Four Years Ago:
Hayden staggered a bit before falling to her knees. She pulled out the knife quickly, but carefully. She was already low on power due to her lack of blood and her earlier wounds. Suddenly, she felt fear as black dots clouded her vision. No, this can't be. She couldn't die this easily...but then again; lack of blood. She made her way over to Solomon, taking the knife and pulling it across her wrist. While vampire blood held no 'nutritional' value for a vampire, it was still very powerful. Solomon would need every bit he could get to save himself and Holden. She held her wrist on Solomon's mouth as she fell over, death slowly taking over... She had no idea how much time had passed since she felt herself slip into permanent unconsciousness, but she had a feeling that it wasn't too long. The first sensation that came to her was the warm liquid being sent down her throat. Blood. No matter how she much she wanted to, she could not open her eyes, move, or speak. She could smell something behind the blood, a familiar scent near and dear to her. Solomon... He must be feeding her the blood. How she survived the sword to her heart she was unsure of right now, but she didn't care. As long as she could be with her brother. Unfortunately, she couldn't feel herself healing. It wasn't working. She would die and her brother would be left all alone. Before long, she was unconscious again; near death. *** One Year Later:She had no idea how much time had passed before she awoke again; pain an instant sensation. When she finally was able to open her eyes, she was thoroughly confused. She lifted her hand as high as it would go, touching the soft surface with her tiny palms. Cotton? What does this mean? she quickly felt around the tiny space, her eyes widening in horror as she came to the realization she was in a coffin. She shook for a moment, how could this be? She pounded her fists on the top of the casket, tears rolling down her cheeks. She had almost no power, she couldn't teleport out of here..but..wait! She had enough for one quick telepathic message. She couldn't scan a large distance, but she went straight for a mind she knew would listen. "Serus? Seth?" Even sending that tiny little message was too much and she couldn't hold consciousness much longer. She needed blood..and quick. Serus tilted her head suddenly, mid conversation to Seth. A puzzled look came across her face, "Seth..did..did you hear that? That..sounded like...I swear I heard our names..." She continued to mull it over for a moment, then looked back to Seth with her red eyes. |
Seth was confused at Serus' question, "I did, but it was a woman's voice. It can't be Jae, or kids, they are asleep." He said pondering for a few moments. "It sounded familiar." He said closing his eyes to focus on the voice. It came from England... "Hayden, Hayden, Hayden." His mind kept saying over and over. "How could that be?" He asked himself out loud. "It can't..." He said trailing off. "Holy shit! It was Hayden." Seth said jumping up and teleporting to England.
|
It didn't take Serus long to catch on, "Hayden!" she said at the same time as Seth. She grabbed his arm, teleporting with him. They appeared at the small grave site just off the side of Solomon's property. "She's definitely down there...but now..I don't sense anything from her." She knelt down in the grass, placing her hand on the ground and closing her eyes, "I don't sense any output...just her body...wait.." Her brow furrowed as she concentrated harder, "I-I feel it! Seth..sh-she's alive!Go get fresh human blood..lots of it Seth, she needs it now."
She quickly manipulated her telekinesis to wrap around the casket and force it up to the surface, after Seth had vanished. She quickly cleared the dirt from it, working to unclasp the latched and flipped the lid off the casket. She stared at Hayden's ice blue eyes, simply amazed, "Hold on, dear. Seth will be back soon with some blood." She gently brushed some hair from Hayden's face, covering her mouth as she tried to speak, "Ssshhh...just wait until you've gotten some blood, alright?" She let go, sensing the girl would agree. She looked around, "Come on Seth, I'm sure she doesn't care who..just get back here." Hayden was jolted awake as the casket was suddenly forced upward. She clenched her eyes as the lid suddenly flew off, and when she opened them, she saw Serus. She smiled a bit, her message made it. Just as she was going to ask for Solomon, Serus covered her mouth and told her to not speak. With a frown, she agreed and waited silently. |
Seth nodded as he disappeared, he landed in an alleyway. He blocked out all human's from seeing him. He quickly reached out and grabbed the first human he saw. He knocked the person out as he teleported back to Serus and Hayden. Seth cut the woman's wrist and put it to Hayden's mouth, "Drink up..."
|
Hayden let her mouth open as Seth returned, the blood pouring down her throat. She would need more than just one human to make up for the time underground. Even before she got much blood, her body was already begging for more...not to mention, her eyes were already tinted red. She quickly forced herself to dispel her anger, even though it hurt. She still didn't have enough strength to move, but at least she could hold consciousness. A confused look came upon her face as she noticed Serus was gone. Before she could ask, she had returned with another human.
Serus cut the man's wrist, putting it on Hayden's mouth as Seth moved the girl away, "I think after this we should be able to safely transport you to the manor. You'll have to deal with half servings from the servants, but after a few of them you should at least have enough strength to move." After Hayden had finished, she teleported the three of them to her room on the third floor. She moved Hayden to the bed, "Seth, could you be a dear and gather a few donors? Preferably ones who just ate or woke up." Jaelynn jumped a bit, sensing her mother upstairs. What is she up..what the hell!? She quickly teleported upstairs, her hands going to cover her mouth as she saw Hayden on the bed. "H-how is...that..." she whispered, barely able to form her words. Hayden should be dead. She was stabbed in the heart and buried for a year. She ran after Seth, to help him gather up the human servants. |
"Yes dear." Seth said as he ran out of the room. He ran into the kitchen to grab the chef, he knew she just ate. "Come, we need your assistance with a vampire." He said grabbing the woman. "I don't know how she could still be alive Jae." He said via telepathy. "I don't know how she is going to react to the fact that Solomon is dead." He said grabbing one of the butlers as he came out of his room. He quickly pulled them up the stairs and into Serus' room. He cut the chef's wrist as he gently threw her to Serus. "I will monitor them as Hayden feeds from them." Seth said a little shocked.
|
Serus gently took the chef's wrist, "Sorry for springing this on you Anne, but this is urgent." She placed the woman's wrist above Hayden's mouth
Anne chuckled weakly, "I-it's okay Serus...I'm just thankful I was able to find a job after..." She looked away, down towards the girl on the bed. "H-holy crap! Hayden! What's g-going on here Serus?" She could feel herself weaken as her blood got thinner, but kept a strong face. Serus frowned, "Anything to help a friend my dear...as for Hayden, we'll find out as soon as she's able to tell us." Once Anne had spared all blood she could, Serus pulled her wrist away, healing the wound for her. "You should lie down," she motioned to the couch and led her over, "Don't mention him around her yet. Alright?" Seeing the woman nod, she went back to Hayden, "Doing alright so far?" Hayden was a little too out of it to notice who was standing next to Serus, but her voice did sound familiar. With half open eyes she watched as Serus soon took the wrist away and led the woman elsewhere. When she came back, she couldn't manage a nod, but she did mouth, 'Yes.More.' Jaelynn came in seconds later with a butler, motioning for him to enter the room before leaving. The butler headed over silently, holding his wrist out for Serus to cut, "You better pay me double for this...ah I kid Ma'am." Once his wrist was open, he held over Hayden's mouth for a time before it was pulled away, healed, and he was escorted to sit next to Anne. He closed his eyes a bit with a soft sigh. Hayden could feel a bit of strength returning to her, and her aches went away. As each servant came to give her blood, a little more power returned to her. After about 10 servings, she was able to sit up on her own. After a few more, she was almost to a state of 'normal'. After a moment of silence, she looked up to Serus with a frown, "W-where's...Solomon?" She almost didn't want to ask. |
Seth went over to Anne and pulled moisture out of the air, "Open.." He said ready to pour the water down her throat. After she drank he went down the line giving water to all of the servants. "Once you guy's get your strength back, you can have the day off." He said looking to Serus to make sure it was ok. Seth looked away as Hayden asked about Solomon.
|
Serus nodded, "Of course they can, I wouldn't dare make them work. It would ju-.." She looked back to Hayden, forgetting all about what she was saying. She looked over to Jaelynn as she came back, then to Seth, "Can you get them out? I think Hayden and I should talk alone.."
Jaelynn nodded, escorting the servants who 'donated' first as they would have the most strength. She came back, carrying one of two of them as they were still rather weak. She put a block around the room to give them privacy then worked to get the servants some food to munch on. Hayden frowned deeply as Serus sent everyone out of the room. Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked up at the petite vampire. "Serus...?" Serus sat on the bed next to Hayden, placing her hand gently on the woman's shoulder, "Hayden, please don't get mad..but.." She pulled Hayden close in a hug, "Solomon...didn't make it. He...died shortly after trying to save you..." Hayden was paralyzed as Serus's words went through her mind. Dead? H-how could he be dead? Solomon...couldn't die...he was just too... Tears fell down her cheeks as she held Serus tightly, threatening to crack the woman's spine. Her body shook violently as she sobbed, burying her face in Serus's shoulder. A strange sight; to see a grown woman cry like that. I twas rather heartbreaking. Serus gently ran her hand through Hayden's hair, almost wanting to cry herself as she felt the pain and sadness rolling of Hayden. "Shh, Hayden, please don't cry. As soon as I found out about what was going on over there, I did everything in my power to save him; I promise you that." She couldn't help but twinge as she lied to the girl. She couldn't tell her the truth. "Solomon died neglecting his needs trying to save you...but before he could help himself...he..." She trailed off, unable to speak any more lies to Hayden. She held her tightly as the woman cried. "Seth...what will she do when she finds out the truth?" |
Seth nodded as he helped the servants out of the room. When they were down in the main living room he leaned against the wall nd fell to his butt with a sigh. He closed his eyes when he heard Serus in his head, "I don't know hun, she would probably kill the person responsible." He said feeling that Hayden was trying to listen. "Unless..." Seth said trailing off.
|
Serus would've rapped Hayden on the forehead any other day for trying to eavesdrop, but not today. She simply pushed the girl from the conversation and kept her out, "Unleeessss? What?" She had a feel as to where this was going, but she was not liking it. "Oh no! Seth, we can't go messing with the balance of things! Besides, do you have any idea how much energy it takes to reattach a spirit after such a long time? It would kill me, and Jaelynn twice over..."
Hayden looked up at Serus, whipping her face on her kimono sleeves, "I..I can't...believe this..." She brought her hands to her lap, clenching at the fabric of her kimono tightly, "He should've taken care of himself first..." She sniffled a bit, trying to not cry again. |
"Serus there is one person who could do it..." Seth said felling like Serus was gonna slap him. "I can't believe I am gonna do this." He said to himself. He stood up and pinched his nose, as he walked to the kitchen. "Mystic?" Seth asked a little nervous.
|
"Who do you mean Seth?" Serus gave Hayden another hug, "You know how he is...I'm flabbergasted at how you survived this whole time Hayden...What happened?"
Hayden tensed, "I-I'm not sure. I thought I died..then I woke up to someone giving me blood, and I think it was Solo...then I went unconscious again..and next thing I knew I found myself in a casket..." Mystic dropped the book he was reading, rather surprised to find a voice in his head. His violet eyes scanned the room for a moment, before he realized what was going on. "Ah! Seth, my boy! What can I do for you hm?" |
"Do you remember Amanda, and not Holden's sister Amanda." Seth asked Serus while looking for some alcohol. "You can reattach souls right?" He asked Mystic as he found some vodka. He grabbed the bottle and a glass, he poured himself some. "Does it matter how long the soul has been away from the body?" He asked taking a drink. "Why am I doing this?" Seth asked himself.
Suddenly Felix appeared next to Seth, "Hayden is alive." He said somewhat out of breath. "Your a little late old man." Seth said drinking the rest of the glass of vodka. |
Serus furrowed her brow, "I do..why?Oh Seth, no...we can't possibly ask her that.." She frowned a bit to Hayden, "Hayden, don't get your hopes up, but I think Seth is up to something. I think he wants to try an reattach Solomon's spirit...for you." She regretted saying it the moment the words came form her mouth.
Hayden tilted her head, "That's..possible? No no, you can't...It's selfish of me to let you do it...I don't..want to be selfish.." Serus put her hand on Hayden's shoulder, "It's not selfish my dear...I'm not sure if it's possible, but that's what I was hiding from you...I don't like lying so I felt I had to tell you." She nodded, keeping her eyes to the floor. He was silent a moment as he pondered, "The longest I tried was a day...why? Oh Seth..." He didn't intend to dig around Seth's mind, but found that the situation just came through the link. "Seth...that's not such a good idea...I can't guarantee anything...but..if you really want me to...I suppose I will try..." |
"Thank you so much Mystic, I will pay you back some how." Seth said feeling really excited. "What do you need for the process?" He asked as he went to grab his coat. "I know you are gonna need a body." He said as he slipped his coat on and teleported to Serus' room. "Hayden I need you to come with me please." Seth said holding out his hand.
|
"I just need a body, and hopefully someone who knows the spirit well like his sister, or any one of you will do. You were all rather close. Ah, um, does Serus know about me yet, or do I need to appear as Amanda?"
Hayden looked up, mildly shocked, "W-what for Seth?" She stood, smoothing out her Kimono and finger combing her hair. "What if..this doesn't work?" She walked over to him, twiddling with a ribbon from the flower in her hair. |
"Appear as Amanda, I figured if you wanted her to know the real you you would of told her." Seth said. "We need to go and find a human body. Since he is your brother I figured that you should pick it out." He said feeling like he was talking about clothing. "I'm sure it will." He said with a smile. "Any place in particular that you want to look?" Seth asked putting his arm around Hayden's neck, as he gathered up his power.
|
"London...it has to be London." She felt a bit awkward with Seth's arm around her neck; not used to this height. Perhaps she'd go back to her other self once she had enough power stored.
"Can do boyo~" Suddenly he appeared, but as Amanda of course. She smiled to the three giving a slight wave, "How come, I never hear from you guys unless you want something? Are you just..using little ol' me?" She frowned, dragging her index finger from her eye to her chin in a fake tear, "Ah, I kid. It's great to see you again, and it's a pleasure to meet you Hayden~ You should hurry up, I'll have everything set in a few hours. Serus, would you be a dear and help me?" Serus nodded, but felt an odd sensation from Amanda, as if she was using a small amount of power. Strange..what could she be doing? Don't question it Serus... "Of course Amanda, what can I do?" |
"Ok Hayden." Seth said as Mystic appeared. "I'll buy you a lot of alcohol." He said with a smile as he teleported to London. He took his arm from her neck and looked around. "Just let me know which one would look best." Seth said as he blocked Hayden and himself from anyone from seeing them.
|
Hayden looked around at all the men that walked by. None of them had the..panache that Solomon had. Suddenly, she jumped, pointing to a blonde haired man with sharp green eyes, "H-him. That vest and shirt...I can assume he's got many, like Solo did. He'd be perfect."
|
Seth nodded and ran after the man, he quickly put a bubble around the man so no one could see him. He put his hand around the man's mouth and knocked him out. He swung the man over his shoulder and walked back to Hayden. "Look good up close?" He asked setting the man down on the ground. He smiled, "You know that he is gonna want to bring Holden back right." He said as he teleported the three of them back to Serus' room. "Here we are." Seth said pointing to the blonde human on the floor.
|
Hayden looked the man over, and nodded, "He will do. If Solo doesn't like it that's just too bad." She held onto Seth as they teleported, "I know..but he'll want to be a vampire first..oh my gosh...he..won't be Pure anymore..." She frowned a bit at the thought. That meant there was no guarantee that Solomon would remain sane.
Amanda looked up from the intricate drawing on the floor, "Perfect timing! I just finished! Just lay him inside the center and hand me a knife if you would. I left mine at home." She stood and stepped back, looking to Serus, "N-now, don't get mad, but I can't do it locked in this form...Ah..umm..well you see, I'm a..shape shifter, a breed of Demon of course. B-but, I had to appear like this so you'd allow me to help...I had no back plot or anything of the sort way back when, so don't be mad?" Within seconds he was his normal self. He winced, preparing for a slap. Serus stared wide-eyed, "W-well..this is certainly..surprising. Don't worry about it Ama-..er..you..I understand the circumstances." She handed him a knife, "There you go. What's your real name by the way?" He took the knife, "Mystic~ Now, who knows Solomon best? Ah, don't answer, I'm assuming it's that pretty little lady over there~" He walked over to Hayden, draping the arm around her shoulders that held the knife, "Aw, don't be shy, dear. I'm harmless...sometimes." He winked, leading her over, "Please, sit." Hayden jumped a bit as the girl suddenly changed to a rather interesting looking demon. Her face became red as he started talking to her and draped his arm around her., "U-uh.." She sat down as instructed, "W-what do I need to do?" Mystic bent down with her as she sat, placing both hands on her shoulders, "You just need to sit there and look pretty for now~ When I tell you to, I'll need you to concentrate on Solomon..I'll do the rest, alright?" He clapped his hands once with a smile as he nodded, "Marvelous~ Now, is everything in place?" He glanced everything over, nodding a bit and muttering to himself. |
Seth nodded and picked up the human, he gently place the human in the center of the circle. He looked at Mystic, "It has been awhile since I saw your true form..." He said as Mystic showed his true form. "Crap." He said just figuring out that he said that out loud. He figured Serus was going to slap him for not telling her. He went and sat down on the couch. He blocked the room off so no one could enter via the door. Seth closed his eyes and got ready for whatever was going to happen.
|
Soon, Mystic was sitting next to Hayden, "Okay, now, gimme your hand and open your mind to me, alright? Don't worry love, I won't hurt you~ You're far too pretty~" He smiled, taking her hand and entering her mind as she allowed him to. He placed the tip of the knife over Hayden's heart, "Okay, I kind of lied, I will need to cut you, but trust me, I'll be saving you and the others a long process that is unnecessary." He felt Hayden tense as the knife touched her, "My dear, you must relax, I won't kill you or harm you other than a small cut to the wrist. Alright?" He grabbed her hand a bit tighter now, holding it over the boy's heart as he began to mutter. "This next thing is going to be very strange. We're going to enter the other side, the Ethereal Realm. Whatever you do Hayden, focus on Solomon's spirit and do not let me go."
Suddenly, the air in the room became very cold and highly uncomfortable for the vampires. The windows frosted up completely making it impossible to see out them, large chunks of ice coated the door making it impossible to open. Gatherings of ice were in the corners of the room, next to the various objects and so on and so forth. The overall appearance of the room had followed suit, quickly turning a light sky blue, almost white; like froze water as that was what it was. Throughout the gatherings of ice, pale faces could be seen, as if they were frozen inside, but they were just light impressions. "Im sorry this is so painful to you guys..this is how it has to be done." He continued to mutter softly in the unknown language. The room's temperature continued to decline and rather rapidly. "Okay Hayden..here we go.." Serus quickly curled up on the couch as she felt the room get colder, but it wasn't long until she was springing up shivering violently. "G-g-god d-d-d-d-dammit!" She hugged herself tightly, trying to keep warm as the room violently changed. She looked around, astounded, "W-wo-ow.." She jumped a bit, seeing a face on the couch. She quickly skittered over to Seth, clinging to him for warmth. |
Seth sat there almost stoic, he wrapped his arm around Serus to try and warm her up. He concentrated and started to make Serus' skin warm. "This might hurt a little bit." He said as he manipulated the warmth to go all over her body and fast. He was highly uncomfortable, but he had to make sure Serus was ok. Seth felt his hand that wasn't around Serus freeze, it was very painful...
|
While the others in the room would see no change, the images for Hayden and Mystic would be far different. Suddenly, the room 'slipped' away to be replaced by the same room, but in complete blue scale[like gray scale, but with a hint of blue to it]. The figures of Seth and Serus would be smokey and rather distorted while Hayden and Mystic would look normal to each other. "Okay Hayden..I need you to really concentrate on Solomon's mind. I would suggest starting with London, as that's your homestead."
Hayden nodded, doing as instructed. It wasn't long until she found Solomon's mind, "I-I..I found him!" She had to calm herself; Mystic said it was crucial. She kept her focus, waiting for Mystic to do the next step. Mystic shifted a bit so he was on his knees as he focused on Solomon through Hayden. "Okay, now this is where I'm going to have to cut your wrist...well..soon actually..I'm just preparing you." All the while he kept up muttering his spell. He latched onto Solomon's spirit and transported it to the room. Solomon, well rather, his spirit, felt something ping in his aura. What could it be? It took him only seconds to realize. Hayden! He whirled around, but saw nothing, only the empty study of his old manor. He frowned a bit, and just as he was going to look back he felt a tugging. Suddenly, he was yanked and found himself in a rather gloomy looking place. He looked around, quickly recognizing three of the four figures in the room What is going on here? Mystic then took his knife, jabbing it into the boy's heart, killing him instantly. He quickly and tightly took Hayden's wrist, cutting it with the knife. He held Hayden's wrist over the boy's body, directing her blood-flow with telekinesis, into the wound he had just created. It was slightly difficult holding onto Solomon's spirit while he did this, but he managed. Just as Hayden was on the verge of passing out, he healed her wrist and let it fall to her lap; all the while making sure at least one hand was on his shoulder. He then leaned forward again, placing both hands over the body as he escorted the boy's spirit into the Ethereal Realm. Before the spirit could act, it disappeared as Mystic completely decimated it. He looked up to Solomon's spirit, blocking his words from Hayden and the others, "It's up to you, you know...do you really want to be back?" His violet eyes glowed brightly as he fought to hold his connection in the Realm. Solomon thought quickly, he knew he didn't have much time to decide. He would worry about how Hayden was alive after his decision was made. After some silence, he looked to Mystic and nodded. Next thing he knew, everything was black. Suddenly, both Hayden and Mystic found themselves either face first or on their back on the floor, as if dropped there, as they were suddenly brought back from the Ethereal Realm. Hayden was currently unconscious, and in need of blood, but with everything being sealed off with ice yet, they couldn't get it to her. Mystic quickly climbed to his knees and placed his hands over the body, resuming his quiet spell. Soon, the ice melted away, but left no water behind. The room temperature slowly climbed to normal and the air became breathable again. Mystic was panting, his skin abnormally white and his eyes a dull grey-violet. He fell back after a moment of silence, laying on the floor looking at the ceiling. He didn't know how successful he was...and they wouldn't find out for quite some time yet. |
Seth snapped out of his mind when his body temperature suddenly rose. "Serus, check on Hayden." He said as he rushed over to Mystic. "Are you ok Mystic?" He asked as he kneeled down. "Let me help you up." He said as he pulled Mystic to his feet. He walked Mystic over to the couch, and sat him down. "Can I get you anything." Seth asked looking into Mystic's violet eyes.
|
Serus hurried over to Hayden, checking her vitals, "She'll be fine. She just needs rest and some blood." She lifted the woman from the floor and set her on the bed, calling for a servant telepathically. When he arrived, she cut his wrist and held it over Hayden's mouth. Once she determined she had enough she healed the servants wrist and sent him away. "Hayden?"
Mystic became limp as Seth lifted him, passing out momentarily until he was set on the couch as the blood made it up to his brain. He closed his eyes after glancing around, "Go get Jaelynn..she'll know what to do regarding the body..as for me..I'll be fine with rest.." The tell tale purple pigment quickly began to return to his skin as he sat there, his aura strengthening as well. Hayden's eyes fluttered open as she heard her name, "D-did it..work?" She sat up as her strength returned, her eyes looking over to the blonde boy on the floor. She couldn't sense anything in particular about the body, and that made her worry. Jaelynn appeared in the room, kneeling next to the body, her hands over his heart and forehead as she closed her eyes. She analyzed the spirit and it's connection, working to strengthen it while Mystic recovered, "You guys would be lost without me..." She smiled a bit then became straight faced as she focused. She couldn't make a mistake. |
"Yes we would be Jae." Seth said looking over to her. He quickly looked back at Mystic, "You sure you will be fine?" He asked with a small frown. "So this is why it would of killed Jae and Serus." He thought to himself looking at the body on the floor. The feeling was starting to come back into his hand, "Thank god." Seth muttered shaking his hand.
|
He nodded, "I'm sure. Just being around such healthy vampires is enough...ah, not that I'm stealing you're energy, but it does help me heal just by being present." He glanced over to Jaelynn, "Well?"
Jaelynn's brow furrowed, "Well, I do sense a spirit in here, but there's no guarantee that this'll hold. Serus was extremely lucky hers even took hold...most likely because she did it instantly, not a year afterwards. I must admit Mystic, your handy work is rather solid and unique...I se-" Suddenly she flew back, sliding on the floor until she hit the wall. She winced, rubbing her head, "As I was saying, I already sense a touch of vampire to him..what'd you do?" He shrugged, "Just a neat little trick~ I over heard Hayden mention he was a Pure...I needed her blood to help the fusion. He's still human and will have to be turned, but he'll be just a tad different than most Strigois. Nothing extreme or noticeable." After a moment, he stood, looking to Hayden, "If this works that is. There's no guarantee that any of this will work. I could have failed entirely and now we just have a spiritless body on a form of Ethereal life support. Who knows." He shrugged. Hayden frowned at his words, swinging her feet to the floor, "Is there anything else that can be done..to help ensure this works?" She frowned deeper as Mystic shook his head. "Oh I see...how long until we find out?" Mystic shrugged again, "No idea...could be a few minutes, to a few years to never. It's a very risky thing, spirit attachments. I'm even lucky to have survived doing this on my own. It usually requires a full circle of demons..." |
The door suddenly opened, and Felix was holding a tray of blood bottles. "I though you guys could use this." He said walking into the room. "Don't worry it is a fresh shipment, they just got it in as I arrived." He said handing the bottles around, except for Mystic. Felix held his finger up to Seth, telling him not to say a word.
Seth grabbed the bottle, he was ready to say something but Felix cut him off. "You aren't my butler anymore Felix." Seth thought to himself. |
Serus handed her bottle to Hayden, "You need it more than I do, dear." She smiled, going over to the body and transferring it to the bed. Even if it didn't work, no sense in leaving it there. Right?
Hayden took the other bottle from Serus, setting it on the night stand as she quickly drank the first one. She grabbed the second one, just staring at it, "I'm sorry Mystic...for making you do this..." Mystic smiled a bit, giving Hayden a wink, "Oh don't be honey~ I'll do anything for a pretty lady like yourself~" Just as he was about to say something more, his eyes fell upon Felix. He instantly brightened up, his eyes glowing intensely, "Oh~ You're still around?~ And as sexy as ever~" He purred a bit giving Felix a rather seductive wink. "I thought I would never see your handsome face again~" Jaelynn's eye twitched, "I've got some things to work out among the clan.." And with that, she left the room silently. |
"Ok please don't, this time I am involved with someone. And she is a witch." Felix said slightly glaring at Mystic. "You guy's have fun with... This..." He said waving his hand around the room. "I have a meeting with the coven leaders." Felix said disappearing.
Seth sighed as he sat down next to Mystic, "It took eight years for Serus, and then we had to break the block in her mind. She didn't even know who she actually was." He said setting the bottle on the table. He pinched his nose, and started to hum the Jeopardy theme. "Damn kids and the TV." Seth said noticing he was humming. |
Serus chuckled, "I'm going to go check on the girls and maybe take them out for awhile. It's been awhile since we went on a shopping spree~" She nearly skipped from the room, humming a cheerful tune.
Hayden's brow furrowed as Seth stated how long it took Serus, "E-eight years? But..I.." She sighed, slumping forward and flopping onto the bed, holding the closed bottle of blood close. She curled up on the bed, her back to the body behind her, "I assume it would be bad to force him awake, if possible." Mystic frowned, "No..no way...T-that's not fair! I..I never had a chance..." His expression became flat as Felix disappeared. He looked over to Seth, "Please tell me he's lying..please?" He sighed, knowing Seth would say Felix isn't. His eyes quickly went to Hayden as she spoke, "My dear, I'm sorry, I've done everything I could to ensure this works." He stood, walking over to her and sitting on the edge of the bed. He bent forward slightly, moving some hair from Hayden's face and placed a light kiss on her cheek, "The signals I am receiving from him are good...but I'm still unsure. Please don't be sad...it's mainly up to Solomon now. I'm sure he'll pull through. Alright?" He smiled tenderly before standing, "I hate to ditch you guys, but I have a feeling that someone wants to talk to me..stupid bitch.." He muttered a few curses then disappeared. Hayden smiled slightly as Mystic came over and spoke. When he was gone, the frown came back as she looked to Seth, "Y-you can read auras..can't you? I can sense it in you...what do you see?" She rolled over, facing the body. She brushed some hair from his face, "And don't lie and say something is there if there isn't..." She had a feeling that Seth was that kind of person... |
Seth wanted to answer Mystic, but he already knew the answer. "Make sure Annemarie doesn't buy slutty clothes, I don't want her looking like one." He said with a slight frown. He stood up and walked over to Hayden, he placed his hand on her shoulder. "This will feel odd." He said closing his eyes. He forced his power to Hayden and made her eyes adjust to see if there was a aura surrounding the body. He forced her eyes to focus in more, "There you see that? That bit of black." He said focusing on the blackness of the aura. "That is his aura, I have read him before. He is in there, it is weak, but he will pull through. He is very strong." He said pulling his power from Hayden. He felt weak in the knees as he opened his eyes. He quickly pushed away his weakness, and opened the drawer on the night stand. He grabbed out a little box, "He is going to want this back." He said handing the box to Hayden. "It is the ring Holden gave him." Seth said feeling weak again.
|
Hayden looked over the body, an almost invisible smile at her face. She sat up and faced Seth as he came back, "Did he tell you to keep it? He would not have parted with it so easily, not even in..death.." She gingerly took the box and opened it. She stared at the ring for awhile, "It's..rather amazing." She lifted it from the box and placed it on a finger that was a good width to hold it steadily. She smiled a bit, if only he had black hair...
*** Days turned to weeks; weeks to months; months to almost two years before any sign of anything occurring with the body. Hayden was outside in the garden with Anne, picking the various vegetables and placing them in the basket; they were making beef stew tonight. She smiled, looking over to Anne, about to say something when suddenly, she dropped the basket holding the carrots and green beans. Her eyes went wide, her body trembling a bit. "S-s.." She ran up to the house; Serus never gave her much blood to store up her power finding that it greatly reduced her blood craze issues to be close to 'human normal'. She burst into the house, yelling for Serus and/or Seth as she bolted up the stairs and into the room where the body had been resting. She stood in the door way for a moment before her knees fell from beneath her. The blonde haired man, who was currently standing by the full length mirror frowned at his reflection, "Well..this completely sucks.." He grabbed a lock of his hair, leaning forward and looking at it closely in the mirror. His frowned deepened as he put a finger to his eyes, pulling slightly on the bottom half of his skin, "She couldn't have found me someone with black hair?" Hearing something hit the floor, he turned, his green eyes wide, "H-Hay..den..?" His mouth hung wide open as he stared at her. "H-how can this be? You.." He made no move to go over to her, not really believing it was true. His heart began to race and his breathing became rapid and jagged. His own knees collapsed beneath him as his mind raced for answers. "You were dead...I felt you die..." He quickly calmed himself, hearing footsteps approaching. Serus fell back as Aria's foot connected with her chest; sending her into the wall. She held up her hands, "A-Aria wait! I..I need to go!" She skittered past her daughter and up the stairs. She came to the room just as the man fell to the floor, "S-Solo..mon? Solomon..I..I'm..." She looked away as her expression became sad. She quickly put on a smile, helping Hayden to her feet as she heard Seth coming down the hall, "H-How do you feel?" |
Seth ran down the hall quickly, he reached the door and maneuvered past Serus and Hayden, to get to Solomon. "Let me help you up Solomon." He said helping Solomon to his feet.
Suddenly a brown hared woman appeared in front of Seth. "Daddy, you said you'd help me with my elements." She said with a pout. "Damn it Annemarie, can't you see I'm busy here?" He asked as he moved Solomon to the couch. "When I am done helping them I will help you ok?" He asked sitting Solomon down on the couch. "Don't even think that way, now goodbye and I love you hunbun." He said making Annemarie disappear. "Sorry about that Solomon, are you ok?" Seth asked concerned. "But da..." Annemarie started to say but was cut off as she found herself in her room in Wisconsin. |
