Calvin sighed as he walked out of the classroom, Oh so boring. He thought to himself as he removed the lens cap from his camera. He put it up to his eye and started snapping pictures of the students that were stopped at their lockers or stopped talking to friends. He loved to get pictures of people when they were happy. |
Briana rounded the corner of the hall, practically skipping. She wasn't particularly happy about anything, she just liked to skip. She grinned when she saw Calvin, his back to her, taking pictures of students. She walked up behind him as quietly as she could, and not knowing if he had noticed her or not flung her arms around his shoulders and then lay there in a relaxed manner. "You know, you almost look like some stalker trying to get a good picture of whomever he is stalking." She teased.

Calvin jumped when he felt arms around around his shoulders, he got ready to kiss one of the hands, figuring it was his girlfriend. His green eyes lidded halfway when he heard Briana's voice, "I am a stalker, didn't you know that?" He chuckled. "It's so easy to stalk, you should try it." He patted her hand. He pulled out his phone as he felt it vibrate, he read the text message from his girlfriend,"D<". He glanced around trying to find her but she couldn't be seen. "Anyway, so how was your last class?" He sighed a little as he put his phone back into his pocket.

Briana laughed and released him after he had checked his phone. She didn't need to see the message to know who it was from. "As fun as stalking sounds, I think I'll pass. It might interfere with my school work." She grinned. "Boring as ever. I'd already studied the material." She told him, trying not to sound like such a nerd, though it was impossible. "Yours?"

"Ah yes homework, I have a ton to do tonight." Calvin sighed. "There is my nerdy best friend." He chuckled as he turned around. "To tell you the truth I wasn't really paying attention. We were talking about Shakespeare... I think." He shrugged. "Wait stay just like that." He backed up a step and quickly snapped the picture. "Beautiful." He smiled as he put the lens cap back on his camera.
"Calvin~" A brown hared girl walked up behind the reddish copper hared boy. Calvin rolled his eyes a bit before he turned around, "Hi Jess." He smiled slightly. "Hi is all you have to say?" The girl called Jess pouted. "I brought you your jacket. I don't want my boyfriend to get sick." She smiled as she stepped forward and placed a kiss on the boy's lips. She gave him a hug and narrowed her eyes at Brianna. |
Brianna simply smiled at Jess as if nothing at all were amiss. She knew Jess was jealous of her and Calvin's relationship, but found it ridiculous. After all, which one of them had the liberty to kiss the boy? It certainly wasn't Brianna. 'But O, how bitter a thing it is to look into happiness through another man's eyes.' She quoted Shakespeare mentally.
"I think getting sick is the least of his worries, if he doesn't start studying soon." She teased him lightly. |
"I'm still getting A's in my classes." Calvin smiled as he glanced back at Brianna. "Would you like a ride home Brianna, or would you want to join us for a bite to eat?" He removed Jess's arms from his neck because she was starting to choke him. Before Brianna could answer Jess was pulling him away. "J-..just a second." His tone was please help.
Jessica clenched her jaw when Calvin invited Brianna to their date, she quickly grabbed his wrist and started dragging him down the hall. She turned a corner and threw the boy into the wall, "What in the hell are you doing? Why did you invite her on our date!?" She crossed her arms. Calvin rubbed his head after it smacked into the wall, "She is my best friend, I don't feel right ditching her." He kept his voice low because he didn't want to attract any attention. "Who cares? She just wants you for your money!" She narrowed her eyes. "Excuse me?! If anyone is after my money its you! Ever since your dad lost a lot of money in the stock market you have been asking me to buy every damn thing for you!" He was past keeping it quiet. Jess scoffed and slapped him across the face, "How dare you!?" She stared at him hard. Calvin grabbed his cheek after she slapped him, "Fuck you Jessica. We are done." He rarely swore like that. He pushed himself off of the wall and headed back to Brianna. "You haven't done that in a long time!" Jess yelled down the hall as Calvin walked away. "You are a stubborn asshole Calvin Edward." She threw his jacket down the wall and stormed out. Calvin was still holding his cheek when he made it back to Brianna, "Sorry, are you ready?" His face was flushed with anger. |
It was all Brianna could do not to grin like an idiot. She was happy that Calvin and Jess had broken up, though she wasn't sure how Calvin felt about it. Even though he had been the one to break them up, Brianna still felt he might need some time, and perhaps ice cream, to get over it.
Carefully she moved his hand from his cheek and replaced it with her own in order to inspect the damage. She whistled, "She didn't hold back did she?" Being sure not to let her hand stay there any longer than necessary, she pulled it away and tugged on his arm so they could start walking away from the scene. "You wanna come over my house? We have ice cream." |
Calvin winced slightly as Brianna placed her hand on his cheek, "No she didn't." He sighed. He was a little sad when Brianna removed her hand from his cheek. "Maybe ice cream will help." He smiled a little as he wrapped Brianna's arm in his. "I'm glad she didn't do something else." He was in fact referring to Jess kneeing him in the groin. He bent over and picked up his jacket as they walked by it. He gently leaned his head on Brianna's shoulder with a sigh, "Was she always a bitch to you?" He green eyes watched Briana's expressions closely. He closed his eyes after a moment, "I wish I could pick the right quote from Freud." He chuckled a little. Psychology was his favorite subject, if he couldn't make it as a photographer he was gonna become a Psychologist.

Brianna laughed knowing exactly what he was referring to. "I think she'd be to worried about," She cleared her throat, "damaging that area. You know she'll be asking for you back pretty soon, right?" She said with a rueful smile. She could see it now. Jess using whatever tactic to she had to to get him back.
Her expression faltered when he asked about how Jess had acted around her. She had in fact always behaved the same way, but she didn't want to make Calvin feel bad by telling him so. "Well, she was never actually friendly, not that I was bothered." She waved her free hand like it was nothing. |
"I know, but this time she crossed the line." Calvin sighed. Plus I kinda like someone else. He thought to himself. "I'm sorry Bri, I'm just an normal oblivious guy I guess." He shook his head. He wrapped his free arm around her waist in a hug, he removed it after a second. He glanced at a few people that were staring at him, "Here is my camera so you can take a picture." He removed his head from Brianna's shoulder and narrowed his eyes at the people.

Brianna nodded. "Very true. Like with most men you only think with your... heart." She nudged him slightly to let him know she was only kidding. She blushed a little as he hugged her waist, knowing he only meant it in friendship. She raised an eyebrow at his reaction to the stares. "You... definitely need some ice cream." She pulled him along so that they were outside now.

"Ouch, that hurts." Calvin put his hand over his heart. "But you think you your brain," He poked her head gently. "Not your heart." He placed his open hand on her chest over her heart, he let it linger for a moment before he removed it. "But they don't need to stare at me, she is the one who went apeshit." He hit his head with his hand. "I need to stop swearing like this." He shook his head with a sigh. He took the lead and pulled Brianna to his Mercedes. "So your place then?" He let go of her arm and pulled out his keys. He unlocked the doors and opened the passenger door for her, "Ladies first."

"My brain has never lead me wrong before. I trust that it won't do so." She felt her heartbeat speed up as he placed his hand over her heart. That was exactly why she didn't follow her heart, because it wanted something she couldn't have. "Hmm, seems there is a bit of a gentleman in you after all." She grateful slide into her seat and buckled her seat belt. "Yeah my place. Parents are at some business meeting so we'll have the place to ourselves."

"But sometimes you need to listen to your heart." Calvin slapped himself internally. He wasn't listening to his heart, so why was he telling her to. He shut the door when she got in and walked over to the driver's side. He opened the back seat door and put his messenger bag and jacket on the floor. He removed his camera from his neck and gently placed it in its case. He quickly shut the door and got in the drivers seat, he looked at Brianna. "I am very gentleman-y..?" His face contorted in 'WTH' mode at his butchering of the English language. His eyebrow raised slightly when she said that they would be alone, he wiped it off of his face. "Well it looks like we both are home along." He put the key in the ignition and started the car. He slowly drove out of the parking lot.

Brianna, to late, realized how her words could be taken. She tried to cover them up in a nonchalant way. "You know how my mom is. We can't go five minutes without her offering us some sort of snack or beverage." She grinned at him. "You are the spitting image of a gentleman, and your grammar is superb." She winked at him slightly and then proceeded to mess with the radio till she found a station they both liked. She turned it low so it would be nothing more than background music. "I think there's a party sometime tonight. You going?" She asked him.

"Ya and she always opens with 'So how is the happy couple?'.... Oh wait that is my mom." Calvin chuckled. "Thank you for the compliment, even though I already knew that." He smiled as he turned. "It starts at 8:30, and I was going to go. Ryan invited me and Jessica..." He trailed off with a sigh. "But if you want to go I will go." He glanced to Brianna when he stopped at a red light. "And I hear there will be alcohol there, so don't drink to much." He chuckled knowing Brianna would never drink underage.

Brianna grinned, rolling her eyes. "Oh, you know me, a raging alcoholic. I don't know if I'll be able to stop myself." She said with a pleasantly sarcastic tone.
Brianna studied his expression for a moment. "Let's go, and you can show Miss Jessica how much happier you are now." She told him in an attempt to cheer him up. "And you know what, I'll even let you help me choose an outfit. We'll have a great time." |
"Ya I know, we really need to get you into AA." Calvin chuckled sweetly. "Ok, ok. I'll help you pick out an outfit if you help me." He smiled as he pulled into her drive way. "After ice cream, and chilling for awhile we can run over to my place and you can help me." He turned off the car and quickly got out of the car. He rushed over to her door and opened it, "See I am awesome." He winked as he held out his hand.

Brianna nodded seriously and took his hand, causing her heart to do a little flip. "I will never doubt your awesomeness again." She told him with a grin as she let him help her from the car. She glanced over at her home. It was a humble little place. Quaint and simple, nothing extravagant.

"Ah that is what I like to hear." Calvin chuckled as he followed Brianna up to the door. "Well you are in luck, I do have a few pink ties at home. And you know that I always have to wear one." He smiled as he walked into the house, and played with his black tie. "You know I always feel homey in your house. Mine is just so flippin big." He sighed as he looked around the quaint house. {[This is going to be his house.]} |
Brianna smiled. "You house is huge. It's a wonder I haven't got lost in it yet. Oh wait I have..." Quickly, she turned and grabbed his tie. She pulled him with enough force to lead him to the couch and make him sit, but not enough to hurt him. "Sit. I'll get the ice cream." She said with a smile and dashed off.

"Ya, but I found you after ten minutes." Calvin smiled. He stumbled forward as she pulled on his tie, "You are so lucky I don't wear clip on ties." He chuckled as she made him sit down on the couch. "I can help, I do know my way around a kitchen." He smiled as he watched her walk away. After all I always have to make my own dinner. He sighed as he thought to himself.

"My kitchen, my rules. Guests don't serve themselves." She called back cheerily. Quickly she got out two bowls and filled them with 'Rocky Road' ice cream. She came back and sat down beside Calvin, handing him a bowel. "Now, do you need to cry to some outrageously sappy chick flick?"

Calvin smiled as he grabbed the bowl, "Nope, this ice cream and being with my best friend will help." He smiled as he took a spoonful of rocky road. He gave her a small peck on the cheek, "Thank you." He smiled even thought his face became a little flushed.

Brianna's face warmed slighted when he kissed her cheek, but she simply smiled like it was nothing out of the ordinary. "That's what I'm here for." She told, leaning her head on his shoulder for a brief moment before returning to her ice cream. "Well, that and to make fun of you every chance I get."

"Ah yes the making fun of." Calvin chuckled as he took a bite of ice cream. After about an hour and a half he glanced at his watch, "6:30" "Well we should go and pick out your outfit." He jumped slightly as he felt his phone vibrate uncontrollably. "Jeez just hold on..." He trailed off as he pulled his phone from his pocket. He scanned the multitude of texts that were coming in. "Well the party is moved to eight." He showed the text to Brianna. He dropped the phone when it vibrated again, "Damn it Jessica." He grabbed it off of Brianna's lap. He started mumbling as he kept getting texts from Jess, "Screw it." He tore the battery cover off and pulled out the battery. "There." He threw the pieces onto the couch. |
Brianna smiled and shook her head at Calvin's reaction. "Let me guess, she's sooo sorry and she thinks breaking up was the worst thing in the whole entire world?" She grinned and stood, then leaned down and ruffled his hair. "Come on, my entirely to small and unprepared wardrobe awaits." She then proceeded to go up the stairs, looking back to be sure he was coming.

"You got the jist of it." Calvin sighed. "She just wants to go to the party and wants me to buy that stupid dress that she has been 'dropping hints' for since we were invited." He stood up and straightened his hair. He followed her up the stairs, "Your wardrobe isn't that small." He smiled. "I'm sure you have some fantastic things to wear."

"That's what you think. I'm fairly certain I have one dress suited for the occasion. Come on, I'll show you." She dashed up the steps and into her room. Once Calvin was there she pulled out a yellow dress from her closet. "Too fancy?" She asked him.

Calvin whistled when he saw the dress, "No it's not, it is very beautiful." He smiled. "And it looks like I'm going to have to change my tie to yellow." He chuckled. "Want me to..?" He trailed off pointing out the open door.

"Ah..." She hesitated for a moment. Not wanting to make him wait outside the door she said, "Just close the door and keep turned around, it's fine." He was her best friend, she highly doubted he even had the desire to peek. She slide the dress off it's hanger, waiting for him to do so.

Calvin did as he was told to do, he shut the door and turned around. He closed his eyes and leaned his head on the door, his face became a little flushed at the fact that she was changing right behind him.

As quickly as she could she pulled off her cloths and replaced them with the little yellow dress. She tugged and pulled a few places to make sure it fit right then turned to look at Calvin. She smiled as she saw him leaning against the door. He really was the best friend she could ever have, not if only he could be more...
She shook the thought from her head and cleared her throat. "Finished." She called and then did a little twirl, flushing slightly. She didn't dress up much and was afraid it looked funny. ((It's fine ^^)) |
Calvin opened his eyes and turned around, "Very beautiful." He smiled. His heart was racing a little as he took in Brianna's beauty. "I'm going to have to take a picture of you." He winked playfully.

Brianna bit her lip slightly. "You and your pictures." She smiled and walked over to him. "Okay, but we have to get one together too." She laughed. "My gosh, I feel I'm going to prom or something."

"Hey now, if I didn't take pictures we never would of met. Remember? I was 'stalking' and you yelled at me because I took one of you without your consent." Calvin chuckled. "We will, my tripod is at home. But we are going there next so you can help me pick out an outfit." He nodded. "Well I don't think Prom could handle your beauty." He flashed a boyish smile.

Brianna shook her head with a laugh, remembering their first meeting. She flushed at his compliment, rolled her eyes and out an arm around his shoulders as they began walking. "Enough Casanova, you'll have half the female population at your door step if you say things like that so easily." She grinned, patted his back and let her arm fall back to her side.
