Fight or Flight
Flight of Fancy has taken up another extension, and name, in the battle for freedom!
er..I mean, in this war, thingy. Not to associate myself with an-oh, nevermind it! Down with the Queen, mates. Rebels, gather round, free drinks for you all. Loyalists, feel free to enter, and prepare for double prices. One thing I WILL ask, is that there be no fighting in the bar. Now, if you want to go OUTSIDE, right in front of that large window where we can all watch, feel free. |
<~Rules~>
1 - ToS. Duh 2 - I mean it, feel free to fight, just RP going to the viewing area XD Sparring, murder, w/e 3 - No murdering someone without their permission ooc >.< 4 - RP is highly encouraged. 5 - Rebel Pride folks~ 6 - Anyone is welcome here, as I don't like to discriminate, just know that I support the Rebels. |
Have you something soothing for one who has seen enough blood for the time being?
*smiles and waits right outside the window*
Aye, I do. Not sure about telling you what's in it, but it will ease the pains not only in your sword-arm, but on your spirit. *goes into a room towards the left of the bar, appears a couple of minutes later with a mug full of a strange purple liquid, a leaf floating on top*
Chew the leaf, then drink. You should feel rested enough afterwards. *chills on the back of his neck* Is it just me, or does something feel.....watch-y? |
....
-slips past Asura and lurks in a corner- (Er...lunch. Be back later.) |
Well, that was a rather quick visit from Espy... Always good to see, though.
It is a sad day when no one wants to play with me.
*wanders off for a bit* |
I can always play >.>
Ah, can't we all? *grins at them both* Feel free to actually make conversation with your lowly bartender, eh?
*rides up to the bar on a black horse, pausing when nearing Asura*
A pleasant day to you, Asura. How are you today? |
Axel's emerald eyes shifted to the man in black, "Have we met?"
I do believe I've met none here but Reyoki there. Who appears to be trying to ride a horse into my bar.. *chuckles*
"Maybe you should take care of that then. It is rude for horses to be led into an establishment such as this."
((Actually, I was riding up to the bar as an establishment))
Well, as long as the horse is outside, I have no worries. However, if he chooses to bring the horse IN, I'll have to as kthe horse to order a drink, or exit. If the horse can order a drink on his own, I've no right to eject him from the bar.
((Well then... I retract what I last said xD))
"That would be some sight to see a horse ordering his own drink." |
Quiet simply sips her drink, the masticated leaf tucked into her cheek as she watches the conversation. She admires the horse, but otherwise makes no move for conversation at this time. She is certain she has crossed swords with this man/woman(?) before. This is a place for truce though, and she's willing to keep enough to herself as long as she is extended the same courtesy.
Reyoki, you are under the knowledge that you are...uhm...the mix in this mixed company? I simply find it courteous to be sure you are aware.
Yes, Axel, seeing a horse order their own drink would indeed be entertaining XD |
Axel only nodded his agreement, the expression on his face unwavering.
Well, as nobody seems to be ordering anything, might I ask how everyone fares today? Also, would any of you care to step INTO the bar, or are we going to linger outside today?
Reyoki tied her horse's reigns to a post outside and entered the establishment with a light sigh. The day had been going on for a while, and she was in need of a short reprieve. She sat at a table along the wall and ordered a pint of mead.
"Do you... serve blood at this establishment? I find my energy is close to being depleted."
If that is what you require, I can supply it. It simply depends on how much you NEED.
*hands Reyoki his pint* Feel free to drink yourself into a stupor. ;3 |
She chuckled and graciously accepted the drink. "I'd like to think I have more self-control than that, but thank you for such a warm invitation," she said before taking a swig of her drink.
"A pint or two should be sufficient," he answered in his usual monotone, eyeing the other guests.
Heh always welcome~
*pours himself a small drink* Might as well enjoy my own brew a bit, before I go to..supply Axel here. Axel, I shall return momentarily with that. Possibly lighter in the head. *laughs, retreating again to the back* |
Axel raised an eyebrow as the man retreated to the back.
Such service here. I would that all proprietors I've met be so obliging.
*many minutes go by, returns carrying a covered jar and a mug* Here you are Axel. Bon apetit~
*turns to Quiet* I am here to serve, and serve I shall. |
Reyoki placed the remainder of the pint on the table and stared at it. "How did it come to all this?" she said quietly.
"That was... unexpected," he said, looking over the mug and covered jar.
*turns gaze on to Reyoki* Because people tend to try and break shackles. When chains are cast on a warrior, the warrior will rage against their imprisonment. When you lock a wolf in a cage, it will try to force it's way out. It came to this due to the spirit of freedom, nothing more, nothing less. er...No offense, ma'am.
Axel, it is a gift to be able to serve one's comrades, even in this way. |
"Do you not care at all about your own health?"
*mm* Quiet mutters, the sound coming more out of her throat in agreement with Hermes' assessment.
She looked up, having realized she must have spoken aloud. "Ah, none taken. Fighting at times such as this is the job of a Knight no matter which side of the battlefield one is on."
No, not at all. If it meant the life of another worthy, mine would be forfeit, by my own will. I care not for me, I care for all. 'Tis what I believe should be the creed of all who serve
Reyoki, it is good to hear you speak of duty, but...do you feel no duty to the people ,as well? |
"Then you are a fool. If you care about the others around you you would do well to preserve yourself as well."
And do you see me wavering? Nay. I DID say it mattered how much you needed, did I not? I'm not such a fool, as you might think. But! A life of service, protection, and charity, is one of sacrifice.
"Some sacrifices are unnecessary. There were other means in which to supply me with what I needed."
