Wicked's Quest.. Rune of the Week - Berkano

I need a place to hang my halo.

Mostly? This is where I'll post my goals
and track my progression toward those goals.

The best thing you could donate is your time.

Talk to me?

Wicked 09-10-2011 11:24 PM

Rune of the Week

Each week I will update this section (hopefully) with the rune of the week.

This Week's Rune

http://runesecrets.com/img/berkano-100x100.gif
Berkano

In honor of resurrecting my quest thread
I've chosen the rune Berkano as the Rune of the Week.

This rune represents a renewal.
New found dedication toward your endeavors.
New beginnings. Growth.

Rune for Runes

In order to raise some funds....
I'm offering Rune Readings at the cost of 1 Rune
(Trisphee Currency.)

The readings consist of my selecting three runes at random
from the bowl I keep them in. I will then assess how the runes relate
to one another and what it means to you.

I'll post or PM my analysis depending on your preference.

Keep in mind these things ought to be taken with a grain of salt.

If you want a reading and can't spare or don't have a rune?
No worries! Happy to do a reading for free. Just ask and I'll set it up.

Wicked 09-10-2011 11:32 PM

Acknowledgments and Affiliates

Some very sweet people have already donated to me.

I'd like to give them a shout out and wait..
do people still say "shout out" or am I dating myself?

Oh well.

Never said I was "hip" or "with it" and OK now I know I'm dating myself.

Except you might totally maybe get some.

If you hang around long enough and/or your avatar inspires me
I'll try and put something together.

Could be a painting, a sketch, a collage. I don't know.
Just please, please don't be too mad if I can't do your avvie.
And don't pester me about it.

This is why I don't have a shop or anything.

THREAD OPEN - LET'S GET POSTIN'

Espy 09-10-2011 11:52 PM

-rolls in to steal the thread's virginity-

-mischievous grin-

So, I was gonna buy you a jacket, when I realized, "Oh. Well, shit. I've only got 300 Au" x___X;

Wicked 09-10-2011 11:57 PM

Sheesh. Call me tomorrow, virginity stealer?
I kid of course. Wasn't saving it or anything.

The jacket? Noooo. Don't buy it! I want to earn it.
Thank toast you're broke. Don't buy it for meeeeeeeeee.

Espy 09-10-2011 11:58 PM

Well, I'm also saving up for the ADI when it comes out, too. (Why do they call it and ADI anyways? It's not a "donation item" if it's for Aurum.)

Wicked 09-11-2011 12:00 AM

What are we talking about, sweetie?
Is it a Trisphee thing because then my best guess is because it's a donation item?

Edit: FFS you beat me to it.
Edit Again: I felt all clever too.

Espy 09-11-2011 12:01 AM

"Aurum Donation Item". It's like the MDI's in the Archaic Antiquities shop that cost Runes, but the ADI costs 2500 Aurum.

Wicked 09-11-2011 12:04 AM

So where are these ADI or where will be these things?
First I've ever heard about them.

Espy 09-11-2011 12:10 AM

They'll be in the Archaic Antiquities, too, when they're actually out.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 01:14 AM

Well, think about it Espy, 2500 Aurum is kind of like donating your time to get it.

I'll try to help you earn the Aurum to get your jacket, Wicked :3

Wicked 09-11-2011 01:14 AM

Steaksauce.

Sorry I disappeared.
Got off work and went on a mini grocery shopping trip.

Thanks Serra! That would be awesome.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 01:16 AM

I'm just watching Sucker Punch while I post. It's a ... random movie.

Wicked 09-11-2011 01:21 AM

Will the items be different than the "actual" donation items?
I'm just wondering because the idea of donating your time is super cool
and the very spirit of this quest thread but...

donating monies supports the site.

Speaking of, am so ticked! Walmart couldn't cash my check and they are the only place that could have until Monday. *headdesk* I need my money! I worked for it, it's mine, they need to give it to me. I wanted to put a little bit of money on my reloadable visa money card and donate. Not to mention the groceries and other stuff I need. Husband bought essentials - milk and candy to get us through.

I love how candy is an essential but it sooooo is.

I kind of figured it would be. We're getting ready to watch Hanna. Really not sure what it's about she;s a trained killer or something? Back of case says she was raised by her father, an ex CIA AGENT. Upbringing and training one and the same... perfect assassin... turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one.

Jason says he liked what he'd seen of it so far. So I'll watch.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 01:35 AM

I'm not familiar with Hanna.

How could Wal-Mart not cash your check? At the end of the day no less oO

And yes, candy is an ESSENTIAL.

Espy 09-11-2011 01:37 AM

There are three DI's total every month, 2 RDIs and 1 ADI. So, yeah, they're different items, but.....yeah. -can't explain stuff for shit-

Wicked 09-11-2011 01:39 AM

It's not their fault. The printer put the numbers up too high for the machine to read. Now, at the bank they just punch it in manually if the machine doesn't read but Walmart can't override the authorization. So I'm not mad at the them, or shouldn't be, but I can huff and puff about it.

Edit: Espy you're splaining it quite well actually. Thanks.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 01:47 AM

Ohhh, yes. Since Wal-Mart employs people without training them fully, they have to let the machines do all the work >.>; Nothing specifically against Wal-Mart (I used to work there) but if they took the time to train people well they wouldn't have as many problems.

Wicked 09-11-2011 01:51 AM

The cashier is a sweetie. We see her almost every week.
Her voice sounds like Alex Bornstein aka Lois Griffin on family guy.

Kind of sorta looks like Alex too but blonde.

This Hanna movie is BAD ASS!!
Highly recommend.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 02:14 AM

I'll try to look into it :3

Wicked 09-11-2011 02:26 AM

I like it a lot.

Two questions:
Were there different items in the token shop before now?
Will they be adding more?

I have lots of achievement tokens but I don't know
if I'll be able to make use of the peacock stuff.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 02:39 AM

The token stuff is the same as it's always been, except when achievements started there were three items that were sold as event items that aren't available anymore.

They have plans to add more but I don't know when it will be done. They said the peacock stuff will be permanently there, however.

Wicked 09-11-2011 02:47 AM

That's cool. Means it won't appreciate in value but s'alright.
I'm sure they'll add new stuffs if they said they would. We just gotta wait.

Ohmygoshlookatthekitteh
What item is the two tailed kitten?

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 02:52 AM

That's a Bakeneko. Was part of the Japan relief items. I'm sure some people still have it but it might be kind of expensive to get :/

And I have 6115 Anka Tokens xD I haven't bought much of the token items at all.

Wicked 09-11-2011 02:54 AM

Awww. I'm glad it was a charitable item. So cute.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 02:58 AM

I had just started on the site when it was released but I got lucky and managed to get one a little later by a kind soul. I try to use it somewhere on my avy always ♥

I'm getting sleepy so I'm off to bed. Good luck to you, Wicked ~

Wicked 09-11-2011 02:59 AM

Good night! Thanks for the luck and hanging out with me.

Sadrain 09-11-2011 04:05 AM

I didn't get first post? -sob-
Jk. xDDD

But looks like such a nice quest, good luck with it, I might send something on your way. xDD

Wicked 09-11-2011 04:20 AM

Rainy! *pop* First post or no this thread was your idea.
And thank you so much this hair is so cute. *primps*

Sadrain 09-11-2011 05:02 AM

xD Heh, glad you like it. C: This, and the hair (Chiriz?) you wore before are the ones I use the most, well, besides other two or three. xD
Hope you enjoy them. C:

Wicked 09-11-2011 05:07 AM

I will! I love that we can keep our hair in our invo and switch with just a click rather than visit a "salon" *cough*

Sadrain 09-11-2011 07:48 AM

Yeah, I think it is very nice, too. xD Mene at least had hair for free. xDD

Feythfull 09-11-2011 09:35 AM

*pops in* hello Wicked how is your quest coming along?

Wicked 09-11-2011 06:28 PM

Pretty good, thanks! I got a teensy bit distracted with hair so my current funds for the jacket are around 1500 au. So! Just about 500 left to earn and I'll have finished my first quest!

I dunno what my second quest will be just yet. One of the yearlies maybe? Assuming I can find someone interested in selling for Aurum. Then again maybe I shouldn't "quest" for those because if I can ever get my check cashed I'll be donating and might just buy direct.

I'm really in love with that Bakeneko but Serra Britt thinks it will be really hard to find sellers. Then again, it's a quest! Adventure and obstacles abound.

Feythfull 09-11-2011 07:25 PM

Yes the Bakeneko is hard to come by. I had one and sold it for something I wanted. All the Japan Items are hard to come by.

Serra Britt 09-11-2011 08:11 PM

The last four Japan Relief items are the hardest to find just because they got released late. I think the Kitsune was one of those four too, and it's a shame because I've started wanting one.
