An Item Color Prediciment
 

I normally wouldn't bring this to users or even decide to ask users about it. It has really been increasingly hard to pick colors for one of our August DI's. We have narrowed it down to 6. The item is something we have never done before, and I just can't possibly narrow it down to 3 recolors.

So I guess the question is for this one August DI, how would the users feel about getting 6 recolors for it?

HELL YES! =D lol i'd love that many recolors.
but i know how much work you go through so if its too strenuous,
i say toss the colors into a hat and pick out 3.

Espy gives you a thumbs up, but it worried that you'll overwork yourselves.

That sounds like a wonderful idea to me! Espy is right, though; don't overwork yourselves too much.

If it was to much work guys I wouldn't be asking. 6 recolors is not as hard as the pixeling. Not to mention I can toss the recoloring to someone else besides myself. I may pixel up a storm but I haven't been recoloring all that much lately.

Im talking about anyone who comes in to help me <.< Besides at least this time Id be giving you a list of colors not saying HEY LUCID go do this, oh yeah you have to pick colors to.

If the workload is not an issue, then let me give a more accurate portrayal of my feelings...

Picking colors is the fun part, it's saving 18 million preview images that's tough. XD

Depends on the item really, as long as the item remains high in quality I don't mind more recolors.

I will have to teach you my quick system.

It's always hard to tell with you. I thought you'd like Loki best out of this month's but you liked Idunn better.

Oh wow, only do that if you think you should/can. Sounds daunting.
I would think of the three best colors and make those first, then if you feel like it make the other three? That way you can be more flexible in what you're able to have ready by release time instead of giving yourself a set number to work on and finish.

That said, I'd freaking love six colors...

Do take into consideration how having 6 colors will affect the item's prices in the market, folks.

I can't imagine there ever being a problem with more colours in of an item, or are we talking more colours on each single item rather than one item bit coming in several colours?

Either way, I'm fine, and I figure it's up to whatever you guys feel like doing.

More recolors of an item. Most DIs come in 3 different color schemes. We're asking how you feel about more color options for one item. It likely won't happen again.

that would be pretty freaking sweet to get so many more options. I generally LOVE all the DIs here, so it'd be awesome if one of the items matched even MORE things...

Honestly it depends how well those colors go with pre-existing colors. I know every one is all gun-ho for more colors but I pretty much thought the DIs had a color palette of 3 sets of colors

Eh with out my mumbling I guess what I mean to say is quality over quantity.

Actually we're trying NOT to make all of the DIs fall into the same color palettes and we're kicking ourselves a little bit for the lack of variety.

Anyway, we have a set of palettes we always use (over a hundred, but it's an established set) so our items should always match each other.

Honestly, I like that we have over 100 colors in the palette 8D More colors to choose from. As long as the colors are ones that are used often and correlate well with popular items it would be really cool. Maybe one of every color of the rainbow so everyone is happy? But mixed with black and white so they're not just one solid color.

I'm assuming the items will be just they way they always are, just with more colours. Like I said before, I don't really see much of a negative here as far as the users go, unless there are people who are indecidive and don't want the extra choices. ;)
