Adrianna sighed sadly as she started to work on her homework. She and her now ex had just broken up. She didn't know why. All she knew is that he claimed she cheated on him. But she was told he had cheated on her. She never did such a thing of course, but... she let out a sigh again. She still loved him. She still wanted to be with him. But his new girlfriend seemed to do whatever she could so she couldn't talk to him. She thought about sending a text. 'Maybe he'll answer....'

Lucid let out a quiet exhale as he pulled from his girlfriend's driveway and started to head home. Him and Isabelle have not been dating very long, but they had known each other for most of their high school years. And, if not for her, he'd still be with Adrianna who had apparently cheated on him a few times...and Isabelle had brought it to his attention. While he would personally never cheat, knowing all too well how it felt, he couldn't believe Adrianna would.
Now that his thoughts were his new ex, he couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt. He knew he still loved her, but he could not tolerate being with someone who lied about it, and cheated on him..well..he thought that was the case. Isabelle and a few of her friends testified to it..and they all had the same story..so it had to be true. Right? He sighed as he turned the corner. Not to mention, it now seemed that Isabelle was doing whatever she could to keep the two from seeing each other, even as friends. He wouldn't mind still be just friends with Adrianna..she was still a nice girl. |
Adrianna sighed softly and pulled out her phone. She sent him a text :Lucid...I really need to talk to you...Could you please come over..?:

Lucid was about halfway home when he felt his phone buzzing in his vest pocket. With a sigh, he pulled it out from the pocket over his heart, quickly reading the text. He didn't like to text and drive...but he couldn't help but always desire to answer Adrianna as soon as he could. He quickly sent the reply 'Yes. I'm on my way' then turned on the next street, navigating through the city to get to her house.

Adrianna nodded when she got the reply and went outside to wait for him. She wanted to get this cleared up. She wanted him to knew she never cheated. She wanted to tell him what Isabelle told her.

It was not long until the sleek, black Mercury Cougar that was Lucid's was pulling into Adrianna's driveway. He was rather surprised to see her already outside. He turned the car off and climbed out, pocketing the keys. He approached her, resisting the urge to just wrap his arms around her and kiss the hell out of the pretty face. He chewed on the inside of his cheek a moment, then spoke, "What's wrong Adrianna?"

Adrianna looked at him,"I want to get all of this between us cleared up. You probably don't believe me, but I never cheated on you. Isabelle told me that you were with her that night and that you wanted nothing to do with me anymore." She looked really upset, fighting back tears,"The night she said I cheated, I was out of town at my grandfather's funeral."

Lucid was about to respond, but paused. Isabelle? Now what was really going on? "S-she did? I.." He trailed off, unsure of what to say. He knew he felt bad for what he said to her when they broke up a few days ago. He bit his lip. "Adri..I'm so sorry about your grandfather...and I'm sorry that Isabelle..did what she did." He just couldn't believe that Isabelle had been on a mission to split them up. He shook his head a bit, trying to get his thoughts together. "B-but why would..she..do that? And I was most certainly not with her that night...I was at home working on my English paper..."

Adrianna looked at him,"She's had a crush on you since we started to go out." She said,"Don't you remember? When we had the Christmas party we had at school she tried to kiss you." She looked at him,"I NEVER cheated on you. I never even CONSIDERED cheating on you. Even though we aren't together, I still love you very much.."

He was silent as he recalled the party. He shuddered, "I was actually trying to forget that..but...still..I would never pin her as such a..conniving person." He sighed deeply, tearing his hands from his pockets and putting them around her waist and pulling her into a firm hug, "I was so..astounded when she 'told me you cheated'...I was thinking 'Adri? My Adrianna? It can't be'..but..multiple people attested to it..I..had no choice..and I can't believe I was such a fool to believe them. I..I'm so sorry..Please forgive me Adrianna..I didn't know what else to do.." He continued to hold her, giving the top of her head a slight kiss; seeing as he was quite a bit taller than her-but not too much so.

Adrianna hugged him back tightly,"I never did." She said quietly,"They were lying to get split us up." She looked at him,"And to tell you the truth, I never REALLY thought you cheated on me. And I'm really sorry for all the terrible things I said when we had that fight."

Now he just felt like he wanted to curl up and die. He just couldn't believe what he had done to Adrianna because of Isabelle. He held her tighter, gently running a hand through her hair, "Let's just...put this behind us..I'll speak with Isabelle tomorrow..."

Adrianna looked at him worriedly,"She's going to deny it all." She said quietly,"He's going to make it seem like I'm lying to you." She looked down again,"I'll even show you the book from the funeral that family members and friends signed."

He shook his head, "I believe you Adrianna...I'm so, so , so sorry that I didn't believe you earlier. I will make her tell me the truth. I just have one question for you.." He held her away a bit so he could look at her better, "Do you still want..to..be with me?I understand if you don't..or at least, not right yet..but.." He trailed off with a sigh. He didn't really know what else to say.

Adrianna nodded her head quickly,"Yes I do." She said quietly, kissing his cheek,"I really missed you."

Lucid smiled brightly. He was so relieved that she could forgive him and still want to be his girlfriend. He pulled her close, his arms resting around her waist. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you? I don't care what it is, I will do it. Anything to make you happy my dear." He lifted her chin slightly, kissing her lightly-but passionately-on the lips for a few moments.

Adrianna kissed him back gently,"Let's make sure we don't believe anymore lies she tells us." She said quietly,"I don't want to be without you again."

He gently ran his hand through her hair once more, "She won't separate us again, I swear." After a moment of silence, he smiled, "Hey, want to go out for dinner or something? I've just got this intense craving for Chinese." He chuckled lightly, rolling his eyes. "What about you?"

Adrianna smiled and kissed his cheek,"Why don't we order in?" She asked,"We could stay here and watch a movie or something."

"Oh that sounds like a plan~ You can pick the movie alright?" He smiled, leading her inside with one arm around her waist. He loved having her in his arm/s and dearly missed the sensation; Isabelle just wasn't the right..fit..like she was.

Adrianna smiled and nodded,"Alright." She said, kissing his cheek. She led him inside, closing the door behind them. She picked up the phone and started to order the food,"What do you want?" She asked him, wondering what kind of Chinese food he wanted.

"Anything with fried rice is fine for me~" He smiled, taking a relaxed breath in and holding it for a moment before letting it out. He really did miss spending his free hours with Adrianna. She was always so pleasant~

Adrianna nodded and hung up the phone,"It should only be about half an hour." She said with a smile,"If it's late it's free." She giggled and sat down next to him, looking at her shelf of movies,"I'm not too sure what to watch though."

Lucid's eyes flowed over the shelves of movies, "Hmmm...I'm not sure either..what are you in the mood for to start with? We can at least narrow it down. Right?" He smiled, giving her cheek a quick kiss before glancing back to the movies. He would watch anything really, but he wanted to make sure Adrianna wanted to watch it as well.

Adrianna smiled and pulled out a movie, her favorite, Beauty and the Beast. "I know we've watched this a million times,"She said,"But it is my all time favorite~" She smiled and kissed his cheek,"You can pick one to watch after we finish this one if you want~"

Lucid turned his head, intercepting the kiss with his lips, "Even so, I still love it myself." He smiled, gently taking the case from her and getting up to put it in the DVD player. He got everything all set, then let the DVD player take over and play through the previews while he sat back down.

Adrianna smiled and hugged him gently, glad that things were cleared up and they were back together. She kissed his cheek gently. |
[[It's alright, I understand..but now I don't really know what to do
xD]] Lucid smiled, holding her close. He was still rather upset that Isabelle would do such a thing. He would definitely have to talk with her. It was completely unacceptable; what she did. He sighed silently. What in the world possessed him to believe her and her croons over Adrianna? |
-The next day at school-
Adrianna was late getting to her first class. She had been confronted by Isabelle, who had found out she had spent the evening with Lucid. She arrived to class with a broken nose and arm. She gave the teacher her hall pass and sat in her seat beside Lucid, blushing in embarrassment. |
Lucid sat there in his seat as class was about to start, waiting for her to arrive, but after class had started she still had not arrived. He was a bit worried now...but soon she came in. It was obvious she was not in 'perfect' condition. He could see pain on her face, even if she tried to hide it. He leaned over, "Adri, what happened?"

"Isabelle." Adrianna murmured,"Her and her friends ganged up on me and beat me up before school." She shook her head,"The nurse wanted to send me home but I refused. I have to leave class 5 minutes early to make sure I can get there okay. Would you like to come with me? I'll need help with my stuff."

[[Holy crap I completely forgot about you!
/shot]] Lucid narrowed his eyes a bit, but not at Adrianna. He stood up abruptly, glancing to the teacher who was very surprised to see such an outburst form him. He didn't say anything as he looked to Adrianna and tenderly, yet forcibly, helped her stand from her chair, "I can't have you walking around hurt like this. We're going to the hospital to have this checked. Alright?" He kept his tone low so no one else would hear too much. "Please just cooperate with me..." He smiled a bit, he would never force her to anything, but this was very important. |
Adrianna nodded,"Alright." She said softly, whimpering in the pain that shot through her arm.
