I have discovered the most wonderful snack...

Peanut butter covered carrots! I know it sounds weird, but it's soo good! Like a salty sweet... Love it!

Have you ever come across a strange combo of food that just tastes so good? If so, what was it, and how did you come to it?

Ashurato 05-09-2011 10:49 PM

Nutella and anything.

Chocolate and bacon.

Good gracious, it's addictive.

Chocolate and bacon... I need to try this! And I agree with Nutella and anything. That stuff... Is marvelous.

Ashurato 05-09-2011 10:53 PM

At first, it sounds like such a weird combination, but the bacon and chocolate go sickeningly well together. I recommend the dark chocolate.

Misericorde 05-09-2011 10:58 PM

I'll have to pick up some chocolate. I already have bacon... Hehe... Misi will experiment!

CupcakeDolly 05-09-2011 10:58 PM

I don't doubt the peanut butter and carrot thing, since peanut butter goes good with just about anything. When I was a kid, I ate peanut butter and syrup on tortillas for snacks until one time my dad bought a can of cream cheese frosting that had been partially opened. He threw it away and I salvaged it for snacking, and from that day on I had a new favorite snack: peanut butter and cream cheese frosting on a tortilla!
I was also very fat. =P

Ashy 05-09-2011 11:04 PM

apparantly peanut butter and celery is really nice but i dont like celery ><

i like french onion dip and carrots :P

CupcakeDolly 05-09-2011 11:05 PM

Mmm, french onion dip is yummy. And peanut butter and celery is only good when you lick the peanut butter off and throw the celery away.

Ashy 05-09-2011 11:08 PM

that sounds about right ><

i like vegemite and cheese, and that will be a weird combinations to non australians :P

Misericorde 05-09-2011 11:09 PM

Mmm both of those sound soooo good. I'm a fat girl so I love food... XD Which is odd, I don't eat a lot. D: But meh. I <3 Food.

Quiet Man Cometh 05-09-2011 11:12 PM

I like peanut butter and celery. My sister in law is fond of jam and cheese sandwiches. Best thing ever is half cool whip or marshmallow goo with half strawberry yogurt. Works with fruit, cookies, celery ;), and basically anything that would qualify as a vehicle to carry dip.

Ashurato 05-09-2011 11:13 PM

@ Ashy - I've never even heard of vegemite!

Demonskid 05-09-2011 11:13 PM

I would try that.. if I werent allergic to carrots xD

Celery and Peanut Butter is good though :3

Misericorde 05-09-2011 11:16 PM

Yes Ashy, what IS Vegemite? D:

CupcakeDolly 05-09-2011 11:18 PM

Haha, apparently it's a weird combination for non-Australians because non-Australians have never even heard of it. xD

Ashy 05-09-2011 11:19 PM

its a savoury spread similar to promite or marmite but it doesnt taste as crappy as either of those ><

its made in australia so thats probably why you guys havent heard of it :P

Espy 05-09-2011 11:19 PM

-juggles around some parmesan and salami with crackers-

Quiet Man Cometh 05-09-2011 11:22 PM

We've still got a jar of Vegemite in our cupboard left from when one of my sisters came home for winter holidays with a friend from Australia.

Ashurato 05-09-2011 11:23 PM

Promite? Marmite?

Now I'm starting to think pokemon.

*goes to google it up*

....-facedesks multiple times before laughing at herself for thinking the same thing-

Ashurato 05-09-2011 11:25 PM

Right?!

But now that I see what it is... it does not look all that appetizing to me.

I had the same thought. -Falls over.-

Espy 05-09-2011 11:27 PM

-snorts with laughter-

Wait, screw that, I'm trying to not fall off my chair.

Ashurato 05-09-2011 11:31 PM

Trisphee will not be liable to pay your medical bills should you hurt yourself from laughing too much. :3

But we'll blow kisses your way and hope the boo-boos get better soon.

Ashurato 05-09-2011 11:54 PM

*sends some keeses over via trade*

Misericorde 05-10-2011 12:06 AM

Oooo yay! -Flails around.- Kisses for Misi!

Ashy 05-10-2011 12:18 AM

it actually is quite nice, if youre not a fan of overly sweet spreads :P

Ashurato 05-10-2011 12:20 AM

There's a foreign foods section in my local mart.
I'm actually interested enough to go and try it, so I will.

If I end up hating it... damn you, Ashy!

Fey 05-10-2011 12:48 AM

Bacon and chocolate, best combo ever...
KitKats(normal) and BBQ sauce, delish
Jalapeņos and cream cheese(on pizza)
Hmm, what else...really, chocolate on most everything makes me happy too...

And no, no vegemite for me, I learned that lesson long, long ago LOL

Espy 05-10-2011 12:53 AM

Cheese on anything is decent, except chocolate. Don't ask.

Ashurato 05-10-2011 01:00 AM

@ Fey - Jalapenos and cream cheese. Heaven and hell. I love it.

Fey 05-10-2011 01:04 AM

Uhhhhhhhm, no, no chocolate and cheese can be gooooooooooooooooooooood too. Just not cheap/icky cheese, cause well, it's icky without so with won't help much.

Ashy 05-10-2011 01:26 AM

oven roasted philidelphia cream cheese and bowen mangos is another good combo :P

Fey 05-10-2011 01:28 AM

I'm not a mango fan..I've got texture issues with a lot of foods, and mango's when over/under ripe are just gross LOL
OH, another one, horseradish and celery....lets face it, celery doesn't taste like anything unless you zing it up!

Espy 05-10-2011 01:28 AM

That actually sounds legit. I love both ingredients XD

Lauv Keiko 05-10-2011 04:19 AM

donut and ketchup
lol
but hey...never ever mix crabs and squash, it's poison

Misericorde 05-10-2011 04:20 AM

Crab and Squash is poison? O_o

Ashy 05-10-2011 07:23 AM
