[Private/Open] Mana and Mayhem

.: Plot Summary :.

All was peaceful on Earth, or as peaceful as a war-loving race could ever be. Secure in their advanced technologies they believed they could face all challenges that presented themselves as they stretched their presence into the unknown, space. But their explorations caught the interest of the [Alien sounding name here], and that's when they learned that technology isn't the only way to wage war. This new race wants the Earth's resources to add to their own, and they aren't asking politely.

Wielding Mana, magic, the aliens easily overpower the worlds military until it is discovered a small percentage of the population can do more. They can wield the left-over Mana from the alien attacks to defend their home world. But this brings them to the attentions of the invaders, and since it's their own powers they can easily track it back to the one using it. The risk is great, the price of failure even more so. This is the story of those willing to do what has to be done to save the World.

Note: These post is where I put all profiles.

.: Gan Nierva - portrayed byJurinjo
Age: 16
Height: 5"5'
Appearance: Warning it's kind of a big picture. Gan is albino, though his eyes are a bright blue.
About:
Gan is a shy person and so typically gets nervous and stressed easily in certain situations. He avoids confrontations when he can, though under those timid eyes is a sharp intellect. As the entire world finds itself in the face of what seems to be genocide the young man must simply buck up or die. Gan's specialty seems to be in sensing the flow of mana. A passive ability wouldn't seem to be much to most but it provided him with a knowledge that didn't have the poor souls that thought magic was the best way to fight the Earth's invaders back....
__________________

Name: Ariadne 'Andi' Marie Marshal
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Appearance: short blonde hair, hazel eyes, muscular build, 6'.5", 180 lbs

Personality: She if often accused of being insensative, or gruff or rude, when in fact she just is impatient. She doesn't tolerate laziness, but tries to be more understanding of the younger recruits. She's not always the first to think through an action before committing to it, but rarely does things that would result in certain doom for her troops.

Skills: Andi is a fully trained Marine and can use a variety of weapons as well as hand-to-hand combat. Though she does not fully realize it yet she can wield 'combat' mana(think attack and defense).

History: Andi has been a career marine for the last 16 years. She was raised in a military family and knew she would follow in their footsteps from a young age. She and her squad were in DC when the aliens arrived, and were on the front lines when it was discovered their intentions were not peaceful. Her entire group was destroyed except her, and she still has no idea how she escaped with only a few minor injuries. Ordered to retreat and lay low by her superiors she can't seem to stop herself from engaging the enemy, who seems to be able to follow her no matter how well she hides herself.

Name: Xichaitu-008-01 (Better known as Beta prototype two ( Just Beta) )
Age: unknown
Gender: Male
Appearance: Unlike his peers, because Beta was genetically created his features are more like those of a moth rather then a fly, because of this he lacks the double mandibles and the height of his peers but has gained the abilities of flight and a mild camouflage that fights against the ailens/human natural ability to detect mana. As a human, I will find a picture of that and edit it here.

Personality: This will probably develop as we go but for now we shall say that Beta is a serious little bugger. Hes the type of person that enjoys watching a poor helpless animal figure out a way out of a trap rather then helping it.

Skills: Beta has a skillful command of the mysterious aliens ship commands as well as, what ever his race can do with Mana ( which hasn’t been described ) . He also has what his added genetics provided which is flight and camouflage.

History: Beta was fabricated in a laboratory using some genetic codes from the species that the the Aliens concocted before coming to earth. They wanted to try and harness his original genetic codes powers and adapted to their own. He is the second more successful attempt at integrating the various DNA strains though the doctors are unsure of how unstable he is. The Alien army has been training Beta since he was first able to stand on his own out of his tube. This is only his second invasion mission with this one being the first one where he has been given any command status on a ship. As of right now he is in charge of data collection.

Once again Andi only had seconds to realize she was being followed, and to duck out of sight. She was breathing hard, but trying to keep quiet. If they caught her now she doubted she'd be able to defeat them all. Sliding down the wall she tried to mask her presence with the surrounding shadows.

She'd been running since the day prior. No one would have believed her if she told them she was being chased by people...things...not of this planet. Her squad had been on hand when the quiet arrival had been announced at the Pentagon, they'd been part of the first wave sent out to determine if they were friendly. Well they got that answer quickly. Something the visitors had done had literally wiped the troops off the map. The attack was fuzzy, and Andi still couldn't explain shy she wasn't vaporized just like her guys.

After that her C.O. had told her to lay low and keep out of trouble until they could get something to stop them. But apparently they'd done something to her, because they'd been hunting her actively since she'd left the field just that side of the Virginia state line. She'd hoped hiding in D.C. propper would throw them off her trail. Every time she thought she'd done it a small scouting group found her. She'd managed, thus far, to hold her own. But she was physically and mentally exhausted. The next skirmish could roll her up.

She'd kept to less inhabited areas of the city, the last thing she needed to do was involve civilians. But to get food, water and a change of clothes she was going to have to encounter someone. Slipping into a second hand store she tried to look unobtrusive and quickly pulled off her dark green skullcap. Grabbing up a few things she slipped out her wallet and moved to the counter. But something made her pause, again, that feeling of having a gun aimed between her shoulder blades. Someone was watching her....

Tried to do a bit of plot establishing and leave you a way to meld in...lemme know if you'd rather I change something.

Jurinjo 05-18-2011 09:07 AM

The attack came during a peaceful Virginia day. The sun hadn't quite set yet but that entire day Gan felt a sense of dread in his bones. Something had changed, like a new sense that let him see a different part of the world. It grew stronger for some reason as the day progressed...he swore he was going crazy. Which scared him more as he thought about his schizophrenic grandmother.

Gan walked into the local thrift store. Breathing its distinct odor. "Ah, nostalgia." he sighed to himself. Something about old thing fascinated him. He often wondered about who held that book before. When he passed by the children's clothes he couldn't help thinking about what that child must look like now.

The teenager was so focused on the items it wasn't until he was right next to the impressively fit woman that he noticed something about her. Gan swore he could see her aura. He stiffened up, unconsciously looking into her eyes with a hint of fear. Not of her but of himself.

Ok, so the attack hasn't quite happened? Or...well the aliens are following her and leaving a trail, which is being successfully covered up thus far?

Fey 05-19-2011 02:32 AM

Angling her head Andi looked at the teen, and at his stricken expression. Dammit, she thought to herself, do I still have traces of the fights on me, can't have him freaking out on me. Giving her best, sweet, smile she locked her eyes on his. "Hey kid." The woman behind the counter announced her total and she reluctantly broke eye contact and paid her tab. Looking back at him she tried to sound calm and relaxed, hard when she still felt like something was itching in the middle of her back.

"So, I'm in town visiting family, and I need a good place to stop and grab lunch, but I'd rather not grab some fast food. Know a good joint to stop at?" Anything to get him relaxed, and to keep him from panicking. She didn't want to have to subdue him.

We'll go with them covering their trail right now...later all heck can break loose.

Jurinjo 05-19-2011 05:49 AM

Hmm subdue him? Well this would be boring if he just gave her an answer. Guess I'll have Gan panic. Sorry for the color change, I'll try to keep consistent though.

The cashier acknowledge the woman, that was a good sign. She wasn't some figment of his imagination. Gan wasn't used to having casual conversation with random strangers though. In public people tended to just stick to themselves. Strange...but not bad she asked him for a good restaurant. "Yes. I mean. No, I only ever got to fast food restaurants myself." he chuckled wishing he could really be useful but there was no helping that.

Then Gan felt something similar her Andi. But he had never been held at gunpoint before. Instead of familiar heat radiated onto his arm. It didn't hurt but that was only a precursor to a burn that would come later. Instinctively he flinched away from the heat, it didn't relent at all. the feeling hovered just inches away from his arm.

By now he was breathing just a little bit faster, next he stole a glance at that woman again before bursting out the double doors of the store.

Fey 05-19-2011 11:34 AM

She thought she'd calmed him down, but then he ran. She swore roundly under her breath, grabbed up her purchases and moved quickly out of the store. She didn't run, otherwise the woman behind the counter might call the authorities. But, damn, the kid was fast. Breaking into a loping run after she cleared the storefront she caught up to him about a block away and snagged the neck of his shirt.

"Kid, calm down!" she hissed in the voice she used on new recruits when they bolted in line of fire. "The hell'd you run for?" Adjusting her hold, her hand now settled heavily on his shoulder. To anyone passing by it would look less innocuous than her nearly wringing his neck.

lol, I woulda worked with whatever you gave me, and pardon the assumption that she caught him, but I figure she's probably a bit faster.

Jurinjo 05-19-2011 11:55 AM

Your assumption is fine. =) She's in shape and he's...well a civilian with no inclination to sports. Since Poggio may be offline for awhile should we draw the moment til the chaos longer or allow her character to jump in if we happen to get far enough into war?

The sound that came from Gan's mouth was probably a puppy-like yelp. Though she had him firmly still his thoughts were still running around faster than he could process. It took a few seconds but he bit his panic down enough to answer her. Truthfully...

"I think I'm going crazy." he tried to force a well of emotions down. A fear of how her reaction would be once he finished. "I-I-I. Can see an aura around you. Then I felt a memory the fire burn my arm once you spoke to me." he raised the sleeve on his left arm to show her his burn. It wasn't terribly bad enough to disfigure his arm but the scars that were left by the flame went up his forearm, narrowing towards his elbow.

Fey 05-19-2011 12:12 PM

Keeping her voice firm, but calm Andi absorbed what he said. "You're not going crazy kid, but you're probably gonna convince anyone you talk to like that you are. I don't know what you're talking about with an aura, but it's probably just my training that you can sense, I've been running with a lot of adrenaline lately."

The itch between her shoulders was a bit less intense now, who, or what, ever was following her had lost her during that last sprint. Time to up the odds. With her eyes scanning the streets she reached up and clicked on her headset; she'd left it off on the chance it was how she was being followed. A series of fast clicks answered at least one of her questions. Something was still going down, and it wasn't good.

Is his burning a reaction to her or a reaction to the aliens that are following her, since he can sense the mana? And I dunno, we can play tag with them for a while waiting for poggio and not really start any major things until then.

Jurinjo 05-19-2011 02:06 PM

Okay a game of tag and whatnot sounds fun. Maybe we'll get at least some contact with military before shit hits the fan. They got to be looking for her as well. The burning sensation is a reaction to his being hunted too. He hasn't learned to hide himself just yet so standing near you made them aware of someone else worth hunting. The gun to back sensation was her spidey sense to danger. His fear of fire will be his.

Is that headset a sonar thingy? If so I guess we can assume whatever shot those aliens sent was solid. Maybe compacted fire, that'd be the explosion. Magic, but still not blowing their cover.

"Ok" he said actually relaxing just a little. Though fire near his arm...at least the memory of it inched closer still. By now Gan was anticipating some kind of pain but instead it was like...that's when he saw it. Something bright and red was flying in their direction fast! He pushed himself forward, angling some to move himself and the woman out of the way. "Run!"

Fast as the red light was moving they didn't get very far from where it hit and exploded in an intense wave of heat. Gan's hands, knees and ears hurt a little bit but otherwise he wasn't dead yet. The aura he sensed around the woman was in essence what he saw around the charred sidewalk. It floated lazily like mist, only it was absorbed into the surround area, some actually drew towards him. Taking some steps back, "What is that?" he shouted thinking she probably saw it too.

Fey 05-20-2011 01:03 AM

When the kid yelled run she started reciting every swear word she knew, you couldn't run from that thing! Tackling him to the ground at the same time the impact happened she wasn't sure if he knew it was as much her as the blast that sent him to the ground. Mentally recalling the last time she'd seen such a thing she was afraid to look. Glancing about she noted that most of the street was clear, and the few people that had been on the street were gone. Whether they were gone under their own power of literally vaporized in the attack it was hard to say.

Grabbing him and moving quickly she headed towards the side streets, "Keep quiet, and keep down! Dammit looks like the found me again, I'm too tird to take them on and protect you. Do you have a place nearby you can hide?" She paused at the next intersection and peeked around the building before moving onward. As they moved she noted, that again she wasn't burned, or even heated by the hit of that weapon. Her entire squad had been atomized, but she, and now this kid, were both unharmed.

The clicks are actually morris code, so it was information from her superiors given in code so they didn't break radio silence.

Jurinjo 05-21-2011 03:09 PM

Considering they've failed to kill her a number of times why not try to see if the boy is easier game? Makes sense...poor Gan. Haven't Rp'd for awhile. I'm having a hard time pacing my sentences to not all flow so monotone like. u_u

Yep, it is safe to assume she followed since it went after Gan?

"Them?" his voice asked her out of innate curiosity. Gan however knew now wasn't the time. "Yeah I know some." Did she mean for him to just get away? Did she intend to follow? With all honesty he didn't know how the hell we was supposed to outrun whatever shot the missile. His escape routes were meant to shake of bullies and even sometimes that didn't work.

Something Gan had been trying to ignore was his own aura. After the blast it was more prominent, not like the woman's but it wasn't easily dismissed now. Even though he couldn't see anything he could tell they were there. It was like a nightmare. That horrible feeling that something was going to happen, an evil lurking just outside his scope of vision. FWOOM

Gan screamed as a small fire erupted in his steps. Running faster only made the eruptions more frequent. They were playing with him! The repeated blast allowed the boy to pick up more traces of the energy. Instinctively tracing it back to the source he saw it. Vague humanoid in shape but the proportions were just all wrong. Was it some kind of exoskeleton suit? FWOOM this time it singed his pant legs a little.

There wasn't any getting away..."HELP!" he screamed, seeing the woman had been behind the whole time. Though Gan's eyes didn't physically see the creature he knew where it was...somehow. "Right there" he pointed. There was a pause where Gan was expecting another blast coming from it.

Fey 05-22-2011 12:29 AM

As he moved off Andi hoped he was heading towards a safe location. But she was more interested in stopping pursuit. Reaching under her untucked shirt she drew out her glock and prepared to return fire. She might not be able to take them all out, but she would get the kid to safety if it killed her.

He started running and she kept pace, looking back every few seconds to see that they were still being followed. For a split second she thought not...then another blast nearly hit them. More and more landed and she couldn't find the source, couldn't get off a shot that woudl do more than alert everyone nearby that she was armed. When the kid pointed and shouted 'Right there' she thought he was nuts, how could he see what she couldn't.

But anything was worth a try.

Taking aim, right where he pointed she let off three shots. An unearthly scream/hiss filled the air and she knew she'd at least injured the bastard. "Damn kid, how'd you spot that?" She spared a second to give him an incredulous look before urging him on. "We need to get off the street, move! But keep your eyes peeled!"

Jurinjo 05-23-2011 06:40 PM

"I just knew" he said realizing he was starting to get used to it. Again he kept running, this time finding an old house. It was disused since last owner died he had the key and kept the back door unlocked. After running in Gan wished all the belongings hadn't been taken away already. He knew where Mr. Gormon had kept his personal handgun...

"Just who are they?!" he was standing uneasily, away from any windows.

Fey 05-24-2011 10:35 AM

Sliding to a stop inside the house Andi close and slid home the lock on the door. Moving from room to room she checked to make sure it was empty, and looking for anything they could use to secure the position. The back door was already locked, and apparently most of the windows were still intact. She might wish she had furniture to put in front of them all, but for now she'd settle for getting a bit of rest. Returning to the room the kid was in she holstered her gun.

"Well, kid, I don't know who exactly those are...but I know who they're not. They're not human, and they're not friendly. My team made contact with them yesterday, in a field outside the DC limits in Virginia. They cleared us out in seconds with those blasts. Unfortunately, I survived and now they're apparently following me; looking for a chance to finish the job I guess. I didn't mean to get anyone else involved in this, but apparently they're not discriminating between civilian and military."

Sliding to the floor she slipped out a smaller gun, a revolver, and looked at him. "I need to sleep, but I need you to be armed in case they show up again. Normally I'd not do this, but I've been on the move since 1300 yesterday, and I'm running on fumes. If they show up, point, pull the trigger. I'll wake up and take over from there." Offering him the gun, "You run with my hardware, I'll find you and be a lot less pleased about life." She knew the kid wouldn't run, at least not if he felt he could defend himself, she was a pretty good judge of the steel in a man's spine.

Jurinjo 05-24-2011 12:53 PM

Was she serious? The way she so nonchalantly told him they weren't even human almost made him wonder about her psyche. That is if he hadn't been shot at by fireballs. He took the gun, checking for the saftey while very carefully keeping his finger away from the trigger. "Alright...you can call me Gan." He said.

Gan looked at the sort of "glow" both of them had. Only they were being shot at...could this be connected? As soon as she wasn't paying attention to him Gan hoped to find out what it was, though did he had a crazy suspicion....

Poggio 05-24-2011 03:50 PM

He leaned in closer with a keen eye watching over his crews shoulders. They were furiously typing on the ships command module. In the day that had passed on the planets sphere his race had successfully set the natives into a frenzy . So far their primitive weapons had nothing but scratched the surface of armor he and his fellow comrades wore. “I need those diagnostics before the mother ship gets here.” He said starting his usual pacing around the bridge. To his fellow crew his voice merely came off as several clicks and pauses that sounded a lot like morose code due to the true nature of his mouth. Just below the cloud cover that kept them hidden in the atmosphere, the ship could see trails of smoke left behind by the first wave of the invasion sent to weaken the planet. With a little beep of the console the information he wanted was in his grasp. With a smirk on his face, Beta gave the order “Bring the ship down to the surface.” He then walked away from his crew. It was time to investigate the native life for himself, something he enjoyed with a meticulous fashion.

As the ship obeyed his command, Beta readied himself in a special suit of armor made to fit his body since it was much smaller then the average being of his race. As the door to the ship opened Beta found himself instinctively camouflaging himself like the beings they viewed through the ships windows. He had to remind himself to get some specimens before the rest of them were destroyed. None of the soldiers had any idea how valuable their genetics could have been. Especially if their skin cells could protect them from many elements.

(( forgive me if my post is a little off, I haven’t had time to thoroughly read through all of the post just skim. ))

Fey 05-24-2011 08:52 PM

"Alright Gan," relinquishing the side arm she stretched out against a load bearing wall and lay on her back. "Don't worry, it'll be okay." She knew he must've been freaking out, heck, with her training she was pretty close to that point herself. But for now, she put it aside and forced her body to sleep. Closing her eyes she quickly fell into a deep rest, her mind and body clicking off like a switch had been struck.

[Feel free to do whatever, she'll wake if there's a commotion. And Poggio you're fine we can all wiggle around with time right now :)]

Jurinjo 06-01-2011 02:35 PM

It had been a few short hours. Time that went by surprisingly fast as he practiced using his new sense. Whatever was shooting at them before either lost track of their prey or enjoyed taking their time. Maybe it was the walls, the house still had power it could interfere with this sort of...energy vision? In any case Gan was about to make his way back to the woman when he saw some men converging on her. He wasn't sure but he must've made a sound since they all turned their guns on him. Freaking out Gan tried to step back behind the corner only to bump into it. A bullet streaked out the gun Gan was holding. Whether it actually hit anyone was another thing altogether as a pair of hands wrestled him right to the ground. "Ah don't kill me!"

Fey 06-02-2011 10:30 AM

Andi was already partially awake when the gun went off. In a flurry of movement she kicked the legs out from under the body closest to her and with a deft twist turned to the next one. It took only that amount of time for her to register that these were friendlies. "Stand down!" she growled as one made to approach and disarm Gan and turned to help up the poor grunt she'd already taken down. The four men slowly relaxed and lowered their weapons. Heading over to where the kid'd come up short she plucked up her gun, "Well at least you didn't shoot yourself." Turning to the head of the squad she slipped the handgun back into it's holster. "What's the status?"

"Unknown hostiles, they're pretty much taking us out slowly and methodically. Nothing seems to take them, or their ships, down. General says to report in every two hours, most of the top brass are scurrying about to save top level politicals. No word yet if we're the only location hit, but it's unlikely the strike is that small." The other Major gave in and nodded towards Gan, "Who's the civilian?"

"Gan, apparently they're after him too. No ideas yet why, but kid can see 'em coming so for now he's the best targeting equipment I've got. Don't suppose you brought in extra ordinance to deal with this?"

"No sir, but there's a National Guard base about two kliks west were you should be able to outfit and reload."

Jurinjo 06-02-2011 06:15 PM

Even though none of the answers were directed towards him it seemed the more in learned the less he seemed to know. This was serious...an alien invasion almost straight out of the movies! This was all insane and as more questions entered his mind the more he struggled just to say something. Gan had been absent mindedly staring a one of the men who's aura was similar to that woman. The one who still hadn't given him her name.

His breath became still for a moment. Now there were two of those aliens. "They're at the back door." he said with a squeak trying to be subtle about not seeing them. Though if they understood human facial expressions then they already knew.

[[I'm trying not to make you do all the work...but if I basically am please let me know]]

Fey 06-02-2011 09:35 PM

Silence dropped on the room like a baby grand, with a flash of hand signals the men and Andi spread out. One of the other soldiers moved to flank Gan, if need be he would protect him from any stray shots in a fire fight. Andi and the other Major slipped on either side of the back door and she pulled a larger caliber hand gun out. In the new silence her hissing voice seemed loud, "Aim for the head, if we can take one of these down we might be able to figure out what we're up against."

With a series of counts they slammed open the door and tried to find their targets.

[Not sure how you want to play up the other guy with 'powers' so feel free to move him as needed. And since our resident alien isn't around we can do whatever we want LOL]

Jurinjo 06-03-2011 07:20 PM

Gan was loosely surrounded as the soldiers mounted an offense while giving him a little cover from any cross fire. He moved with the group but tried to stay where it felt safest of course. Even if he could see them his aim was obviously terrible if he couldn't hit someone from across a living room.

They knew by now they'd been spotted and readied themselves for the humans. Even though they were superior they knew they were far from invincible Gan knew his job in this fight was to provide information on where the enemy was...

"There's two of them. One on the shed!" Just as he said that a ball of fire sprung into existence. One of the men sprinted forward, just barely avoiding any splash damage. "Take this you invisible bastard!" he yelled. The hail of bullets connected but the armor deflected every one of them. In a momentary frustration he released built up energy from the previous battles into one bullet. One second there was a bright pink light from the muzzle, the next its camouflage failed. Even Gan was surprised to see what it really looked like.

[[Yeah, so his power is offensive. Eventually Gan will have to develop something more.]]

Fey 06-04-2011 11:18 PM

Firing half her clip into the target Andi was about to loose her patience when the Major really let one loose. As the thing before her revealed it's true form she felt a cold sweat break out on her back. She didn't have the luxury of freaking out, that would be saved for later. "Gan, where's the other one?" She, and two others, were visually sweeping the area, hoping to not be caught unawares.

Jurinjo 06-05-2011 01:17 AM

Gan heard the woman speak but wasn't as much concerned with her question as the fact he was being lifted form the ground. "Gyaaaah!!" he screamed as he was being thrown into the air like a child's play thing. The major was finishing off the unveiled alien when he heard the boy's scream. 'What now?!' crossed his thoughts when that very person was unceremoniously dropped atop of him.

The alien creature revealed itself. It screamed in rage for its fallen comrade and the private who was guarding Gan screamed with it. His body, against his own will, lifted the gun and began firing.

The major, reacting the quickest, shoved Gan off of him to fire at the offender. Only to see the pain sticked face of Private Saunders as he fired on his friends. He push Gan back down as he tried to get himself up. The bullets went over them, but they weren't meant for them anyway. Bullets made their trip with deadly resolution towards Andi. He hesitated firing his own gun...

[[hmm maybe I'm moving too fast? Btw I just thought- what is Andi's rank anyway?]]

Fey 06-06-2011 09:44 AM

"Shit!" Andi only partially saw Gan's trip through the air; when he crashed down on the other member of the team she wasn't prepared. Turning she tried to track the new threat, but she had other worries than the civilian. She heard the sharp retort of the Private's gun and waited to feel the burning sting of the bullet ripping through her...instead she felt a faint buzz in her mind. Her mind separated and it felt as though she was watching herself in a slowed down action movie.

The shots he'd fired seemed to miss her by hairs-breath, and now angry, she moved to confront the other attacker. With a supressed shout of rage she pulled back her fist and slammed it into the torso of their attacker. A muted green glow seemed to show where her fist made contact and she could hear, as well as feel, a wet crunch. The alien made a horrific gurgling scream as she brought in her other hand in a punishing cross strike, the butt of her gun tearing away at the armor on it's face.

Why she never used her gun she wouldn't be able to say, but it just felt so much better, so much freer, to use her fists. As the creature dropped to a knee she swung in her heavily booted foot and smashed her heel into it's hip. Another dull flash of green and the sound of bones being dislocated and broken filled the air. After a few more strikes it was on the ground, not moving, and she finally felt like she was back to being herself.

Turning she looked to see if everyone was okay. "Anyone need medical?" she barked. The rest of the team shook their head, but the Private was on the ground, shaking uncontrollably. His CO dropped down and shook him.

"Saunders, get ahold of yourself!" he said as he twisted the man onto his back.

"It's...I can feel it still in my mind! Get away from me!" the smaller man shoved the hand away from him and started to fumble for his side arm. "I...I...can't fight...you need to stop me Sir!" The Major shot a look at Andi, and she knew what he was asking.

Reaching down to the prone body she hoped this would work, and with a fast and vicious twist broke the creatures neck.

[you're not going too fast, action scenes should be quick :) and I believe I made Andi a Major....will have to look at her bio....]

[[Hmm, so Major Andi, an Major Carter?]]

Both men had their mouth agape as they watched Andi summarily kick the alien's ass...bare handed...and glowing. "Shit, what as that radiation?" Major Carter was having his reality broken a little on just what a human was capable of. Gan on the other hand took it in stride. "That was cool! And dude you shot a energized bullet at the other one!" Seeing them all looking at him brought him back down to Earth. "um...is he okay?" he asked meekly.

"He's your responsibility." Major Carter motioned from Andi to Gan as he picked up his radio and started communicating with his superiors on the situation...leaving out information of course. He didn't want to sound like a nut over the line.

Andi gave a short nod, of course the kid would be her's to look after, they weren't an extraction team. As she listened to the other Major relay the information she crouched down to examine the remains. Part of her was pretty horrified that she's literally just stomped it into the ground, but the rest of her was glad to find they could be stopped.

Peeling off pieces of the armor she slowly revealed the body underneath. The face, while battered badly, showed large, faceted eyes, mouth with multiple set of mandibles and no discernible nose or ears. After the medic on the group looked over the Private he crouched down on the other side and gave a toneless whistle.

"Damn, what are these things?" The two of them removed the torso armor and stared at the long, narrow chest and slender, delicate looking, arms. Nothing about the physiology showed why they had been so tough to defeat though. "I'm gonna have to take it back, let the real scientists look it over." He moved and talked to his CO whom ordered a scientific team to stand by.

[Not sure where you want to head next, feel free to pipe in via the HQ, lol And sorry for disappearing for a week, I sorta fell off the internet]
