Rusty Hearts
 

It's currently in closed beta but I've been enjoying it so far. Really simple battle system but I still enjoy it. Of course it has the gender locked characters and as usual there are only boy choices for melee...but I'll deal with it as I can't play mage/ranged as well as I do for melee :p

Has anyone else given this a try? If so, what do you think of it? It reminds me of CastleVania quite a lot, and not just because of the vampires :p

My CB key never came in my e-mail T_T but i know ill be playing that as well as Dragons nest and DFO

I tried it for a bit but just couldn't get into it. xD the dungeons were fun though, and I loved the mages, but I'd prefer games with more customization. Everything else just seemed.. boring~

I have to admit the customization...or lack of it...bothers me a bit. Really, the only thing you can do to make your avatar look unique is to craft or buy fashion items, you have absolutely no options to change them in the beginning. And as of yet I haven't had any problem buying ALL the skills and I'm level 17. I do like the game but I'll admit some of these things get to me.

That's not too bad. I haven't really gone far. just to level.. 4?

I'm level 18. I think the CBT caps at level 20. I really hope the server will be more stable though, I get some random lag and sometimes the party breaks because I don't connect to the dungeon server while my beloved does...so she's in the dungeon alone while I'm stuck in town.

They went to OBT and unfortunately it now has a lot of bugs since they added more servers. I enjoy it a lot as it's basically CastleVania online...even if I do have to play as a boy since I don't like playing Angela at all.

The games alright but sucks when ur friends aren't around to Play as it is with all dungeon crawlers

I agree with you, Night. Playing with friends is funner. Actually, playing with friends makes anything funner.

I don't enjoy online games much unless I at LEAST have someone to talk to, or in the case of these action ones, someone to play with. This one I still only get to play with one person, but still...more fun than soloing. :3

Is it free? Do I have to download things to play it?

There is a download. And it is free, at the very least, I was able to get to level 20 in CBT without needing a single things from the cash shop.

i tried it, but I never like playing in Closed beta, cause all the hard work gets deleted afterwards.
Now I might try it again, but I dunno. Gets a little repetative. And I wish we had more character customization options. But oh well.
Maybe if I could get a friend or two into it...

i simply love the game
and i chose for frantz as my main character xD

though they have recently released natasha,
so might try her out aswell, and who knows.. maybe she'll be my new main character xD

but i don't actually think so, as i just love frantz.

I tried Tude, Frantz, and Natasha, and I have to say I enjoy Frantz the most :p

I like Axe Frantz a lot but I recently made another one to be sword, we'll see how that goes.

I like frantz a lot cause he is fancy but i like how tude plays better

I really enjoyed the character introduction on the website for Frantz. A civilized partial vampire who uses a sword, but uncivilized enemies sometimes require an uncivilized weapon, so he uses an axe as well. XD

I'm always a speed build, so I went with Tude and never switched.

I thought about playing it but I don't remember why it put me off. I think it's the one with 3 characters and you have to pick one :/

There's four now...and yeah, lack of customization sometimes puts me off, but in the case of RH, it's not too bad.

I might check it out while I'm waiting for EE to patch up their launcher.

If you like the #D CastleVania games at ALL it's highly likely you'd enjoy Rusty Hearts. I do miss the customization but the gameplay and humorous storyline are wonderful to me.

I did manage to download the japanese game but I'm stuck in delphi forest with no teleporters.

I tried it, liked it somewhat, but I never stay on betas and stuff. Now I prefer Vindictus over it, if I have to chose and am in mood for such MMO's. :D It has also got more free character customization, which is quite important to me and better graphics in general.
But to Rusty Hearts fans... It's not too bad of a game, I suppose. xD

-strangles sadrain- I can't get Vindictus to work on my PC. Or, more rather, I can't find the launcher xD

You can't find the launcher on your PC? XD I would suggest going to start menu and just typing 'Vindictus' in, or finding the folder it is installed in, trough search, and manually creating a short cut on desktop.
Sounds like lot of work, but actually isn't. C:

I know, it was the same for me (about shortcut), too, but I could find it in my start up, when I looked up "Vindictus". O: I install all games to special folder, so I can't give you link to where it would be located, but I am SURE it exists.

i just love the way he fight with an axe LOL

EE = Eden Eternal. It's a great game ^^ You can be any class and all that. I always recommend it.

Right now there is a serious problem with the final patch in the launcher. Not everyone has the problem (unlike me =_=) but they are working on a permanent fix to it.

You can, if you have problems, always download the Japanese launcher. In my experience- you probably won't be able to teleport anywhere.

I played Eden Eternal in Closed Beta. xD
It was fun, but dungeons were too hard, for the most part. xD
And then I got bored of idea doing all the low lvl quests againnnn in Open Beta. xD
