-25-2011 01:11 PM

Robin had little time to set his plan in motion. Of course his mother ridiculed him for not picking the lentils out of the fire and banished him from joining them. As the sun set, Robin ran through the nearly empty streets climbing over the wall in the castle's fence he discovered earlier. He shimmied up a vine and flopped on to a balcony. After a quick survey he realized he was alone. It was his unfortunate luck to have stumble upon a ladies room. Since Robin had done his sisters make up time and time again, he quickly made himself a disguise before joining the people. From up stairs he watched the dancing people contently.

littl3chocobo 09-25-2011 01:18 PM

the prince of the kingdom was beautiful and vain, but his charm could raise roses in winter for it's warmth. this ball was to celebrate is ascension to adulthood and an attempt to find him a wife. in his arrogance he turned down all those who came before him in the traditional manner. he chose however to cede to his parent's wishes under the condition that he be allowed three nights to find her. he was the first-born and only son so he was allowed this breech of decorum.

he, the prince, looked out to his people, beauties far and wide had gathered for this event, all eyes were on him

Poggio 09-25-2011 01:27 PM

Robin did not have eyes for the prince. This was his only royal shindig he was most likely to go too. He rushed down the stairs. He may have had the appearance of a female but he lacked the grace. As soon as he hit the third step Robin began to tumble forward in the heels he had chosen falling down the stairs. As he was being helped up by guards, Robin took his shoes off handing them to the man. He marched across the ball room to a table full of delicious food, plucking something covered in chocolate for his mouth to savior.

littl3chocobo 09-25-2011 01:32 PM

the prince watched as a beauty in ill fitting dress fell down the main stair. he was shocked but intrigued, how did this mystery person make it to the top before falling, why did they dress as his mother's mother would have and what possesd them to ignore him, the prince? he elegantly parted himself from the ladies who constantly surrounded him and made his way through the crowds, the twitters of the men and women who had seen the display were loud and dispairing, he finally made it to the other and introduced himself

Poggio 09-25-2011 01:41 PM

Robin turned to the man who had come to talk to him. He just stared at him for a moment with a mouth full of chocolate. Having never seen the prince before he didn't understand he was in the presence of greatness. “Hello.” He said spitting out a bit of the chocolate onto the mans jacket. He immediately started to clean the smudge out of years of training. He swallowed before continuing talking. “Its nice to meet you Jerial...” he paused looking up. Why did that name sound so familiar? He ignored his gut. “You should try these.” Robin offered the man a chocolate covered tart.

littl3chocobo 09-25-2011 01:46 PM

(chokes a bit, jeez, too funny)

his beauty was not much in manners but up close her beauty outshone even the gold of the plate she was eating from, her gaze was strong but liquid, firm and direct, her jaw smooth and beautifully angled, her waist tapered thin, her hair was like snow and her breasts....nonexistent, he shook his head to clear his thoughts, his beauty was offering him a sweet, he took her arm at the elbow and lightly lifting it took the pastry with his teeth, leaving nothing but a kiss upon her fingers

Poggio 09-25-2011 01:53 PM

Robin stared at his hand as he took it back. The man must have been very hungry to nearly devour his hand. “I guess they don't feed you people much at these things.” He said more to himself as he looked over his hand. His fingers were electrified by the sensation of the kiss. He blushed not sure what he should do in return. “Thank you, I guess.” His attention was caught by the onslaught of his stepmother and siblings bounding over. He thought he was in trouble. Robin looked around for an escape, and saw a few dancing figures. How hard could twirling in circles be? He gave a small curtsy. “Would you like to dance?”

littl3chocobo 09-25-2011 01:58 PM

his heart raced. a dance with his beauty! he looked to the balcony where the royal musicians were poised, they began to play. he whirled hi beauty onto the floor her dress flaring out fetchingly, he was bewitched by her beauty. dipping her he pressed a hand to her...muscular back? he did not dwell on this inconsistency with other women he had been with, none were comparable to his beauty

Poggio 09-25-2011 02:13 PM

Robin laughed. This was so much fun no wonder the nobles did it. Though he lacked the grace to actually dance his partner made up for ever mistake he could possibly make. The man was strangely charming, and Robin found himself enamored by this. He had never gotten so much attention in his life. He did not want to let himself be lulled into a lie. Robin did not notice how much time had passed while he was gallivanting about with the man. The clock started to chime for midnight. Robin panicked breaking away from the young man. He made a mad dash for the door not knowing that each chime brought him back to consciousness. At the stroke of 12 he woke up searching for his alarm clock angrily. He lifted his head that was stuck to the page of his book. His stupid dream didn't even let him get a kiss.

( sorry for waking up but I feel bad leaving in the middle of a scene. I have to get ready for work now and wont be back on till later. )

littl3chocobo 09-25-2011 02:18 PM

(it's fine, i can use this<3 anyway you got two more nights and either way /i/ didn't even get a name hahahaha)
jerial was not the sort to meddle really but this was too much fun, robin was napping face-first in the book he brought home the night before and though it was an adorable sight, a thought quickly dismissed, to opertunity to pull a prank was too good to be ignored, he grabbed the old alarm clock the other kept by his bed and set it for midnight, three minutes. he put it back in it's place and went over to his own bed and laid down in a pantomime of sleep.
