What Creates Your Avatar?
 

I've noticed that I always use nothing but Events and Donation Items for my avatars. Unsurprising since that's where all my money goes really. It's amazing how many things can be made with them. And that's just my creativity! This avatar right now has only 5 commons: belt boots, earring, mouth, hair, and corset.

Another thing that creates my avatars are the colors. I seem to be limited to blue, red, green, and gold with only a few interruptions. Most dramatically my two pink avatars haha.

What about you guys? What seems to be a theme between so many of your avatars that tie them together?

boxer shorts and either the color white or black, that is the reacurring theme i keep, though i like using my kodachi as much as i can

Hmmm for me I use it all cause well I cosplay to much so I need a mix of both comms and event along with donation.

My avi only has 12 commons as well: female boxers (hard to see), Knee High Socks, Tall Boots, Pandora Gloves Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Patience Hair, Eyebrows, Earring (hard to see), and the sash.

Seems a lot, but it's mixed into the outfit so sometime it's hard to see unless I point it out.

my last avie only had facial feature and hair commons...oh, and the bra...this one is all commons 'cept the critters. Most of the time I'll use anything if it helps the cosplay LOL

what Jacket is that fey? the reason why I'm asking is because of the sleeve design

It's a Solar Kingdom and a Businessman's Jacket layered together.

I don't really have a theme or anything.

But I still don't like my avatar...but there are no items in shops I want/don't have. So there isn't much I can do about it right now.

I just make sure to never cover my cat ears, and I also use my Bakeneko for everything, one way or another. Other than that, I just use whatever happens to look nice at the time. Well, for now the moon is a permanent addition too.

I really like layering socks on my avatars. Colors I use have to correlate with each other and I love finding new ways to make outfits out of any of the items here. The base was nicely done and I can actually see what my avatar is wearing and the details in the pixellated clothing. It's easier to work with layering and everything when I can see every detail on my avatar. Small bases and limited layering don't seem to cut it for me anymore..

I like the the gray spectrum with red thrown in. The most common color to see me in is black and white. Most of my items are common with the excepton of my hair piece and tail.

I like doing more theme like avatars, It doesn't matter if its a monthly,yearly, common, or event, as long as it fits the theme I want to go for. Right now it looks thrown together because I don't like looking naked. I'm hoping to go with a look of the deathless since I read up on the race, and it kinda fits my personality in some aspects. Plus it looks very appealing. ^^

So far, my avi is composed of corrupted bundle, the free items in the shop and a few donation items. they're not all really noticeable because of the clever layering

I use mostly event and donation items but there are a few commons in there as well other then my head there is usually at least 1 or 2 commons in all my avis the rest will be donation and event items.
My avi always has either winter royalty base or one of the yearly bases. I never use natural skin tones lol

I rarely use commons unless I am cosplaying xD

I've been using a lot of events but that's mainly because those are the only items I have? lol ^^;

I tend to use a lot of wings and halo items as well. I'm very much into themed avatars too so thats where my avatar ideas and creations come from.

I usually have a theme going on when picking out an outfit

Now mines Becoming a theme, now to save up the other 3k to get that queen set on the pearls set, >.>

Here is an example of one of my green avatars I just made (as of this post). Two people say I look like Toph. Not my intention at all. I was just building off a green corset (which I ended up not using) and this is what I ended up with. Funy how that happened. All I have to do is make a couple tweaks and I supposed I'll really be more like Toph...most notably the skin tone. Toph is MUCH lighter than this. xD

Notice the only commons I have on are the eyes, mouth, two hairs, mesh shirt, mesh pants, and green dragon gown skirt. The rest are Events or Monthlies. Totaling 6 items. Less than the commons but only 3 of the commons are unnecessary. I tend like having hair and a face. xD

Mine have all been donation and event items I bought in the market place or earned, however I'm missing a few since my absence. Commons? What's that?

My outfit is mostly commons in black, grey, white, or red. My gloves and necklace are not, however, commons. I don't think my hair is either.

@Sushi: commons are stuff you buy in the regular shops.

@Darky: Nope. What you are wearing is Dyten's hair. One of my favorites. I'm having to force myself NOT to use it. xD

Thanks, Jurinjo. Normally even my hair is common but for my male avatar I think this hair look much better on him then my normal white and grey ones.

I use almost all event/donation items for my avis. Mostly cause I'm none too fond of commons. I also almost always have black on. They tend to be like Black + red/blue/purple/white. I don't have many colors outside that. But I want more white in my wardrobe to make a lighter avi once in awhile.

Mostly event items and a few commons ~ I actually find I rarely use my DIs xD
Although in every one there's at least one pose I love and a few I can't do without.

Oh and the color black makes up a lot of my avatars lmao

I'm now starting to add more commons to my outfit since I do have help in my thread. I can do all common outfits but it just would be harder to do it since the majority of my inventory are the non common items

My current avatar and the one shown above are both center around the same thing: corruption. First being a nature wizard. And the second a light elf corrupted by..dark magic? drow society? Yeah I think the second would be very interesting to make him racist against his own kind. At first the shattered skin effect was the darkest one. But I find that skin tone and that shade is more pleasing to the eyes (not that aesthetic is really a goal for the power hungry).
